Finney pointing quoted to do some work. I couldn’t be at the property at the time of work so I asked him to send photos when the job was done. He sent pictures of what looked like the job was done so I sent the money.
After arriving only half of the job was done and he had left after I sent the money. I’ve had no response from him since as he has blocked my number.
This company was horrendous to deal with
Promised to turn up numerous times. Did not turn up and phone turned off for days
Standard of work very poor.
Missed lots of pointing on my front wall. Lots of uneven joints . Lots snots on brickwork .
Allowed them to correct but no better
Do not be fooled. They are not professionals and should not be operating in this field
Caused me undue stress
Could not defend their poor standard of work
I luckily withheld some money as I need another company to correct their work
Left the site in a state and want cash payment

Firstly we would like to say sorry that the job didn’t go as you expected it to.
From booking the job in we gave you a start date and the week before I had taken 4 days off due to me pulling my back and my business partner got mixed up in which job was being started next, as we had 3 different scaffolds up at that time.
Granted this was unprofessional but it was started within a week of the scaffolding being erected.
You instructed us to sheet all your windows and front door up and we did exactly that. On day one after the grinding out was complete we swept all the dust up and then jet washed the full front elevation and front garden. The site was left spotless.
On day two the full front was repointed and also a helical bar inserted where you had a small crack in the mortar line.
We had received a phone call from you saying that the helical bar had not been inserted, pointing missing, the site was a mess and the pointing wasn’t a good standard.
I forwarded you a picture of the helical bar inserted in the wall and said that we was going to do a mortar stain wash due to the joints being 3mm wide. This is common practice on joints so thin as it’s hard not to get a bit of mortar staining on the bricks. We visited site the next day and the bay window guttering did have some mortar in which we cleaned out.
I booked the scaffolding in to come down the next day as the pointing what was missed was where a scaffolding pole was underneath the arch to the bay window on one brick 75mm of pointing in total.
You wouldn’t let us come back to do the missing down joint of pointing or to carry out the mortar staining wash.
We have left it a while to reply to this review to see if you had, had another company in to rectify what you thought to be bad pointing and after driving past on numerous occasions the job is as we left it.
We have been trading for years now and this has been our first bad review. We hope this doesn’t put future customers off and ask them to read all our other reviews on different platforms.

I am extremely satisfied with my dealings with Finney Pointing. The whole process was very smooth from start to finish. Pete was very knowledge and very pleasant to deal with as were his men on site.They did a brilliant job of the pointing and were very respectful at all times, with as little disruption as possible to me and my family. Would definitely recommend.
Pete's team replaced 4 lintels and repointed the front and back of our house. Pete was easy to get hold of and patient with my questions. We were very happy with the work done and would use them again.
We chose this firm on the recommendation of our daughter who, had been very satisfied when she had her house repointed by the firm. We found Pete Finney to be approachable, reliable and very accommodating. His men - Tony, Dean and Andy - worked extremely hard and the standard of their work was consistently high. They made every effort to provide a good quality finish and one which we would be satisfied with. The three men were always pleasant, considerate and reliable. Each day, they cleaned the working area and on finishing the job removed all the rubbish and left everywhere tidy. We would wholeheartedly recommend this firm to anyone who needed their house pointing.
Called this Company as we were in real need of some help to solve a damp problem within the property. Pete was brilliant from start to finish, sensed our urgency and booked us in really quickly. There was great communication throughout and the price was very good. Would definitely use again. Thanks Pete and the team!

I had my roof and pointing done by Finney Pointing Services. Very professional job done by Pete and his team, all the lads were knowledgeable. And most importantly a very clean and tidy job done. Very pleased with the honest work and service provided.

Had finney pointing services point the front and back of our home plus replace a stone window lentil which was a major task and heavy since day one meeting peter and the lads who are very friendly the work they carried out was excellent and they cleaned up after themselves I can honestly say I can highly recommend them thanks again peter and the lads cheers Brian

Had Finney Pointing Services Carry out extensive work on my property. A full repoint , reroof and chimney capped off as well as a steel lintel installed at my back door. I cannot recommend Finney pointing services more I was really impressed with the quality of all the work carried out and how professional and knowledge the team were and the attention to detail that the team had when finishing everything. Overall I am extremely happy and would highly recommend them.

Had Finney Pointing Services to point my rear wall which was severely water damaged from next doors property. The scaffold went up really quick... The lads came to do the pointing and have done an excellent job... Went above and beyond on a couple of other points, can't thank them enough. Scaffold back down a couple days later in about 10 minutes lol.
Having them back to look at other work, they had brilliant reviews now I've seen for myself they were worth the wait.
This is a few years ago, the manager ghosted me and ignored my attempts at communication. I have no idea why. Very, very disappointed

I had leaks on my chimneys, gutters and rear wall. The Finney crew came and solved all of my issues and at a very reasonable price. Pete, Mike & Tom are all really knowledgable, trustworthy and very friendly guys. I highly recommend them no matter how large or small the job.
