The selection & price of the coffee is amazing. Delivery is slow but that is down to DHL. I also received a free 250grms of coffee beans with my order which I was not expecting.

Vacuum seals removed
I ordered 4 different 1kg bags of coffee beans. They were delivered fairly promptly but, unfortunately, the vacuum seals on all 4 were removed. Thus compromising their shelf life. Probably, won't order again.

We are very sorry that the packaging caused confusion and that you were concerned about the freshness of your coffee.
The kilo bags have a special valve that allows the beans to continue to gasify. This valve allows the roasting gases to escape from the bag, but prevents outside air from entering, ensuring maximum freshness. If the coffee were very fresh and there were no valve, the bags could burst due to the pressure build-up. It is quite normal for some beans to release more gas than others, which can cause the bags to swell.
In addition, our shipping department usually presses the air out of the bags to facilitate packaging and minimize transport damage.
We understand your concerns and would like to reassure you that this does not affect the quality of your coffee. However, if you do encounter any problems with the product, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@espresso-international.co.uk—we will be happy to help.
