Sold me a 13 year old pressure gauge…

Sold me a 13 year old pressure gauge online that was on sale with no disclosure of age whatsoever. Box had clearly been handled countless times before, inside a nice CD-ROM with who knows what content! That´s how I realized.

Not only is a 13 year old unused pressure gauge with a stiff, if not toasty hose, not reliable at all, it´s outright dangerous for a newbie who will assume they are receiving a perfect product. Your needle/pointer might get stuck, and if you are newly certified you will be too busy to notice that. I have seen newbies run out of air in shallow waters using old rental gear because instructors will do two dives per tank for students. Just like new old stock mechanical wristwatches need cleaning, lubrication and calibration to work, so does a pressure gauge. I can´t imagine your local dive shop ever pulling something like this. This is clearly a webshop move.

When I contacted them the reply was short and not remotely good enough. Yeah, it´s hard to sell a PSG with bar-scale, Mares have stopped selling these in the US, that´s why it was on sale.

WHY ARE YOU SELLING A 13 YEAR OLD PRESSURE GAUGE AS A "REPUTABLE" DIVE SHOP WHO IS FIRST IN LINE FOR OVERALL INDUSTRY RESPONSIBILITY WRT. SAFETY? THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN PULLED FROM THE MARKET ENTIRELY OR SERVICED AND THEN OFFLOADED ON EBAY.

ORDERED APR 27, REFUNDED MAY 21. TOOK NEARLY A MONTH TO SETTLE.

FIRST AND ONLY TIME I GIVE THESE SLACKERS A CHANCE. PAY 10 BUCKS MORE AND FIND A SHOP THAT SUPPORTS DIVERS.

Backordered item, broken snorkel, no response from support

Ordered a mask and snorkel set as a birthday gift and paid for 3-day shipping since I was working with a tight timeline. The items were on backorder — something not clearly communicated at checkout — and arrived over a week after the birthday. The shipping charge was not refunded despite the delay. When the package did arrive, the snorkel top was broken. I sent a photo and contacted support to initiate a return. That was over a week ago and I've received no response. The mask itself looks fine. I want to support non-Amazon retailers, which is why I'm leaving this review rather than just disputing the charge — but this experience needs improvement on communication, inventory transparency, and customer service follow-through.

This site is a rip off

This site is a rip off. I ordered 3 items on 6-30 with a delivery date 7-8. OK, My trip was 7-11. Two Items arrived, the torch did not. No auto email, no option to cancel and NO NEW DATE. After 4 emails and 3 calls to the service center, I received 3 different delivery dates all missed. Then an email that says "Delivered" not true. The day after this email is a Marketing add, "Your light is now back in stock- do you want to buy it. They do not have a clue of the inventory and delivery, OK. Just refund and move on. I gave up on the $189 torch and money because the incompetence is so annoying, I have up.

Their loss someone else's gain.

My step son wanted to purchase a used dive computer for me as an early birthday gift. We put the amount in my name since the dive computer is mine and any issues will be dealt with by me as well any subsequent purchases. Their payment system flagged the purchase and we were asked to verify some information. After a week of pending after the information was verified we got a message that the order was canceled claiming potential fraud.

Poor Customer Service

I ordered a Catalina 40cf tank from them on Nov 18th and the order stated "pending". I used their chat box and called once seeking an estimated ship date. All 3 times, someone said they would contact their distributor and the would get back to me. No one ever did. I found the tank through another dive company and it shipped the next day. I sent an email to Diver Supply requesting a refund. The next day, Dec 6th, I received confirmation of the refund, but they didn't bother to include an apology. I'll never buy from them again.

Good prices, but.....

Good prices, but.... I ordered a battery kit for my dive computer. It took them 9 FULL DAYS before they even SHIPPED the item! 17 days before i had it in hand. The battery itself was generic, and of unknown quality.
I posted this review on their website, but it's pretty obvious they control what gets posted, and what doesn't. I'm not at all impressed. This is not a quality company, and not a place I will buy from again.

The response was not even a hint of the concept of putting the customer first.

This is not what I felt when I visited this store, but I will post what I felt when I used the Divers Supply online shopping site.

There are many web-based shopping sites for diving equipment in the world, but I would like to post my experience with this seller's lazy business philosophy, which I found appalling.

On June 4,2021, I ordered a strap belt with elastic function for a diving knife with a quantity of 20.

The shipping cost to Japan was $51.25, for a total cost of $210.25.

19 days had passed since I placed the order, but there was no announcement that the product had been shipped, so I sent a message to customer support to find out the status.

The following is a verbatim copy of the original message delivered by customer support.

We are waiting on 8 of the straps to come in. We have 12 of them that we can ship if you would like for us to ship those and cancel the others. Or we can wait for the others to come in!

I told customer support that I would wait until all 20 of the quantities I ordered were available.

It was the 4th of July. It had already been a month since I placed my order, but there was no announcement that my order had been shipped, so I sent five messages to customer support in July alone, asking about the status and reasons why my order had not been shipped.

The excuse from customer support is as follows.
Of course, the original text has been copied and posted as is.

As I have already stated. We have 12 of them, we can ship them now if you would like. We are still waiting on trident to get the remaining 8 in stock and shipped to us. They are the manufacturer who are out of them. I have stated this before. I have also stated that we can ship others that are in stock that are the exact same, made in the same place but are from another manufacturer. I also stated we can cancel and refund your order and no expense to you.

Although customer support suggested that I buy an alternative product with the same functionality, they did not provide me with any details of the product, nor did they attach any product images or even provide the unit price of the product.

The following is a original copy of the management philosophy of Divers Supply.

Divers Supply strives to get your ordered items to you as quickly as possible. If you need an item by a specific date, please contact us so that we can ensure your needs are met. In many cases, this may be as simple as changing the color or upgrading to a different product. We will do our best to meet your needs.

It's August 4th and already two months have passed since I placed my order. So I decided to send a message to the manufacturer and ask them why they can't provide products to Divers Supply.

I sent a message to Divers Supply's customer support and ended it with the following sentence.

I sent a direct message to Trident customer service today, so we should know soon who is lying.

On August 6, more than two months after I placed my order, I finally received a message from Divers Supply's customer support that all 20 of the items I ordered had been shipped.

Below is a copy of the original message sent to me by Divers Supply's customer support.

We look forward to it. Have a great day. Your account has been blocked and so have your messages. DO NOT ORDER FROM US AGAIN!

When the orders from users exceeded the amount of stock available at Divers Supply, I felt that the company was a seller with a rotten management philosophy that only made proposals that were convenient for them, abandoning even the company's efforts to meet users' demands without thinking from the standpoint of customers and fulfilling their responsibilities as a seller.
