Ether Botanical is a Miami-based supplier of Mimosa hostilis root bark (MHRB), a traditional natural dye material prized for the deep purples, reds, and earthy browns it produces on cotton, wool, linen, and leather. We sell to fiber artists, natural dyers, leatherworkers, soap and cosmetic makers, and small studios across the United States. We source our bark directly from established growers, import it through a licensed U.S. importer, and process it in-house. We offer it in four forms for different projects: whole bark for slow extractions, shredded for everyday dye baths, powdered for faster, more even color release, and ultrafine for the richest pigmentation per gram. Sizes run from 250 grams for a first project up to multi-kilogram quantities for studios and resellers, with pricing that scales down as quantity goes up. Ether Botanical is founder-run, which means the same person answers the phone, grinds, packs, and ships your order. Orders typically ship the next business day with tracking, and most arrive within a few days. If you have questions about mesh size, extraction, or which form suits your project, call or email and you'll get a real answer. Every product is sold strictly for dye, tanning, and cosmetic use and is clearly labeled not for human consumption. Colors from Another World
Ordered for the first time from Ether Botanical after doing some research. There are several vendors, but for whatever reason I kept looking at their site. First order was for 500 grams of shredded MHRB. Shipped next day and delivered in like four I believe. The consistency is nice! Very thorough and not at all clumpy. Knowing it was a good source, I opted to call the company and discuss some options. I decided to give their powder a go at the scaling rate for 1 kg as it’s a much better buy for better pigmentation. We’ll see how my shirts turn out, but I will say the colors from the shredded were even out of this world… excited to see what the powder provides.
Sebastian was eager to provide service above and beyond as I returned within a week to discuss what options were most viable for my needs. While it wasn’t readily available, he actually knew what I was wanting to know when I asked about the differences in mesh size/microns as well as providing a COA when available (he’s currently awaiting it). He even offered to text me a discount code in the future as it’s something new they are working on. He even picked up on a Saturday… doesn’t get much better than that. Needless to say, unless something goes completely awry, I’ll be back. They may need to look into subscription status by the next order.

I ordered powdered root bark from this seller. They went above and beyond to fill the order even after unexpected fees they were charged. I even offered to receive less MHRB then I ordered to offset the cost. Seller sent the full amount. And the amount of “soap” it produced, was higher than average. Do not hesitate to order from this site. You will be happy!
