From the moment you walk into her clinic, you know and feel that you are in safe hands. And when you’re dealing with a wound and feeling worried or vulnerable, that feeling of safety is everything. It’s the biggest weight off your shoulders and such an immense relief.

Delma is absolutely fantastic. I honestly cannot overstate her professionalism, knowledge, and experience—but just as importantly, her kindness, warmth, and sense of humour. She is an exceptional medical professional and a genuinely lovely human being.

Right from the outset, it was immediately clear how informed and experienced she is. She took the time to fully explain everything to me: what had happened, what we were dealing with, how the wound would heal by secondary intention, what it would look like, how long it would take, what I needed to eat, how to care for it properly, and what a sensible plan moving forward looked like. Nothing was rushed or glossed over.

At the time, I was feeling scared because I’d never dealt with anything like this before. Delma gave me real peace of mind. She made me feel safe, reassured, and in control of what was happening with my own body.

She is also incredibly generous with her time. At no point did I feel rushed. She gave me—and my wound—the care, attention, and patience it needed, which meant so much. I left with a fully cleaned and redressed wound, but also with knowledge and confidence about how to look after it going forward.

The fact that Delma is also a prescriber is a huge reassurance. Knowing that, if needed, she can prescribe antibiotics and treat the underlying infection—not just change the dressing—takes such a weight off your mind. It means everything can be dealt with properly and holistically in one place.

She has been in this industry for decades and it really shows in every single thing she does. Her expertise is obvious, but it’s her humanity that makes her truly special.

On top of all of that, she is warm, kind, friendly, funny, and just a total sunshine of a person. I am so grateful to have been in her care.

Outstanding Care – Leg Ulcer Completely Healed

I cannot praise the specialist nurse enough for the expert care I received. When I first attended, my lower leg was badly swollen, and I was struggling with a painful leg ulcer. Thanks to the nurse’s knowledge, patience, and professionalism, my ulcer completely healed within just six weeks.

The swelling (oedema) has gone down, the ulcer has fully closed, and my general well-being has improved so much. I can now walk without pain, something I honestly thought would take months to achieve.

The level of care was exceptional from start to finish. I felt listened to, supported, and guided through every step of the healing process. I am truly grateful and would highly recommend this specialist nurse to anyone struggling with leg ulcers or swelling issues.
