Artisanship with Purpose: Ethical Artisan Goods from Mexico Esperanza Viva is a Canadian-based social enterprise dedicated to bringing high-quality, handmade Mexican craftsmanship to the global market. We specialize in premium leather goods, silver jewelry, and pet supplies sourced directly from master artisans across Mexico. Operating as a Business as Mission (BAM) project, we bridge the gap between ethical commerce and community development. A generous portion of all profits is reinvested directly into Mexico to support local feeding kitchens and poverty relief initiatives in underserved communities. When you shop with Esperanza Viva, you are investing in "Artisanship with Purpose"—supporting fair-trade practices while providing critical resources for those in need. Our collection features full-grain leather products, chosen for their durability and natural character, alongside authentic .925 sterling silver. By maintaining direct relationships with skilled workshops throughout Mexico, we ensure every item meets rigorous quality standards before it reaches your door. Based in British Columbia, we combine the reliability of a Canadian business with the vibrant heart of Mexican culture. Our mission is to transform everyday commerce into a powerful tool for lasting social change, ensuring that every purchase honors the artisan’s skill and provides a sustainable future for their family and community.

i was very happy with the quality and the selection. very nice pieces. i was easy to find what i wanted. i’m a detail oriented person. i found the clasps, slip straps, mag straps to be particularly well made, not just some chinese junk that is so common now. heirloom quality craftsmanship. thanks!

I love this purse. The craftsmanship is beautiful and you can immediately tell it’s made with high-quality materials. The full-grain leather feels durable yet elegant, and the simple design goes with almost any outfit. The lace agate stone on the clasp is a stunning detail that makes it feel truly unique and beautiful. I’m very happy with this purchase and would absolutely buy another.
