I had breast surgery with Transform using this hospital. I had previously used these facilities in the past. The hospital is immaculate and provides an amazing service. All the staff are extremely professional and helpful. I was very greatful to the compassionate support of a nurse called John, who dealt with me following a delayed previous surgery.

Had breast reduction surgery yesterday, every single nurse, anaesthetist and the surgeon were amazing. Very friendly and calming when I was feeling a little anxious.
Once I came round and was back in my room I was given some lovely food which I had chosen prior to the surgery and constant coffee and biscuits and regular check ins by the nurses to see if I was ok/wanted anything.
Would strongly recommend, such a lovely place and lovely people, thank you

I recently underwent a breast implant removal and uplift procedure at Elective in Birmingham.
While the surgical aspect of my experience was largely positive, there were significant issues with post-operative care and communication that impacted my overall satisfaction.
On the day of the consultation appointment, I received multiple text messages changing the appointment time several times. This caused significant confusion and inconvenience, making it difficult to manage my schedule and plan my visit accordingly.
I understand that unforeseen circumstances may sometimes lead to changes, but such last-minute and repeated alterations, especially on the day of the appointment, are disruptive and concerning. Regardless of this the pre-operative process was smooth — my consultation with the surgeon was thorough and reassuring.
A couple of days prior to my scheduled admission date, I received a call informing me that my nasal swab had tested positive for MRSA, which meant that my operation had to be cancelled and rescheduled.
While I completely understand that this was no one’s fault, the process that followed was frustrating and poorly managed. I found myself going back and forth between my GP and the hospital, trying to get someone to arrange the necessary treatment—something I believe should have been coordinated by the hospital, especially given that I was a private patient.
I want to acknowledge Juliet Virdee, who was absolutely fantastic and ultimately took the initiative to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, my assigned patient adviser at the time, Hannah Tudsbury, offered very little communication and provided poor service during what was already a stressful situation.
Following the cancellation, I then had to rearrange my work schedule, take additional annual leave, and make new childcare provisions—all of which required careful planning and added pressure. The lack of clear and timely communication from Hannah made this period even more stressful.
As I had already paid for the surgery in full, I felt I had no option but to continue with the process, despite how disorganised and frustrating the situation had become. Had I not already been financially committed, I would have seriously considered withdrawing due to the poor coordination and support I experienced.
On the day of surgery, the team was professional and supportive, and I felt confident in the care I received during the procedure itself. The surgical results have been good, and I’m happy with the physical outcome.
However, problems began shortly after the surgery. There was a noticeable lack of communication and consistency among the nursing staff. I was given conflicting clinical advice by different nurses during my recovery, which left me uncertain about the correct care protocol and increased my anxiety during a crucial healing period.
Further compounding this, my three-month post-operative check-up with the surgeon — originally scheduled for 19th April — was cancelled just two weeks before the appointment. When I contacted administration, I was told that no other consultations were scheduled at that time, but I would be added to a waiting list. It’s now been several months, and I still haven’t received any updates or correspondence about a rescheduled appointment with my surgeon.
While I’m pleased with the surgical outcome, the lack of continuity in care and poor post-op communication have left me feeling let down.
I decided to travel to Elective for a second time, due to the care and service I received on my first operation was outstanding. However this operation the service has been the complete opposite. Considering the amount of money and time I have spent to travel to this hospital, I would not recommended this service here to any family and friends in the future.
Elective offers skilled surgical expertise, but they urgently need to improve coordination between clinical and administrative teams, especially when it comes to aftercare and follow-up.

Whent here for a RYGB Staff was amazing and so helpful room was clean and tidy i would have given 5 stars but the time i spent there felt like to little of a time to heal before leaving and was told could be collected at 09:30am then for the nurse to come in my room and tell me i needed to leave room at 08:30 wich ment I have to wait around for 1 hour for my partner to collect me. Sadly there is no we're for patients to go even do the nurse staff tell you walking helps after an operation

I wouldn’t even give this 1 star. Very keen in taking you money, then they do not care! Originally surgery in 2024. I believe this was under transform, they werenot honest that the transform group were in administration and any procedures that went wrong would technically not be covered… my surgeon 3 weeks after my surgery had left,,, (surely at the time they would of known this) after care was shocking and spent days chasing appointments and tried to get another surgeon to look into my issues, but I felt like a pest and all I got back was basically they don’t have to but they will… on the rare time they actually got back to me. After spending MONTHS and I mean months of getting an appointment my new consultant said my ideal time for revision WOULD be April time and to ring middle of march to book the surgery for APRIL. It took me 6 weeks of ringing daily and being fobbed of with different excuses depending who I spoke too. I finally had an appointment for (tomorrow) June 9th. During this time I also made a complaint due to lack of communication and poor after care. I have just called to see what Time I need to be in tomorrow and they have stated ur not booked in tomorrow it’s August, despite having my pre op appointment a few weeks ago and my confirmation email clearly stating 9th June. No communication what so ever that the appointment was to be changed and I had to call them the day before. DISGUSTING after already complained of lack of communication . I have booked 4 weeks of work in June.. unpaid to allow to recover. Which I can’t not change. I have plans in August and start a new job. My children off school in August and no childcare if I am recovering, I plan to run a marathon in December, I am moving house in September all planned around my surgery date in June to allow appropriate time to recover. Which was booked 2 months ago. They are also going against the consultants advice that the best time for the procedure would of been April and they now are proposing 5 months later. Absolutely disgusting to be told that my surgery will not be taking place by myself having to call less than 24 hours before to check my arrival time. I now await probably a very long with my self ringing to find out when I can go in ASAP. With no direct point of contact other than ‘revisions team’ which have been useless and various peeople, They also don’t have a direct number for this only email, and they just do not answer them, sometimes going a full week with out a reply. This company were not honest from the start and they just wanted to take your money and get your custom. This has now caused huge anxiety. If anyone wishes to see the lack of communications and emails ignored then please let me know, I never in my life have written a single review. But this company deserves it. I will now be putting in another complaint but I have no hope that the complaints team will deal with this issue sufficiently and get my booked in asap. I will be seeking legal advice as they have breached there contract, for loss of earnings and emotionally distress. if this is not sorted tomorrow with a new appointment over the next week or so. The only good thing I can say is my second consultant DR Simmons has been good and understanding my original doctor awful hence needing revision, but it seems mr Simmons is behind the scenes and working with the most unorganised company whilst I appreciate the difficult of changing ownership/ management. They have not attempted what so ever to even make it as smooth as possible or be honest, a phone call with notice to say they have had to rearrange.., and not even that!!! Now I face more drama and stress of Constantly calling for a new date causing further distress and 4 weeks unpaid of work. The excuse for not going ahead tomorrow… is mr Simmons is not in…. Should of been contacted when they know mr Simmons was not going to be in! Am sure tomorrow I will hear another BS excuse, the reason is lack of communication . UPDATE- 3 weeks later numerous phone calls by my self chasing and no update. Had an appointment and the surgeon suggested using tape.. can’t go from being scheduled in for a full tummy tuck vs being advised to use tape. Can not get hold of anyone to give me answers/ organise an new appointment. Phone not being answered.

I had my gastric sleeve done with Electiva via the NHS and the care I received was second to none.
Every single member of staff was friendly and so helpful.
The rooms are lovely and clean, call bells are answered straight away and everyone is happy to help.
Beverly was fantastic at my pre-op and the day after my surgery, she helped me get over my fear of injecting myself so I could go home without the worry of not being able to administer my injections.
The doctors was fab, all very friendly and helped to put me at ease before my op. Mr Almerie is so nice and really helped to calm my nerves and fears, and the surgery was a doddle in the end.
I couldn’t have asked for a better surgical experience.

When my daughter booked her breast implant and uplift surgery, she wasn’t originally going to Pines hospital. Her surgeon moved, and although I was hesitant and honestly quite unhappy about the change, it turned out to be the best decision made. The care she received was nothing short of exceptional. I genuinely don’t believe it could be matched anywhere else.
From the moment we arrived, we were both treated with compassion, respect, and professionalism. Every single member of staff from reception to the patient advisor, nursing team, anaesthetist, and surgeon was incredible. I honestly can’t single anyone out, because the whole team upheld the same high standard of care throughout.
The anaesthetist took the time to introduce himself, thoroughly checked all information, and made sure we both felt at ease. After surgery, he personally came to check on my daughter, which meant a lot.
The surgeon is an absolute perfectionist. He took his time during the procedure to ensure the best possible result and then personally phoned me afterwards to let me know how it had gone, how she was doing, and how long it would be before I could see her in her room. That level of personal care and communication is so rare and so appreciated.
My daughter stayed overnight and wasn’t feeling her best the next day. Despite that, nobody rushed her or made her feel like a burden. The staff continued to check on her regularly, and they even looked after me too offering refreshments and ensuring I felt welcome and supported throughout the day.
What makes all of this even more remarkable is that I had the exact same procedure myself nine years ago (at a different hospital) and I didn’t receive anywhere near the same level of care, professionalism, or attention to detail. The difference in experience is like night and day and I’m so grateful my daughter had the benefit of this incredible team.
As a parent, knowing your child is opting for cosmetic surgery (even though she’s actually 22yrs old) is never easy, but I truly felt she was in the safest hands. We will both be forever thankful.

Had surgery here on 27th April and from arrival the nurses who looked after me before and after were fantastic ,very friendly and professional and made me feel at ease ,big shout out to the young lady who made me countless cups of tea after surgery aswell ,they were well needed and appreciated ,thankyou so much ladies

Hospital immaculate. Every member of staff encountered were polite, friendly, helpful, professional and efficient while also being caring. All aspects of care attended to and nothing was too much bother. Surgeon was fantastic, reassuring and honest. The best experience possible.

I arrived on the day of my surgery and only waited 5 minutes to be taken to my accommodation on the ward I would be staying on for 2 nights.
All The staff were very polite and friendly . I was informed that my surgery would be taking place at a specific time and my mind was put at ease . A very kind and caring nurse escorted me to the theatre room . after the surgery everyone on the ward made my stay as comfortable as possible.
For anyone wishing to go through bariatric surgery then you will be in good hands staying at a electiva hospital , and will be cared for by the most amazing and friendly nurses and doctors you could possibly wish for .
I am very happy I stayed at the electiva pines hospital and have no regrets or complaints during the time I stayed there .
I would like to thank everyone who works on the ward where I stayed , I’m very grateful to you all.

The nursing team were all so caring, very conscientious and friendly.
The facilities are immaculate with the whole team being very professional.
I did look at other companies/facilities which now on reflection are no where near to offering a safe, professional experience. If you are looking at having any form of surgery, make sure there is more than adequate aftercare in place & overnight facilities. Don’t be lulled into considering cheaper options that haven’t got correct aftercare in place

Aftercare from my surgery has been excellent. I couldn’t recommend electiva/transform enough. Nurse Olivia Harris in Manchester the pines has gone over and above to look after me. Kind, thoughtful and reassuring. An excellent ambassador for the company. My care with her would definitely help me recommend the company to others.
