Ekko were advertising a house in Basildon, explained my situation and how important it was that I needed to move asap. Pretended they sympathised with my situation, appeared to go out of their way to help me, even giving me a date when they’d drop the keys to me. Then suddenly hardly any communication for 2 weeks, landlord apparently told them he was selling the house..they told me this in a message and said they’d call but never heard from them after that..only to find the house back up for rent for even more money! Building someone’s hopes up like that when they’re desperate for something, only to cut off all communication after dropping the bombshell over text…extremely unprofessional and seems like I’ve had a lucky escape!

I had Ekko London managing my property letting with guaranteed rent, however I must say their services were disappointing. It took over a year to get my property back in order for me to sell, as they were unable to get existing tenants out despite I had given notice in the early 2024. Furthermore, I’ve found some of my valuable furnitures such as leather sofas and wooden tables being missing without any notices, and their tenants left their furnitures which Ekko didn’t do proper management to displace. Since I am an overseas based landlord, I’ve attempted multiple emails to ask for inventory checks yet they never got back to me. I honestly have no clue why they have been so unprofessional. I’m not asking for the locations of missing furnitures any more, but simply would like to ask them to remove those furnitures that do not belong to me as an agent. At this moment, I’d hoped they would’ve acted at the service level they should be by addressing those issues at least rather than completely ignoring me.

I’ve had the pleasure of being hosted by Mazhar and the team at Ekko London in two different properties and the experience has been fantastic. The prices are always competitive and Mazhar has been incredibly responsive to any inquiries or requests I’ve made, whether it’s about furniture or cleaning in communal areas etc. He consistently meets my expectations and the communication has been seamless throughout. It’s clear the Ekko London team truly values their tenants. If I need housing services again in the future, they will be my go-to choice. Highly recommend!

I've reached out to Ekko London regarding their availability of their properties on SpareRoom. They read my messages and refused to answer them. This has been my experience for 2 separate properties now. This is extremely poor. Not sure why you are advertising on SpareRoom, but don't want to answer any simple questions from prospective tenants. If I ask if the room still available (as sometimes agents forget to take ads for rooms down), a simple yes, will you like to view it?/no, it's not, will suffice.

3 Years and 6 Properties later, Zayne and his team are still my first choice for managing my portfolio! All promises made have been kept and my expectations have been exceeded. They are not your typical 'estate agents' and offer a very approachable and flexible service, you're never speaking to someone that doesn't know you or your property and that is worth its weight in gold to us!
