EF doesn’t care about customers

Wore an Eileen Fisher blue raincoat in rain only to find blue stain had transferred onto beige hoodie.EF rep said they don’t sell “raincoats” . I said then there should be a notice of color transfer like you find on denim. They clearly don’t care about customer experience since most of my wardrobe had become EF. Now I have a raincoat not to be worn in the rain and a damaged expensive hoodie.

Eileen Fisher Flatiron District

I have tried avoiding the Flatiron Eileen Fisher location for years. They seem to hire the most unhappy and unfriendly staff. My experience over the years is that they treat customer requests as if they are doing you a favor by doing their jobs. Friendly sales people do not seem to last long there. I suggest going to the Columbus Circle store for a somewhat better shopping experience.

I purchased a pair of the ponte pants (my third pair) and after two weeks the waist band is coming apart. I called the extremely unhelpful and rude customer service who told me because I had sent them to the cleaners today they couldn't takes them back. Unbelievable. I have been a customer over 20 years. This is unreal. l guess I will look for a new company.

I was a long time EF customer but I…

I was a long time EF customer but I must say their online customer service has really deteriorated. In the latest fiasco, I ordered two day delivery, the items were never delivered because their shipper damaged the items. I am STILL WAITING on reimbursement from EF. I called CS and find out their WAREHOUSE has to handle this reimbursement and who knows when it will be issued. The agent said "that's the way they do things." Sheesh!

UPDATE 3/23/26. EF FINALLY refunded me but by their own calculations, they shorted me by $20.00. BUYER BEWARE when it comes to online EF.
UPDATE 3/30/2026: EF refunded the amount due me. Good for me and them.

Beautiful Clothing

I've been shopping at Eileen Fisher, online, for years (about 10 years). First shipping to CA and now shipping to Europe. I've never had a problem and the clothing is beautiful. They have the best fitting and comfortable trousers that I've ever owned & beautiful silk/linen blouses. I always have good shipping experiences. It takes 1-2 weeks to Europe but well worth it.

Money stolen

I ordered a shirt, paid for it, and waited to get a confirmation email. Instead, they TOOK my money and told me the shirt was “in process’.
Then? Crickets. They took my money and that was it.
I am now fighting to cancel the order and get my money back.
Their responses drip with arrogance.

Poor customer service and item quality

I purchased an expensive pair of sleep pants from Eileen Fisher in October. I wore them twice and washed them very carefully according to directions. After the second time I wore them in December, the waistband seam came undone. I contacted Eileen Fisher and they said to return the pants AT MY EXPENSE because they were more than 30 days from purchase. They indicated they would send me a gift card only for the purchase price not the shipping, after they inspected the pants. I do not think I should have to pay the shipping when a $98 pair of sleep pants come apart after being worn twice.

Terrible Customer Service and Website Information

I bought a pair of shoes in the sale. Although on the website the prices were in pound sterling, when the shoes turned up they were American sizes and too small for me. This was not made clear when I ordered them. I then had to pay £15 for the privilege of finding this out. When I wrote a review I was asked to contact customer services, which I did - only to be told that it was £5 for postage and £10 to return it (not sure how that works). Appalling customer service and website information.

Bad online shopping experience

I love their clothes. But I tried to buy from Eileen Fisher some clothes for my mom and needed them to deliver to a Po Box. They cancelled twice the order and after many emails and phone calls, they finally told me they don´t deliver to a Po Box. Since this is my only option I cant purchase their product. I might have to order from a department store. Eileen Fisher is the only store I have problems delivering to my Po Box, I guess they are not up to date in online shopping

I love the timeless classics

I love the timeless classics , comfort , fashion forward styles Eileen Fisher introduces every season . I usually buy from Bloomingdale’s , Neiman or Nordstrom .
I am a size Small in pants and a Meduim in tops .
I have so many pants & tops from EF , and get so many compliments everytime I wear them .They are the go to outfits in my closet
.
I purchased 2 Co Ordinated sets and can’t wait to use it for my Vacay .
Susie from customer service promptly got my info straightened out . Thank you . 🙏

Don't get me wrong

Don't get me wrong. The clothes are really timeless and there are some real beauties in the mix. However..for everyone living on the West Coast (i.e. me, Los Angeles) please please be aware if those pants don't fit or you don't like the color of something and need to return? Be prepared to wait up to 4 weeks for a return. No kidding.
They have partnered with the USPS which is fine but there is some other shipping service where it goes to a main warehouse outside of the USPS department (it's hard to explain but you can't even file a claim for any issues when you are shipping back to this particular return address) so just know you have to wait and wait and wait.
Always very frustrating when your money leaves you instantly but getting it back is worse than pulling teeth. :(
Makes me extremely hesitant to purchase items in the future that I'm unfamiliar with considering that there have been some inconsistencies in sizing as of late (or so I read).
Update: In furthering this review, I had to post a negative review on social media about this but once they FINALLY received my return....it was weeks and still no refund! Once I complained on social media for all to see, the refund was issued by end of day.
So scammy. So ick.
I'm going to stick with my t-shirts and call it a day. Not worth my time or effort.

Dramatic decline in quality, no customer service response.

For the longest time EF was my first go-to for an investment piece that I knew would look good and last. The last 4 or 5 items I’ve bought have either fallen apart at hems or waistband, or gotten a hole in the front of the shirt, on the first wearing. I’ve written several times and get NO response. I have 25 year old sweaters from Target or Victoria’s Secret that cost a tiny fraction and still hold together. Really disappointing.

Disappointed Long time EF Customer

Long time EF customer. For 18 years I have not lived close to a store and so have ordered online with good results. NOW sizes are inconsistent, fabrics often seem flimsy and customer service (usually excellent) is barely existent. Phone calls often not returned, argumentative instead of helpful. Will likely not order again.

I went online to buy EF items on sale…Scam?

I went online to buy EF items on sale yesterday,Jan. 3, 2025. I sent in my Credit card info. and completed the order. I never got confirmation. I wonder if the $19.95 sale was a scam? I would be careful if ordering online from Eileen Fisher. If it was Eileen Fisher-- when I called the company rep. is not moving forward to alert people. But you cannot order online today, so they know. Shame on EF for not making this public. I will never buy another EF item!

I placed an order with Eileen Fisher…

I placed an order with Eileen Fisher early November. I have never received it ! When checking with the company it says " not shipped" or " handed over to carrier logistics info updated soon. I have no way to contact them. My favorite designer is becoming unreliable !!! I'm so disappointed !

I never received my order

I never received my order, though it said it was delivered to my house. Ordered product in the middle of June. I've reached out to the email address that is listed in the email for replies several times, and have had no answer. After I reached out the second time, suddenly it was shipped and had been delivered? No way to place a complaint or request a refund. No photos of it being delivered to my house. I'm pretty sure this is a scam.
