I was disappointed when I received my Greta domed handbag from Dooney and Bourke… it LOOKED LIKE leather, but it was COTTON!!!! What a cheap fake!!! I will have to pay closer attention if I ever buy another one!!! So disappointed!!!! Ugh 😑

POOR QUALITY/DOES NOT HONOR WARRANTY!!!

Strap is peeling after only 3 months of use. Company said my item is under warranty, however, I have to pay a return shipping fee, and based on their opinion, will decide if they'll replace it! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BAG, BILLFOLD, OR WALLET FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!

Got my purse in two days to…the little blue bag

Got my purse in two days to Chicago..exactly what I wanted…..well made, perfect size and looks as good as a much more expensive bag….my favorite by far…

I am so disappointed with the…

I am so disappointed with the experience I am currently having with Dooney and Bourke. In the past, this was a trustworthy site with no delivery problems or merchandise issues. However, this time is a complete "about face." There have been no updates regarding the delivery of my order, and no one has responded to my communication. Unfortunately, if this is the new D & B, there is nothing good in the future for this company.

Do Not get involved with this company

Ordered a purse with pre-order 2/16/25. Requested update on order on 4/16/25. Told purse was coming.
Purse never received. By 7/16/25 request refund. Order status says Not shipped. No response from customer service. The customer service at this company is abysmal. Do not buy anything from this webstie.

I purchased the skipper bag & wallet at full price & it went on sale the next day. I called customer service & wanted to cancel the order & rebuy it, but was told I can’t do that. I wanted them to refund the difference to my credit card & was told they can’t do that either. I asked to speak to a manager & was told there wasn’t a manager available & they would get back to me in 24-48 hours. Very bad customer service. I have never dealt with a company with such awful customer service & cannot solve an issue. I will not accept the purse & will be returning it. Mary Ellen Iapicco

Hiding behind the truth



To the Dooney & Bourke Team,

I am writing once again regarding the charge you processed after I had already received confirmation of my order cancellation. Not only was this unauthorized, but it has caused a significant financial hardship during an already difficult time

.Let me be clear: $200 is not a small amount. For many of us — especially when you are charged without a reason .. that amount represents groceries, bills, or basic living needs. It is not disposable income. It’s not an inconvenience — it’s a burden. And the fact that your company processed this charge anyway, then dismissed my repeated attempts to resolve it, is both unprofessional and inhumane.

What makes this worse is the complete lack of ownership and accountability from your company. I’ve spent countless hours engaging with your online customer service, only to be met with copy-paste responses and indifference. No resolution. No real help. Just deflection.

This isn’t just a billing error — this is a violation of trust. And now, because your team refuses to take responsibility, I am being forced to escalate this further. I will be reporting this unauthorized charge to my credit card company and filing a dispute.

I expect an immediate refund and a formal acknowledgment of the time and stress this has caused.

NEVER AGAIN

Long story short customer service is a joke and there is only a chat box that feeds off UPS. I’ve ordered several bags and never had an issue until today and I can’t get any help. I have told all family and friends to never order another bag charm or wallet. UPS says delivered and left a photo that I can’t view and now I’m stuck with no annswers, no money and no merchandise. But Dooney has their money so oh well right. Never again

Yellow is not White in any world

Ordered a bag to be shipping abroad. The bag came in the wrong color. Customer service told me there would be no replacement and that I must be confused because white comes in different shades. I said yes it does but Yellow is not one of them. The bag was a completely different color (which they sell) and packaged as if it where white. How dumb do they think we are? After 40 years of purchasing bags and being a loyal customer I'm done.

Deceptive advertising and anti-customer return policy bought a nice B&D bag for my wife in…

I bought a nice B&D bag for my wife in December on line directly from D&B. She has probably owned 25 D&B purses. I decided to wait until Valentines Day to give it to her. We celebrated early. She did not like the color so I just attempted to return the bag. Turns out their return policy is 30 days from purchase. I do not recall seeing that condition when ordering. I feel D&B is very deceptive in their advertising and their customer service is terrible. No more D&B purchases ever! Co-workers (female) will know of my experience and I hope they do not purchase either.

I purchased two bags for Christmas…

I purchased two bags for Christmas presents, I have a couple of birthdays coming up and I want to get two more. I've had D&B bags for years, Coach is another favorite. The bags arrives as expected, packed very well, no issues. The Italian specialty leather is soft and on the Aligator it will soften over time. It is just so classy & sophisticated, I hesitated twice now in giving them away at all. But thats when I know my sister and daughters too will love it... the gift I'd like to have. In fact I told them, if you aren't happy with it, no worries, I love it! Well, I did not get the bags. And that makes me totally happy to see them happy too. One of the bags is more of a Rigid leather style compared to the soft leather bags they already have, but that makes them great being so different. My girls worked at Nordstrom in their earlier days and always had beautiful desirable bags. These are right on target and classy, dress up or down... you'll be happy. Check out the sales, the one of a kinds and don't forget to add any promo codes to get the best deals out there. Love this site and so will you. (Read the sizes, get out a tape measure to imagine what you'll receive)

return problem

I purchased a purse for my mother. Dooney and Burke sent the wrong purse. I sent it back with the provided label. They received it January 6th, it's now Jan 28 and I'm still waiting for my money. I've called twice but this last time the agent said he would put it on high priority and send it to the resolution department. Unbelievable, it's like they're curing cancer there. It's a refund of just over $100, it's unreal to me that it takes that long to process a return, especially when it's their fault.

Product never received and the worst…

Product never received and the worst customer service. I ordered on the 8th and it is now the 24th and I still haven’t received it. UPS said there’s an issue with the label according to them. It keep going back and forth between three different cities. They can’t hold for pickup because Dooney doesn’t allow pickups they say. I’ve emailed numerous times and no response. There’s never a live agent for me to talk to. So how am I supposed to get my product or refund?

I ordered a Florentine Hobo 26 online…

I ordered a Florentine Hobo 26 online when I was in the US last August. The handle was MUCH shorter than in the photo and there is zero adjustment. I could also barely get my hand inside the bag to put my wallet in or take my wallet out. I applied for a return/refund with no issue whatsoever. The refund was in my account in 5 days so no problem there. The problem I have is the handles are always shorter than pictured - wouldn't be able to get your arm through it, especially if you are wearing a heavy sweater or winter coat. A few of the bags don't open wide enough to get your hand inside and pull items out. Instead of them having the zipper extend beyond the bag it stops right at the end even though there is about 2 extra inches of usable space to open the bag wider. I also agree with one statement that said the straps are too thin for the weight of the bags... and they are weighty. As far as quality I'm happy with it. I would just say check the measurements carefully and measure it up to any other bag you have. The Florentine, Penrose and Lucca satchels will all have more handle room once the bag softens and you can get the "smile" down to a reasonable place because until that happens, the handle/s will always be way too short. I have to say any flaws in design are created by the men who design these bags. They need to collaborate with real women so we can have bags that are stylish, practical and easy to use.

I purchased 2 purses on 11/29/24

I purchased 2 purses on 11/29/24. Per the postal service was delivered on 12/5/24. To this day I still haven't received those 2 purses. I did ask my neighbors since i wasn't home and they wasn't home either to see anything. I submitted a case/claim on 12/5/24 and i received a case # and was told someone would contact me via email within 3-5 days.

As of today i still haven't heard from anyone. I've tried emailing and no response. I spoke with someone on 12/16/24 and was told no one had look at my case and when they do I'll get email. This is so unacceptable and christmas is next week. Once I hear back i will change my review.

Dooney & Brouke has the worst customer…

Dooney & Brouke has the worst customer service ever. I ordered the Pebble Turnlock Handle Tote 30 paid $358.00. The delivery was delayed due to being back ordered. Even after the purse was shipped out was delayed arriving to my home. Once I seen the purse was on sale for $209.00, I called to customer service to see if they could work with me on a price adjustment. The service tech was very short and rude saying the I am passed the five days when the purse was shipped. I explained that I just received the purse and the new sale price just started. It was not my fault that the shipping was delayed. I asked to speak with the supervisor and was told that I will be contacted in 24 to 48 hours by the supervisor. I was told to just return the purse. I explained that would be more work on everyone's part. It is Dooney & Brouke way of the customer to say forget it due all the headaches involved. Never again will I ever order anything from Dooney & Brouke. They do not value you as a customer.

CUSTOMER PAY FOR RETURNS

Not as described. They sent to me through cheap USPS who I had to fight because they claimed it was delivered and wasn’t. I was in front of house at time. On top of it, they want you to send back UPS,at your expense. All other reputable companies pay for return if you’re not satisfied. Apparently, they must anticipate a lot of dissatisfied customers.

I have purchased many purses / bags…

I have purchased many purses / bags throughout the years from various manufacturers. This is the first time I purchase from D&B that they do not include a storage cloth bag for the purse. My product arrived as a Christmas gift in a box and in plastic. It appeared just like any package arrives to my house from Amazon. Never ordering from D&B again!!!
