I really think this has been the worst…

I really think this has been the worst few weeks of my life in terms of pain. Still have the hemorrhoid too so also completely useless. Felt good straight after, day 3-5 had heavy bleeding and then for 3 weeks I’ve had burning, lancinating pain where I’ve had to get to a&e, the doctors and call 111. It’s genuinely been the worst few weeks of my life and I still have the hemorrhoid.

Had a good experience

Had a good experience! The procedure is a bit painful, more uncomfortable than anything, but it’s manageable. Got rid of my piles completely though.

RIP off and ineffective

No cure despite 2 treatments and out of pocket by £1200. Feels like a sales pitch rather than an attempt to sort the issue and grab as much as ££ as possible. Itching is worse than it was previously and now they want further ££ for skin tag removal even though I think the piles issue has not been remedied

Good so far…

I’m well over six weeks and symptoms have completely resolved.

The procedure itself is a little uncomfortable, but weighing it up against the chronic problem, I’d rather do it several times vs put up with the itching and bleeding. If I had to characterise the feeling, it’s like being flicked with a rubber band but in an unusual place.

I had a very cordial and friendly conversation with the doctor and the chaperone who did their best to put me at ease before and during the procedure. I took a star off because my notes say my “poor diet” is to blame but I wasn’t asked what my diet was and I feel my time on a bike saddle has more bearing on my condition.

Good follow up call today where I was expectation managed and encouraged to book a follow up if symptoms returned. The way the treatment works means timely repeat therapy is essential or it regresses. Yes, it’s costly, but businesses like this exist to relieve pain and discomfort. If you aren’t getting treatment on the NHS, this is a viable alternative.

A business I wanted to like

This is a business I wanted to like and support - filling a gap in NHS provision with an apparent innovation (albeit only for those who can afford it). However, like some others who have reviewed below, I too have had ‘3 or more’ treatments and my symptoms are no different to when I started. The sales people told me that a significant minority of ‘patients’ (aka customers) need ‘3 or more’ treatments. What does this mean? How big is this ‘minority’ and how accurate is this data given that presumably some patients have no further contact with the company? And does it mean this minority group will be cured eventually, or maybe never? My concern is that for a significant minority, this treatment may well prove ineffective. If that is not the case, why won’t the company guarantee the treatment? Or at least have a special treatment programme for those needing ‘3 or more’ treatments? Instead, my experience is that the very, very persistent sales team will happily push me to book additional treatments - and come up with all manner of far-fetched reasons as to why it hasn’t worked so far (never acknowledging that it might be the treatment and not me) - with absolutely no assurance as to the probability of eventual success. So my advice would be try it out if you like and are feeling lucky and hopefully you will be successful. But decide a clear point when you will walk away, and don’t get sucked into the pushy sales pitches. This is very much a red-blooded business. As for the treatment itself, it’s pretty uncomfortable and the service/facilities are all fairly basic/functional and I never thought ‘wow these guys are amazing’. Instead, I felt happy to get out. And I think the aftercare could be much improved with a focus on patient outcomes rather than sales. My guess is someone will come along with similar technology soon enough and do things better.

I've had 3 treatments with the last one…

I've had 3 treatments with the last one on Noveber 29 2024. Unfortunately the treatment hasn't worked for me. I'm in the same predicament I was in at the start. I can't fault the staff or the consultant. The follow-up calls and appointments were all booked with in the recommended time frames. It just hasn't worked. With my treatment every time i was treated the procedure got more painful. I was tempted to try one more time but after £3000 another £750 with no guarantee of success seemed a pointless exercise.

I suffered during pregnancy

I suffered during pregnancy, and 2 years after giving birth I still had a problem. I had all the creams & suppositories, took laxatives and still had weekly painful flare ups. Was a little nervous going with these as it’s not guaranteed to work and is a lot of money. I am really happy, just wish I’d done it sooner. It’s not very pleasant, had to grit my teeth a few times on the bigger ones, however is a pain I would go through again if needed because it was short term and I feel totally better after 2 months. I haven’t even looked at my draw of treatments since I had it done. I’ve pretty much forgotten I had them. For me, this was 100% worth it. Mine were only grade 2 so I think this is why it was successful after one treatment.

No improvements

I had first treatment on 21st October and 2nd on December 9th in 2024 at Wimbledon,London.I believe the doctor did the treatment well. Unfortunately after two treatments my condition is exactly same as before the treatment. I am very disappointed that after spending more than £2000 ,my condition still remains the same. I expected at least 50% improvement after second treatment. I went for the second treatment based on testimonies given in reviews.Based on my experience l don't recommend this treatment unless money is not a matter for you.

It can be disheartening when you don't get the hoped for results as soon as you would like and at the same time as others do. Everybody's anatomy and condition is different and so symptom resolution can take longer to achieve for some, despite there being clinical improvement achieved.

Of course, if you want to persevere and avoid surgical options, maintaining the momentum in the clinical improvement gained so far, we would recommend coming back to be treated sooner if you can manage it so that your condition doesn't regress.

Excellent treatment

Excellent treatment. Professional and sympathetic staff. Symptoms all cleared. I did try normal banding elsewhere but this did not work. So would definitely recommend this procedure.

Easy Treatment

I had an excellent experience at the Exroid clinic in Glasgow. The staff were very kind and considerate and the treatment seemed quick and simple. I felt the benefit immediately but after three months I went back for another session and am pleased to say that thirty-five years after childbirth the condition has fully resolved. Thanks so much to Exroid.

A ‘ No ‘ from me

Unfortunately, I’m just another scenario which didn’t feel any improvement after my treatment. What is worse, I experience more pain, itchiness and discomfort than before. I have no idea how come, their testimonies on the page had much worse situations than mine and had miraculous recoveries.
If these testimonies are real at all.
My situation went back to square 1 after roughly 3 months. Session over all was actually very painful, up to the point I left room cold sweated and tired. My doctor was as friendly and he could be, but atmosphere in the room was still awkward and uncomfortable. I did not spoke up before, and did not pick up follow up call- as I know this company would only try to convince me to get more sessions. I’m not having this again! I feel I was scammed and I know this company won’t give me my money back. I still have medical problem I need to fix, and I just spent over a grand for nothing.

Recommend The treatment

Treated in Dublin. From start to finish great service and effective treatment. Prolapsed internal hem gone within a couple of weeks from treatment. Uncomfortable experience but bearable and completely worth it.

Caring and kind staff

Had my first treatment in September 2024 in Dublin.
I had prolapsed haemorrhoids and had been in the care of my GP suffering for nearly a month beforehand. The first treatment went very well and Fergal immediately made me feel at ease. The treatment itself was uncomfortable but I wouldn’t say painful. I felt great after the treatment apart from cramps for a few minutes later in the afternoon. After 5 weeks I had a small bit of bleeding and contacted Fergal and straight away he asked if I could come back for to check it out.
Had second treatment a week later after examination and this was a little more painful as the examination revealed I had a larger one that didn’t respond to the first treatment. All the while I felt in control to stop if it got too painful.
Eight weeks on and I feel great no need for creams or worrying when I go away on holidays.
I would highly recommend eXroid treatment and the staff in the Dublin clinic were kind and caring at all times. I was lucky enough to have IrishLifeHealth which fully covered treatment and I strongly think it should be part of Public Health Service for anyone who needs treatment.

Not bad but improvements in after care needed for the price

I had one session 16th September

Doctor was wonderful in Glasgow and I cannot fault him.

Treatment slightly uncomfortable but manageable

2 narrow based grade 2 haemorrhoids diagnosed.

I have left until now to review

Unfortunately I am in more discomfort now than before I went in and get daily throbbing which I never had before to this extent, I note some people require two or more sessions but I cannot afford a second session as on a plan with the first. I feel disappointed.

It could be I need more time but I expected at least a 50 percent improvement by now.

I am sure others have positive results after one session. This is my personal experience.

In reply to reply and email received thank you. Although I had emailed twice prior to my trust pilot review with no response and my last arranged call never occurred. Follow up for the service is not great , it’s a lot of money and as a nurse myself I expected better follow up care. No further replies required.

Update 30th November . I am feeling 50 percent better and if needed will hope to get another session when 8 can afford . Although I never got my 2nd follow up call as planned and no replies to emails. That is a poor follow up and should be improved . Thank you for the reply

Long time sufferer, now cured!

As a sufferer of hemorrhoids for around 30 years and after multiple wasted trips to my doctor I discovered the exroid treatment while searching online. After meeting Mr Rajeev Peravali at the Birmingham Edgbaston Midland Health Clinic he diagnosed me with a Grade 4 hemorrhoid and a fissure which was giving me constant issues with itching, pain, and never actually feeling clean down there. At my first appointment I was given the first exroid treatment which was uncomfortable but tolerable and lasted for around 8 minutes. All I can say is that during the process, Mr Peravali and his chaperones were amazing and put me at ease. The amazing thing is that my symptoms that I'd been suffering with for years cleared up almost immediately. I did have a follow up about 6 weeks later and had another shorter session of the eXroid treatment and I can now say that my hemorrhoids have gone. If you are a sufferer like I was, then please don't continue to suffer and book that appointment. I would like to say a massive thanks to the entire team at eXroid, youve literally changed my life!!!

Great care and service .

From first appointment made to completing 3 treatments I have had the best care and service and would recommend anyone with piles to use Exroid . The staff and follow up calls have been great and this has been a success and I now have a normal toilet experience.

I had piles for over 10 years

I had piles for over 10 years . The last two month I suffered from bleeding till I have anemia, low haemoglobin.
I had treatment with London Exroid Clinic last week , the treatment went well and it’s a little bit painful but it’s manageable. After treatment there is no pain , no more bleeding . It’s very effective . Thx for Dr Ussamah El-Khani saved my life .
