Great books, some aren't in EPUB
My experience with EBOOKS has been very positive overall. I'm sorry we disappointed you here; and I do understand about Adobe.
The good news is that we're days away from supporting the free, modern desktop app, Thorium Reader. Thorium will be a massive improvement on Adobe's solution. In particular, it has native support for Linux, no need to create another account. And It's quite elegant.
If you'd like to give that a try, login to your account at eBooks.com next week and see how that goes. But if you'd like a refund and to get on with your life, just contact our help desk and they'll be glad to process that for you.

Excellent alternative to Amazon
I like having an alternative to Amazon. On eBooks.com you have a selection of books to choose from with prices competitive (and sometimes better) than Amazon. And I like the idea of supporting another business that is not as big as Amazon. The books are easy to get. If you have an ebook or a tablet, it's easy to download and get the book. Or just read it on your laptop. Either way, I have never had issues and recommend this site. I have also been using it for about 5 years now.

Exceptional service
I’ve had a very negative experience with obtaining digitized books on the google play platform. I had not come across ebooks.com so I checked into it before making a purchase. Alex at ebooks.com researched the problem I had and explained why I had the problem. Apparently, some ebooks are not formatted to leverage the capabilities inherent on an ebook platform. I am very pleased by the customer support provided by ebooks.com and will definitely make my next purchase there.
