Dangerous and Negligent Care – Avoid This Surgeon.
I had a tummy tuck surgery with Dr. Bugra Ipek on October 4th, and my experience was extremely dangerous. Before my flight back home, I informed him that I had chills, fever, and that my wound was open and leaking, but he dismissed my concerns.

After returning home, I sent him pictures showing clear signs of infection, and his only advice was to continue antibiotics. Thankfully, I went to a hospital immediately instead of following his instructions. I had to undergo two additional surgeries to drain 5 liters of infected fluid, and I now require a wound vac to recover.

Dr. Ipek’s negligence put my life at serious risk. He and his team appear to care more about money than patient safety. I strongly warn anyone considering surgery with him to reconsider.

Traveling from the U.S. to Istanbul for surgery was a big decision, but choosing Dr. Bugra İpek was the best one I made. From the first consultation, his calm confidence, kindness, and professionalism immediately put me at ease. He listened carefully to my goals and guided me through every step with honesty and care.

What happened to me 16hours post op at the hospital:

Woke up dehydrated due to poorly handled anesthesia

The Dr pressured me to pay €100 for a lympathic massage while still semi-conscious.

Forced me to leave hospital 16h post-op, while still clearly UNWELL ( not able to stand without assistante, vomitting, faintings- i couldn't even get dressed, he along with assistant braught me back with the wheelchair at the hotel next door)

Passive aggressive because I wasn’t fit to leave

Refused to give me my medical records

This wasn’t just a financial loss — it cost me part of my health, too.

I had my breast augmentation with Dr. Bugra and I’m so glad I chose him. He’s a trustworthy, attentive surgeon who really took the time to listen to me and guide me toward the best option for my body. Communication was smooth from start to finish — and his team was incredibly responsive, both before and after the surgery, always available when I needed anything.

I started looking for info about 3 months before the surgery (breast reduction) and when I contacted the clinic, the advisor suggested Dr Bugra. I went in blind because I met him the day of surgery but it was all great, we communicated in English without any problem.
