Our 14-day self-drive through Namibia and Botswana was without a doubt the most incredible trip we have ever taken! Our review on Explore Namibia in short: outstanding service, excellent local knowledge, and a perfectly organized journey. If you are considering a self-drive adventure through Namibia and Botswana, look no further. We highly recommend them!

What we appreciated very much was the flexibility. This was our first trip to Africa, so we had quite some questions. You can ask Explore Namibia for anything, and they will tailor the route completely to your wishes and travel style.

From the very first moment in Namibia, everything was perfectly organized. We were warmly welcomed at the airport, there was time to buy a SIM card before setting off and we enjoyed an extensive meet & greet upon arrival at the ASCO rental depot with a representative from Explore Namibia. There was plenty of time to ask questions and go through the itinerary in detail.

The 4x4 Toyota Safari from ASCO was outstanding, and the camping equipment was of great quality. The vehicle handover and return were handled with great care—thorough, efficient, and highly professional.

We also received a very useful booklet from Explore filled with practical tips and detailed explanations, as well as an app with all route information. All of the campsites and lodges they recommended were absolutely fantastic. Every single accommodation matched exactly what we were looking for and exceeded our expectations.

During the trip, we received WhatsApp updates and whenever we had a question, the response was always extremely fast and helpful. We will defintely book our next self drive through Southern Africa via Explore Namibia!

We had the best experience with Explore Africa, the pricing is on point, the information provided is great and the speed at which they communicate is amazing. The car itself was brand new and decked out in all the necessary equipment. We had a wonderful safari thanks to this company.

Perfekt von der Vorbereitung bis zum nachträglichen überragenden (!!) Kundenservice.
Bereits im Vorfeld gab es eine klare und gute Kommunikation, unterstützt durch transparente und ausführliche digitale Reisevorschläge, die nach Bedarf angepasst wurden.
Die Reise selbst war hervorragend organisiert und alle Unterkünfte unserer Selbstfahrer-Reise so wie beschrieben. Teilweise waren wir noch positiv überrascht weil die Unterkünfte in natura noch schöner waren als vorab erkennbar. Namibia als unglaublich abwechslungsreiches und wunderschönes Land tut sein übriges dazu.
Die 4 Tage im Damaraland mit Rainer als unserem guide waren eine sehr besondere und phantastische Erfahrung und wir sind froh, dass wir diese Erfahrung in der "Wildnis" gemacht haben.
Bei Missgeschicken unsererseits hat uns Silvia unglaublich engagiert und freundlich unterstützt - ich kann nciht genug danken.
Ein herzliches Dankeschön an das gesamte Team, wir haben Euch bereits mehrfach wärmstens weiter empfohlen und werden es weiterhin tun.

Ich bin allein als Frau mit 2 kleinen Kindern durch Namibia gefahren. Explore Africa hat alles super organisiert, meine Fragen/Ängste (absolut unbegründet) beantwortet.... kurz und gut.. ich plane grad die nächste Reise 🥰🥰🥰

Explore Africa heeft ons ongelofelijk goed geholpen met het verwezenlijken van onze droomreis door Namibië met een 4x4 met daktent.
Dankzij de informatiedag met enthousiaste presentaties en prachtige beelden en vervolgens de persoonlijke hulp, adviezen en tips van Tamara, kwamen we tot de perfecte samenstelling van onze reis.
Met alle informatie in een overzichtelijke app en ook op papier gingen we in totale rust en met een veilig gevoel op reis. Een maand lang genoten van een bijzonder prachtig land, de mooiste campsites en vriendelijke mensen.
We zouden iedereen Explore Africa aanraden.

Duidelijke communicatie, komen afspraken na, wat gevraagd wordt word ook geleverd.

Great experience. Defenitly one of the best trips I´ve done

Alles perfekt organisiert. Tolles Team von der ersten Anfrage bis zur Rückgabe des Toyota Hilux 4x4.
Qualität zu einem Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Namibia ist ein unglaubliches Land und obwohl wir nur 10 Tage investiert haben, waren wir total beindruckt.
Vielen Dank nochmals an alle Mitarbeiter von Explore Namibia und der Top Autovermietung in Windhoek. Ohne Euch wäre die Reise nicht zu dem geworden, was sie war!

Fantastic trip! Two weeks of self- driving trip 6 people in 2 cars and 4 tents. The route was well laid out, paced and perfect mix of camping, glamping and lodges (approximately a 3rd of each). The 2 cars were excellent - reliable, well equipped and with all what was needed for the trip and camping. The camp sites were clean and we much appreciated the facilities of clean toilets and showers and especially when these were available for each camp site (except for one camp site Okaukuejo which was fine but less charming). Several favorites with the Waterberg Andersson the highlight. We were in particular excited about the glamping sites - the most beautiful the Mowani Campsite. The Dead Valley Lodge, Sossuflei Lodge, Mokuti and Okonjima Plains lodges were superb - beautiful accommodation and great food. The App was great, well laid out and a great help for planning incl recommendation for activities good as well (could provide more alternatives and required timings). Finally, the service and response on queries was exemplary. We very much hope to be back and have already passed on the recommendations.

Explore Namibia truly went above and beyond with organising our trip. Only one word can describe our trip and that's unforgettable! We hadden met z’n achten een geweldige rondreis georganiseerd door het Explore Namibia team, die een aantal van onze eigen specifieke wensen mooi wisten te vertalen in een geweldige roadtrip. Alles ging goed, we genieten enorm na. Toch fijn idee dat ze voor je klaar staan mocht er iets zijn.
