I reviewed a number of companies and freelancers that create book covers and found Ebook Launch to have the best range of covers, styles and designs. They are quick reads and able to "get" what you want quickly. The project management is also top notch and you're kept in the loop the entire way. What's even better is they offer additional services such as formatting, proofing, etc. making it a one stop shop, but still high quality at the same time, which is tough for most businesses to pull off. I was very pleased with the entire process.

While working on making my first novel more marketable, it was brought to my attention that it probably needed a better cover. After a LOT of research, I turned to Ebook Launch and found them to be affordable, quick-answering, and (best of all) exceptionally talented. My book looks FAR better than it did before and the company exceeded my expectations. I'll be turning to Ebook Launch again, I'm certain of it.

I recently used eBook Launch for an eBook and Print cover, and eBook and Print formatting. In short, my experience far exceeded all expectations. I could sum up my experience by saying that eBook Launch makes self-publishing on a professional level possible for everyone.

eBook Launch has a well-developed work flow system that I highly recommend you follow and trust. You will not be disappointed with the results, which will most likely far exceed your expectations. All communication is through email and the response times are impressively quick. You need to read each email carefully and follow the directions to the letter. Many helpful links will be provided if you plan to publish on Amazon Kindle KDP. If you trust the process and not try to jump ahead, the work flow goes very smoothly.

With regard to the Cover Design services I was more than pleased with the results. I communicated the emotional theme I wanted conveyed to the reader. I provided a description of my book (same description I used for my Amazon page). After looking at hundreds of book covers I could only find about 5 that came close to my vision. I sent these examples in with my application. Most importantly, I encouraged the artist to render a visual interpretation of my words with minimal input from me. In a shorter time than promised Dane sent me two design examples. I liked both designs; however, one design was exactly what I had envisioned, but could not communicate. With only two minor changes the design was perfect for my book. In addition to being spot on with the design, the back cover design was also visually appealing. When my wife first looked at the design her immediate response was “that’s perfect for your book”.

Regarding the Formatting services, I was equally impressed. The formatting provided a professional touch. I was surprised at what a difference professional formatting made when viewing my book on a computer screen. The formatting on the eBook and print editions was done quicker than promised and there were only three corrections (two were my mistakes). In some ways formatting is equally important as the cover design. Keep in mind that the reader spends their time reading your words, so you want it to be a pleasant experience. John did the formatting for my book and was attentive, helpful, and produced a fabulous product.

As I progressed through the work flow Alisha was my project manager. She was always quick to respond to all my questions and was on top of the cover design and formatting work. Having Alisha as a project manager provided me a point of contact for information without interrupting the design or formatting work.

The pricing was in line with what I had expected from my research. What was surprising was that the results were worth far more than the price of the work. In the end it was a small price to pay to have my book look professionally produced. I would never attempt to format my own book in eBook or print form. The learning curve alone would be overly time consuming. For the significant time it would take to learn how and then format my book I could use that time much more wisely.

In summary, I can recommend eBook Launch without any reservations. The important thing on the consumer end is to follow the work flow as laid out in the emails and trust the process. Do your part and the results will not be disappointing. This team knows what they are doing!

Ebook Launch has been very good to work with! Alisha created a beautiful cover for me, and the process was quick and easy. Communication was thorough and responses were timely. I highly recommend them!

Back in 2019 I sent a simple joke book to be formatted to Ebook Launch. Previously I used CreateSpace but they have long-since been disbanded. CreateSpace did an excellent job for my previous 2 non-fiction books. I was lost without CreateSpace and read on a blog post to use Ebook Launch. My joke book relies on the visuals that go with the jokes. After paying 300 for a small, 73 page book I received a book with most of the visuals on the next page so the joke on the previous page makes no sense at all. The layout I sent was very obvious on how the pages should have looked.

The service was ok, but a bit confusing for a first-time author who also has other things to do. Different people are assigned different tasks: editing, copy, cover, formatting, etc. You pay for each service then must keep track of what you paid for and in what step in the process. Their canned emails have a LOT of great information to help navigate the process of self publishing, but it's overwhelming. After ordering my proof for about $5 from Amazon, I discovered formatting errors that had to be corrected. So if you do this, be prepared for several people to work on different steps and to send you a LOT of websites to read to self-learn the process. IF YOU GET JOHN TO HELP YOU, BEWARE. THIS GUY'S EMAILS TO ME WERE WRITTEN IN A CONDESCENDING, ARROGANT MANNER. He should NOT be in a customer-service job. He and the other team members did what I had asked, but he was sarcastic and arrogant. Self publishing is not easy. There are many details you have to figure out. He thinks we all should just know what they all are, or, know exactly what website to read or what email to refer to and research it ourselves. The others team members were GREAT. But I am super disgusted, frankly, with John.

The team was great. Professional, responsive, informative and they delivered a great product at a fair price. I dealt with John Low who knocked the cover off the ball with one swing of the bat..

I am "sold" and will be a returning customer.

1-Unlike so many in the space whose goal is to take your money and offer little in return or worse, expect you the customer to begin an apprenticeship in the mechanics of book formatting by wasting your time on a website that is usually confusing as heck and offers little if any value - the team at Ebooklaunch provided easy to understand guidelines ( for ex: as to file format they wanted me to provide), and stepped up where my shortfalls kicked in.
