EWR is a Big trap-No recommendations for recruits!

This organization would entice you to work for them even if you had not applied directly. They’ll call you out of the blue and engage you, especially if you just came into UK newly and needed to work desperately.
They’ll give few shifts at a time in your location. Then they’ll stop posting you to schools in your town or city, but those far away so you could be stressed and they’ll give you a call at the die minutes for example call you at 8:30 am to resume work at a new place many miles away at 9 am. They’ll even call you to do 4 hours shift at a far distance with a promise to add to your hourly wage or cover for the hours missed. But once you cover the shift they’ll pay at the normal rate for only the time worked. If you asked them questions they’ll always ignore your message and emails-very unprofessional and no transparency and trust. Then most times in a month or two you may hardly get a shift-and you have bills to pay. Then you’ll start applying elsewhere.

The admin staff at EWR are not sincere with recommendation requests. When you request them for a recommendation or the organization that you applied to ask them for a recommendation they’ll ignore all emails without any response. When they’re called on phone they’ll promise to treat the request within a week but would never do. Then you call them again and the circle continues. They don’t want you to go elsewhere to work even though they have no shift for you to cover most times. So don't expect recommendations from EWR. And in UK if your recent employer dont give recommendations it’s difficult to move elsewhere. So you’re trapped with them except you decide to quit and start something on your own.

EWR is an organization that could trap you if you’re not careful you’ll learn on the long run how they operate.

Avoid At All Costs

Firstly the recruitment process is very quick and simple and is all online which is the only benefit of this agency. And the shifts are very flexible. I didn’t actually start working till over a month after joining the team and the only reason they did is because I kept bombarding them with messages. They give barely any notice of shifts with some calling 30 minutes before you are due in. Majority shifts are not predetermined and you are expected to be ready every day at 7am to some days not even called in. I had to harass multiple of the employers just to get some shifts. The availability feature on Parim is useless as they just put you on whatever shifts they feel like regardless of your availability then get very rude when you choose to cancel. The pay is extremely low especially that they make you travel very far for work. The staff members are very rude and don’t respect your wishes especially Zoe and Sharon. They send you to the worse nurseries who treat you really badly and make you a slave. Nurseries that would let their staff go home early and leave you with the kids all alone until 6pm when they’re permanent staff are gone by 4pm. Whenever I have a general enquiry I’m always ignored by the staff members. So you can imagine it being worse when it’s a major enquiry. Overtime is never paid for even if you have a time sheet to proof it. Multiple times I’ve stayed over at nurseries helping clean up or waiting for the last child to to at 15 minutes pass but this was never covered. The hours they put you on are extremely long and shifts change last minute with zero notice. The management is childish and prank called me multiple times even when I left. I've been sent of shifts and ghosted my the staff when trying to ask questions or get help. The staff guilt trip you for problems they've caused. On their instagram you can tell they're too busy drinking and eating junk to do their job.
