An all round great experience at Edit Suits. I am not very knowledgable about this subject, but the whole team made me feel relaxed, welcome and I left with a great custom fitted/designed shirt. Would highly recommend.

I recently needed to buy a bespoke suit for a special occasion - but the days when I was in the Royal Navy and I automatically used my naval tailors have, sadly, passed - primarily on the basis of cost: a made to measure suit today is astronomical! Plus, as I've aged, I'm become a larger lad with bulges where I didn't use to have them and while there are some off the peg clothes I can find, a high quality, perfectly fitting suit is not one of them.

A search online came up with Edit Suits - who I first checked out in a few reviews, then by having a look (actually, I looked in the window and through the door) at their South Molton Street store and, finally, by plucking up the courage to book an appointment.

This went well with my being met by an assistant who knew what he was talking about. A material was selected, lots of measurements were taken and I parted with my cash, with a slight gulp as I was taking a bit of a plunge into the unknown - although, by Saville Row rates, this was a relatively modest amount.

Several weeks passed before I was informed by email that my suit was reading to try on (and, if necessary, for any adjustments to be made). Another appointment was made and ... it was fabulous: just as I'd wished for, beautifully cut and finished and a perfect fit with absolutely no adjustments necessary.

My old naval tailors were very much an institution and, whenever I visit Portsmouth, I miss their shop on The Hard, now long disappeared. They still have their premium location in Saville Row ... but I now have Edit Suits instead. For quality, efficiency, courtesy and, above all, a marvellous product at a very acceptable price, they now have my business. They should also have a think, even if they lack (yet) centuries of tradition, of moving into bespoke tailoring for the military too.

In summary - if you want bespoke tailoring at a sensible price then do, please, try Edit Suits. I'm very glad that I did.

I had a great experience buying a suit from Edit Suits for my sister's wedding. On my first visit to the Bond Street store, Karolina was very friendly and helpful in explaining the process, assisting me in choosing fabrics, advising on fit and style, and measuring me up. The subsequent fitting with Brad at the same store was equally friendly and efficient; only a few tweaks and adjustments were required to the length of the trousers and the jacket arms. Collecting the suit a few weeks later was just as quick and easy. The team are all aware that buying a tailor-made suit - especially for an event like a wedding - is an important decision and not an every-day purchase for most customers, so I was grateful for all the team's expertise, advice and professionalism. I am extremely pleased with the quality and tailoring of the suit itself; it fits perfectly, looks great, and I was so comfortable wearing it at the wedding last weekend. Overall, an excellent experience.

I used the Manchester store for my and my best man's wedding suits. Throughout we dealt with Joline, who is truly brilliant and nothing was too much effort for her. With her guidance and support, we go the perfect suits for the wedding. When there was a delay in getting the material, Joliene kept m fully updated along the way and made sure it arrived in time. The suit was brilliant, and I couldn't have asked for better service. I wanted some adjustments after it arrived, but again, no bother Jolene was on hand to offer her advice and to get them turned around in no time. As someone who has purchased tailored suits previously, I think Edit's quality and service are exceptional and the value for money is second to none. I have no hesitation in providing a 5* review for Edit.

Wayne was fantastic. Even when I was happy with the fit he was not and his attention to detail was immense. He made the whole process so rich and comfortable. He seen time with us and guided us with military precision. I cannot recommend him enough!

For years I have bought my suits from good quality high street designer outlets but always fancied a more personalised service from simple alterations.
I decided to explore Edit suits and booked in for a fitting. The process was really easy and meant that I spent about an hour with a well trained member of staff (Svitlana) in the Birmingham outlet. She took the time to talk me through my options based on what I wanted, and showed me the wide range of fabrics on offer. She took all of my measurements and the suit was ordered. About six weeks later I returned to find an excellent suit Which apart from a few finishing alterations was a perfect fit. The level of service and the whole experience was excellent, and I will return for other suits, trousers and shirts now that my measurements are on my account record. I highly recommend this experience.

Good experience BUT let down in the final analysis so I did not get my suit.

On arrival at the first sitting, I was welcomed by the manager, Jack, who discussed styles and materials and ran through the myriad of trimmings (buttons, buttonholes, linings etc., etc.). Believe it or not, that process took an hour! So there was no time for the first measurement.

I returned to meet Svitlana a few weeks later for my first series of measurements and it went well, but I think I could have been better advised regarding the fit of the trousers (more of that later). I was given a series of jackets and trousers that were pinned and photographed and measured. All very 21st century.

Surprisingly, 10 days later (I expected it to take 5 weeks) I was invited back for my first fitting. I was thrilled with the look of the suit on the hanger. My choices looked fabulous, and my wife (who had not been with me for the first visit) was very complementary. Things were looking good. Then I tried the trousers on and we ran into our first problem. From the waist to the knees everything was fine BUT the calfs were skin tight, and I am 61 years old! I am not looking to release my inner Rod Stewart. Svitlana agreed, and asked me to try on the jacket. That was also too tight and almost failed to button up! In both cases, Svitlana said that they could adjust the Jacket and the Trousers to rectify the issue, so I left happy in the knowledge that my £1k was in safe hands.

I returned 10 days later, excited to try on my suit (for my son's wedding). I tried on the jacket first and it fitted, though it was a 'close' fit for a gentlemen of my years!

Then I tried on the trousers and, if anything, they seemed tighter than the last time! DISASTER. To be fair Svitlana agreed but she also agreed that there was little they could do to alter them and a new pair would take too long to make for the wedding date.

All credit to Edit Suits, Jack (on holiday), reviewed the photos from the fitting and the measurements and the fittings and agreed that I should have a full refund which he authorised on the same day (since received).

Lessons learned:

Edit Suits provide an excellent service
Fabulous cloths for younger frames
Not for older/larger gentlemen needing a relaxed cut

A fantastic service & experience from start to finish. I wanted something special for my wedding day and never having purchased a bespoke suit before I was a little apprehensive to begin with it but I need not have been. The choice of fabrics, colours, attention to detail ( who knew there were so many measurements to take) is simply first class. The service provided by both Emily & Wayne was impeccable.
If you’re looking for a bespoke suit I can’t recommend Edit Suits highly enough.
