I Only have 4000 Characters, FACTS: I am a Disabled Veteran that has been receiving my VA Benefits & I Thank the U.S. Government for Everything that they have Done!! Their Benefits for Citizens living Aboard, They have been PAYING Citibank to ACT as a Delivery Company. This Means the GOV. Contracted & has been Paying Citibank. I have been Living in Ghana since June, 2011, but didn't change my Direct Deposit until 2012 or 13, But as Explained by the F.B.U. at the London Embassy. Citibank being the Largest Bank in the World has JOINT A.C.H. Act. Example in 2015!! Citibank has Always Been Late By as Much as 6 weeks & out of these 2011 & the 1st PMT in 2012 or 13 only Less 5% of all around 200 Consecutive Months Have Been within the 1st & 7th of Every PMT!!! FACT. I Specifically Opened a Zenith Bank Act. ONLY for Zenith & Citibank maintained this Citibank & Zenith JOINT ACH Act!! From 2015 thru 2023 I Kept my Zenith Direct Deposit with the VA PMT!! But NOT (1) SINGLE Deposit was EVER Made & IN FACT!! Citibank has ENSURED that CITIBANK has NO CONNECTION, TIES or ANYTHING TO DO Between The U.S. GOV & Our Ghanaian Direct Deposit as REQUIRED!! I am SOLELY saying WHAT the CEO of UMB told me during our Many Talks about my MISSING PAYMENTS!!!

As I said above, the 7 to 8 years or 96 PMT NOT 1 was EVER Deposited into this Act. As I was told Required!! So, the Issue is My PMT are & Continuously are Missing AS NOW. So how did my U.S. Gov. pMT get into my Zenith Act! I didn't Bank with UMB, so How are they Getting my Money!! I found Out that there were 3 Banks That LAUNDERING these GOV. A.C.H. Trans. CITIBANK Sends our A.C.H. Trans by BULK SWIFT WIRE Trans. According to Every Banker & Lawyer The ONLY way to CONVERT an A.C.H. Into a SWIFT TRANS. Citibank MUST Illegally CASH TERMINATE & CLOSED the U.S. GOV. A.C.H. & this is WHY Citibank Has a PERFECT Record as VA that Pay on the 1st, On the 1st, Citibank Closes the Transaction & The Cancelled instrument to the Treasury's Closed PAID Files, Citibank Keeps & Uses ALL of NOT Only Just Eric Meredith's PMT, but all 160 PMT until Citibank Decides to RETURN OUR MONEY!! But HOW CAN CITIBANK Get Away With THIS MONEY!! This is WHAT MAKES THIS A PERFECT CRIME!! But Simply!! T.P. in U.S. Pays Me in Ghana a check of $100 Dollars. Joe is coming to Ghana & is Bringing my PMT!! So, Joe while in U.S. Forge Or Endorses the Check & Cashes it. Joe has my CASH, when Joe Arrives. Joe Gives me a new His Check & gives it to me or As Citibank. Joe Deposited his Check instead of T.P.!! But as VERIFIED by UMB's CEO Received these 50 to 60 Trans. That U.M.B. Cannot have any of these People Can't have an U.M.B.Act!! MUST BE an ARMS Length Trans. This was why 3 Conspirators Financial Banks. ECOBANK, U.M.B. & I don't know the 3rd!! So, as the CEO Explained he MUST ISSUE NEW A.C.H. Trans. With TOTALLY DIFFERENT Tracer Reference Numbers. Also, before this BULK SWIFT is Sent CITIBANK'S CASHED CLEARED VA on the 1st & SSA on the 4th. Citibank has COMPLETED & PAID Money for this JOB by FRAUD Using My MONEY & the Other people in Ghana or Over 1 Million People outside the U.S. & Aboard!! I am guessing, But, if 1 Million or More at $1,000 Dollars is Over 1 BILLION DOLLARS EVERY MONTH which the Daily Interest in the Swept Act. At 1 Billion Dollars is Over 1 Million Dollars Per Day FREE in these PERFECT FRAUD!!

Take My March's Payments REQUIRED to be PAID on the 1st April & SSA PMT that PAID on the 4th April, but Easter Weekend & MUST be PAID on the 2nd April, 2026!! Now According to the U.S. Government, I along the 160 Federal Beneficiaries living in Ghana & The World To GOV. Records has Been PAID IN FULL!! But out of my 4 Payments 1 Have NEVER EVER RECEIVED ANYTHING PERIOD in April, 2026 as of the 10th April, 2026!! So From 2013 thru what was the Month in 2016. I had to CALL The U.M.B. CEO to Enquiry about my MISSING PMT! It was after myself telling him that this is & EXCEEDS the Legal Definition of Money Laundering!! Citibank has ILLEGALLY Converted Our am Guessing 1 Billion Dollars every Month. That isn't Paid to us as REQUIRED, But the Only thing is to lend as an Interest FREE LOANS for Citibank, that is the ONLY Reason for Citibank to Lie ,& Cash our Payments & Clear over 10 Single Days!!! Why would Citibank FRAUDULENTLY FORGE GOV Doc. For FRAUD with the Intent of Financial GAINS for the CASHING of our PMT. For the 1st. But Still in the afternoon on the 10th April, 2026!! Unfortunately I needed some of our PMT. IN FACT Because of CITIBANK'S CRIMINAL ACTS OF FRAUD & FORGERY By FRAUDULENTLY REPORTED that Citibank has ILLEGALLY BORROWED OUR MONEY, It's Not our Responsibility to Finance Citibank's CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE By Definitions A group of 2 or more individuals involved in a Series of CRIMES!! Seasoned user of Ecobank now heavily disappointed with them

I have used ecobank Cameroon for over 10 years now (with support from the head office in Nigeria every now and then), and I have mixed feelings about the bank and the services provided. Initially I could vouch for Ecobank being the best bank in Africa to work with, with especially excellent customer service. I initially recommended this bank to my family and friends. However, in recent years, everyone I have receommended Ecobank to has come back with heavy complaints, especially about the customer service being very poor (with Yaounde, Cameroon, topping the charts with very poor customer services). They take too long for a simple act as opening a bank account. they are not transparent with the charges levied; they provide differing information about the options such as the need for a bank card (which is actually not necessary if you do more of online/mobile banking) and try to force options on clients which will be charged. There also seems to be limited knowledge of many of the bank's agents on actual banking protorols and procedures. Ecobank needs to place more emphasis on training on customer service and hire more competent bankers and service personnel, both in cameroon and Africa-wide. I am actually giving a two-star rating just in compensation for the past excellent services provided and for the one-off customer-friendly service agents I still come across.

One year ago I set up a bank account…

This is an African bank that Africa should be proud of. But one year ago I set up a bank account and I still do not have access to it. Ivy at customer service has apologized endlessly and promised to fix it but nothing. The level of incompetence is beyond my understanding

Don’t ignore the reviews

Don’t ignore the reviews. Trust me this is the worst bank i have ever seen, poor internet banking, poor customer service and nothing is guaranteed. You can make a transaction example buy airtime, the amount will be deducted from your account, you will not receive the airtime neither your money back. This happened to me multiple times and i never get back my funds, it’s like stealing to me and no matter how much i try contacting the bank I get no response.

Perte de temps, d’argent et de respect

Le 29/01/2026, je me suis rendu à l’agence Ecobank de Madiba vers 15h pour souscrire à une carte prépayée.
À l’accueil, j’ai été bien reçu par une agente courtoise et professionnelle, malgré l’affluence. Je tiens à le souligner.

Malheureusement, l’expérience s’est fortement dégradée ensuite. La personne présentée comme gestionnaire de comptes a fait preuve de dédain, de manque de considération et de professionnalisme, aussi bien envers moi qu’envers d’autres clients. Une information importante — l’existence possible d’une carte déjà active à mon nom — ne m’a été communiquée qu’après une longue attente, alors qu’elle aurait pu être donnée dès le départ avec une orientation claire sur la procédure à suivre. J’ai perdu beaucoup de temps inutilement.

À cela s’ajoute une très mauvaise expérience avec le service client téléphonique disponible 24h/24. Les appels sont facturés au client, pourtant les temps d’attente sont excessivement longs. J’ai dû appeler à plusieurs reprises, recharger mon crédit à plusieurs reprises (plusieurs centaines de FCFA consommés), avant d’obtenir une réponse après plus de 30 minutes d’attente. Cette situation est frustrante et inacceptable pour une banque de cette envergure.

Au final, cette expérience m’a fait perdre du temps, de l’argent et surtout la confiance que j’avais en Ecobank. J’espère sincèrement que ces dysfonctionnements seront corrigés pour améliorer la qualité du service offert aux clients.

Worse bank I've ever seen

Worse bank I've ever seen. I do not suggest this bank to anyone in the world. I wanted to close my bank account, and it is impossible to do if you are not physically in the country. Even from another Ecobank in another country. Worse bank I've seen in my life.

Friendly and useless

Friendly and useless. Its been six months since I opened and account and they still can't provide a way for me to see how much money I have in the account. They ask me to fill the same forms and then they do nothing. I give up

Very Disappointed with Ecobank’s Service

I made an international transfer from my Ecobank account to Discovery Bank in South Africa, which was rejected — yet the funds have not been returned. Despite several attempts to get help through Ecobank’s customer service, I’ve received no proper response.

Their support is extremely slow, and both the mobile and internet banking platforms are difficult to use. It’s frustrating and disappointing, especially for a business account. I’m seriously considering closing my account altogether.

I hope Ecobank treats this issue with the urgency it deserves and improves their customer service — no client should have to struggle this much to get their own money back.

Ecobank Nigeria are criminals

Ecobank Nigeria are criminals! Their charges are extortionate.

I had 402,000 naira in my account and tried to transfer 400,000 to another eco bank account in Nigeria and they told me I had insufficient funds.

In the end I was only able to transfer 391k meaning these rogues charged 11k in charges.

They have been doing this for months and I will be reporting them to con, efcc, Cac, and every other agency I can think of.

Good customer service

I visited Dansoman Ecobank branch today and a representative lady named Kukua really assisted me and decided to give a review for her time and patience not every bank with large customers are able to assist you with care, time and patience i hope she is been awarded for her good attitude towards work.

Banque que je fréquente depuis 2006.
Et en 2008 j'avais acheté des actions d'une valeur de 600.000 CFA. Aujourd'hui on me dit que mes dividendes s'élèvent à 4500 CFA. Cette banque était en faillite et nous clients avons redresser la barre grâce à l'argent qu'on avait investi en achetant ces actions. Une vraie arnaque cette banque. Quelle honte.

I’ve been to Ecobank Bonamoussadi and the experience was so bad!! A certain lady who seems to be an intern was so rude and dismissive. Felt like they attended to people they’re familiar with

I’ve been to Ecobank Bonamoussadi several times and I must say the experience was terrible. Most of the staffs are very rude and unwelcoming. The waiting time was so so long and exhausting. Cameroon is bilingual yet no one could communicate with me in English or even help solve my issue. I stood up for so long my feet hurt. Honestly worst banking experience ever!!!!

APPALLING EXPERIENCES WITH ECOBANK

My experiences with ecobank in Accra Ghana have been just APPALLING. Its too complex to discuss here but I would strongly advise anyone who is considering taking out an account with this bank not too. I have been trying to make international transfers to this bank for over 6 years. Rarely does the money get deposited into the beneficiaries account. No one ever answers emails. Despite having spoken to the manager the many issues continue. The beneficiary lives 45 minutes from the bank all up that is nearly an hour and half travelling by public transport and walking. He often has to travel back and forth back and forth to the bank due to the fact that they are so incompetent and seem so unwilling to help and it seems neither do they care especially the manager who comes across as indifferent and extremely unprofessional. Its beyond me that this bank is still operating. I so wish I had have come to this site first and checked the reviews. This bank, its manager and employees should be ashamed of themselves the non existing service is disgusting and this is very evident in the TERRIBLE RATINGS AND REVIEWS ECOBANK HAS RECIEVED. I would rate this bank way below 0.

Worst banking experience ever

Worst banking experience ever! Have now been a customer for over 12 months. Initial sign up was a horrific experience and has just gone downhill from there! App cant do international swift transactions, internet platform "omni plus" works like it is from 1980 with multiple levels of approvals for own transactions. Using system to transact internationally is a nightmare. Phone help staff dont even know their own systems and how they work. Avoid this train wreck of an organisation at all costs!

Déception totale du service à Ecobank du Stade de l’amitié

Je n’ai jamais vu des personnes aussi compliquées et incompréhensives. Vous nous faites remplir des documents concernants les services qui nous intéresse lors de l’ouverture du compte. Et il faut revenir apres des semaines pour faire une demande pour ce que service pour lequel on avait rempli les dossiers. Et il faut revenir encore vous supplier pour avoir la carte de guichet pour retirer notre propre argent. J’ai demandé une permission au boulot je suis revenue. On me dit carrément que le service ne fonctionne pas. De prendre le contact d’un agent de la banque et de gérer avec lui et il va m’aider à avoir la carte dans mon service. J’ai attendu le signe de l’agent mais rien. Finalement je le contact il me dit carrément d’aller à l’agent de Gbedjromede ou à Agontinkon que c’est là-bas que je peux avoir les cartes. Et ça se passe avec l’agence de Ecobank au niveau du terrain. Si ce n’était pas mon service qui ma obligé à ouvrir mon compte à Ecobank, je ne l’aurais jamais fait. Et je ne recommande à personne cette banque.
