Dr. Selim Turan performed my surgery two years, and three weeks ago, I returned to Turkey for what was supposed to be a revision surgery touch-up. However, my in-person experience turned out to be an absolute disappointment and a complete display of unprofessionalism. I explicitly asked for a slightly lifted nose, but he did the exact opposite and left me with two humps—one below the bridge and another at the very beginning—neither of which existed before my surgery. When I confronted him, the doctor tried to convince me that my issue could be fixed with just a single injection, completely dismissing the need for surgical intervention simply because he was not going to charge me again. Even though he had previously confirmed to me that what I have on my nasal bridge is a hump, he completely minimized the seriousness of my case. Five days before flying back to my home country, I messaged him to ask if he was certain that this injection was all I needed, but he never deigned to reply. Instead, he only asked me about a friend who traveled with me and was considering him for surgery, though she ultimately decided against the operation after witnessing his dismissive attitude toward me.
This total lack of care continued during my recovery, proving that the post-op follow-up for international patients is completely deficient and unpersonalized. The doctor consistently ignores direct messages, and his assistants gave me contradictory instructions. After multiple attempts to get a straight answer, the doctor finally responded only to tell me not to use the injection they had just discussed. The absolute lack of coordination and the risk they expose patients to with such opposing medical advice is completely negligent. I later heard directly inside his clinic that the doctor sometimes performs 3 to 4 surgeries a day. It is physically impossible to maintain the same precision and performance during a third or fourth operation. Since mine was a revision surgery, which is highly complex, he should have never accepted me as his second patient of the day, but it is clear this clinic operates like a surgery factory that prioritizes volume over quality.
The lack of principles of this doctor and his staff goes so far that they even try to profit from external medical recommendations. When I asked him for the contact details of an eye specialist for my friend, the specialist's actual fee was €700 for the upper procedure and €2,200 for the lower one. However, Dr. Turan and his staff shamelessly inflated the quote to €5,300 just to pocket a massive commission from us. While his assistants recently told me that I could return for another touch-up, I will absolutely not go back. It would be a grave mistake to trust my health for a third time to someone who failed to take my case seriously from the very beginning. It took me a very long time to save up for this trip and pay for his clinic's fees, plane tickets, and hotel accommodations, only to end up with a failed result and a broken trust. My strongest advice to anyone considering him is to thoroughly research your options, demand to be the only or first patient of the day, and never allow them to treat you as a second, third, or fourth slot. If you need a revision surgery specifically, I strongly suggest you avoid this clinic and consult another experienced surgeon who respects their patients.
