Took over 3 weeks to return car and poor courtesy car not like for like kept getting text messages telling me car expected to be ready for a certain date only to receive another different date this happened a few times poor service

Hi Patrick,
Your vehicle came onsite with us as an undriveable vehicle which meant the vehicle would be with us longer than a pre booked vehicle which we did explain at the time of the initial referral from your insurer.
We collected your vehicle the next day and dropped off a courtesy car (2023 Seat Arona 5 Door) at no charge to yourself which your insurer does not pay us for. Your insurer requirements are for a small 5-door vehicle which the Seat Arona is a medium sized vehicle. Your insurer does not offer a like for like courtesy car as standard and we absorb the cost of providing the courtesy car which you were supplied for the duration your vehicle was onsite with us for repairs.
As your vehicle came onsite with us as an undriveable vehicle there was no estimate carried out prior to the vehicle coming onsite or any parts ordered which extended the length of time the vehicle was onsite with us which we did explain.
We kept you informed of the updates as soon as possible like when parts were ordered, and when they went onto backorder which we have no control over. Your insurer requires all of their vehicles to have ECD ( estimated completion dates) advised to customers as soon as the vehicle comes onsite. Normally customers would be provided with an ECD once we had all parts onsite and were then ready to start repairs, but your insurer require us to follow their processes which we have,
Once all the parts arrived onsite repairs were able to start, and the total repair time was 4 working days so total key to key time was 23 days for an undriveable vehicle with backorder parts.
We feel that your 1-star review is unjustified, but we will take onboard your feedback and review our processes where necessary.
We have no incentive to keep any customers vehicle onsite longer than it needs to be as we do not receive payment for the repairs until after a customer has their vehicle handed back to them.

terrible service
terrible service - timeframe too long, bad communication
In response to their reply - they were chosen by our insurance and didn't explain any delays - just laughed when asked if could be sooner than the 7 weeks it had taken to repair!

At the start of the repair process, we offered to carry out a temporary repair to make your vehicle driveable and provided a book in date to ensure your vehicle remained mobile. As this option was declined and the vehicle was not in use, we accommodated your later request to bring it in as an unroadworthy vehicle. As we explained at the time, this approach extended the overall repair time compared to the temporary repair option, which would have allowed us to order parts and prepare the repair in advance.
Additionally, the timing coincided with the summer holiday period, which impacted workshop capacity. While this was outside of our control, we recognise this may have contributed to the longer stay of your vehicle with us.
We appreciate your feedback and will use it to review and improve our processes where possible.

The Moncrieffs repair
From the first time we contacted Fix Auto we knew we were is safe hands and the reception we received when we phoned was always courteous and professional even when we had to contact them when my husband had an accident in the courtesy car.
Our repaired vehicle was returned to us in showroom condition and I would recommend this repairer to anyone as we have been driving for over 50 years and never received this standard of customer service

Excellent Repair Service
The company was recommended via my insurance company. From the outset, everything was handled efficiently. I was given a courtesy car and I received regular updates so I never had to chase for information. When my car was returned, it looked immaculate, inside and out, and the repair work was completed to a high standard. On top of that, every staff member I dealt with, was courteous and helpful. Would highly recommend the company for any car repairs going forward.

I was very happy with the experience I had using Fix Auto. They picked my car up and dropped it off and they were very professional. Insurance Repair
My car was repaired by Fix Auto via my insurance following it being hit by another vehicle. From initial contact until pick up found staff to be friendly and efficient. Decent courtesy car. Kept updated on progress of repair, really pleased with finish on my car. It had also been given a mini valet and smelt lovely inside. Can't fault the company, would use again and would definitely recommended.

A definite recommendation
Having before experienced car repairs through companies recommended by our insurance, I was a bit concerned about how things would go. I needn’t have been because they did everything , and more, that they said they would; a lovely courtesy car that suited my needs, informative texts keeping me up to date with the stages of the repair and a wonderful job completed to an excellent standard. My car looked new when I got it back,
inside and out.
I’m also delighted with the quality of the service from the staff with whom i dealt.
A wonderful company all round.

Great experience
After being involved in a hit and run just before Christmas my insurance recommended that I use Fix Auto Ayr to repair my car. With this being the first accident I was involved in, I was naturally very stressed, especially with still having to work over the festive period and its limited transport. Fix Auto Ayr didn't waste any time and collected my car and dropped off a courtosey car on the next working day, so this alleviated so much stress. Throughout the whole process I was kept well informed and any questions I had were answered. The whole process was seamless and when my car was dropped off it looked brand new. My whole experience with Fix Auto Ayr has been great and I will definitely use their services again (hopfully not any time soon though)😅. Thank you!
