DANGEROUS - ASKS FOR GOVT. PHOTO ID, DRIVER'S LICENSE
I cannot comment on the site itself, for at the end of creating my account Drop Catch asked me to upload a government photo ID.
Err, isn't this exactly what we are advised NOT to do by government departments?!?
If someone has your government ID they can steal your identity and ruin your life, opening accounts and running up debt in your name.
No way I am handing over such sensitive information to some random website. I believe it may even be illegal for them to demand this in order to open an account. Very shady way of operating.
They are expensive and unsuccessful
They are expensive and unsuccessful. They also require sensitive information like your picture holding your ID which is illegal from their side.
This company SUCKS!!
This company SUCKS!!
I was hoping to buy a domain which they snipe with bots. They have a biding system where everyone can join to buy a domain. Now this is not that bad to be honest.
What they do is they ask so much personal data, id photo's with you on it, credit card info, creditcard payment sheet, electric bill you name it. (seems fraudulant)
This is not some type of crypto exchange...
This is one of the lowest methods to make money, I hope they feel proud of themselves... scum
This company is a scam company
This company is a scam company. They will sign you up for multiple other companies. I signed up for "dropcatch" and they signed me up for "namebright.com" without my consent. If that is not a scam, I don't know what is! I also reported them to ICANN.
No way to delete your credit card
After I read comments about them here I decided to delete my card info, and ...no way to delete it, nor support email on their website.

Poor experience
Poor experience. I opened an account and connected my credit card. After that, it asked me to send my national identity card with a selfie. I have sent that. But no response from them regarding verification. Once I have reached out to support to know about that, they were asking for more verification. I don't understand what they will do with my information. I mean, what more do you want than a person's national identification card? Seeing the poor experience of others, I decided not to continue to use their service. Now, I regret submitting my id, selfie and my credit card information to their website. Very shady behavior!
They are a scam
They are a scam. We put up a very specific, expiring domain for them to catch and they successfully caught it. Once they did, they claimed that multiple people bid on it (this is virtually impossible, it was an obscure, 10-letter domain). Then they ran an “auction” for 3 days. We put up a significant amount as the max bid, assuming we would purchase it at a higher cost. Throughout the 3 day period, there were multiple anonymous bids on this domain, raising the price significantly. We were still the top bidder and at the last minute they drove up the price further and told us we lost the bid. I assume they still own it and just will attempt to sell it back to us for profit. On principle we won’t buy. Don’t use them.
catch.club, dropcatch.com and namesilo.com will not give you your domain if you win it with less amount.
Lost two domain for catch.club bot. So I saw a domain and 2 hours to be deleted, I placed order, few mins later, someone else bid higher, I noticed this is strange.
The domain has been there and no one bidded it, why is it now?
I increased my bid and the system was automated to increase over my bids. Lastly the bid was close and I saw the domain re-listed at dropcatch.com. Hmmm.
Again, I saw another pending delete domain in the same catch.club and decided not to bid until 1 minute to be deleted, immediately 1 minute to deleted, I bid, I got confirmation that I have won…but funny enough, while I was waiting for the domain to be released to me, I won’t to dropcatch.com and saw the domain has already been listed for sale again while in my catch.club Acount, it’s pending delivery.
These 3 companies, dropcatch.Com, catch.club and namesilo.com seems to be working together in defrauding people their domain bids.
I won’t recommend using them as you will just be helping them to detect good domains which they will snatch away (even if you won the bidding) and, list somewhere else and sell higher.
After the experience of dealing with…
After the experience of dealing with them, it appeared that they are not serious and that they delude people that they are a company. These are fraudsters and they must be arrested immediately..
They ask a lot of private information. I think that they can use it for scams.
They ask a lot of private information.
Ask:
1. Photo passport
2. Photo credit card
3. Selfie with passport
4. Bank and credit card statement
5. Utility bill (gas or electric bill).
6. Mobile phone bill.
Their competitors don't ask for this information, just verification phone number and card by $1.
So, I think that they can use it for scams.
As soon as I request a pending delete…
As soon as I request a pending delete name, presto...a bot enters the fray and it goes to auction.
Back to snapnames.
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Their representatives (both customer service agent and his manager) were rude and could not have cared less about resolving my issue. In the end, they did not resolve the issue and stated that if I didn't like it, I didn't have to do business with them. Very unprofessional. I do not recommend using this company or trusting them with your personal information, passport, or credit card information. Buyer beware.
DropCatch is a ***king Company
DropCatch is one of the most worst company, there are more from similar industries such as SnapNames, Namejet.
Some people are still using their service because they need their desired domains, so there is nothing to do. But on other hand, worst company ever. I saw many times, they do scams, especially with the best domains, and people will do not get the popular domains from their site in the auction, I faced this scam and I feel that lots of people faced it. Their site is very buggy and slow, customer support is worst, and I can say many things about their bad side, overall, avoid it as much as possible.
Never search a "pending delete" domain on this website
Never search a "pending delete" domain on this website, or never give them a hint. Otherwise, their bot will list the domain and purchase it once dropped.
Good experience
I have had a great experience using dropcatch.com. I have sold a few domains in auction everything has gone great so far!
