I heard about their showroom and prefer to shop local where I can, so we went to look to get inspiration for our new house. The showroom is lovely with great displays. Neil was very helpful and showed us some options we hadn't thought of. Well worth a visit, we'll definitely be back once the house sales completed thanks Neil 😁
Very poor workmanship. Im afraid this company have been dishonest. The bathroom subfloor has been rotten since covid. A gentleman from flooring matters came to my home to inspect the floor and to show me linoleum patterns and colours. He spent nearly an hour checking the subfloor and informed me that it was rotten, I new this as I had to rip up the old linoleum so I could use my dehumidifier to continuesly dry the floor. The stink was terrible. Before the day of the appointment the operative that inspected my bathroom floor and was going to do the job had left the company and on the day of the appointment the two operatives who arrived to do the floor didn't bring anything to replace the subfloor with, they just turned up with a roll of lino and laid this over a failed subfloor and sealed it. So I am still left with a stinking bathroom. The woman in thier office that i had spoken with informed me that they had made a mistake and didn't bring the replacement subfloor. Now that I have caused a fuss about it with my landlord the lies have begun. The Guinness Partnership have informed me that flooring matters have informed them that when the two operatives inspected the subfloor and it was fine. This is absolutely not true. The subfloor cannot fail and then suddenly fix itself. Just because it may look dry on the Surface because of me using the dehumidifier doesn't mean the floor is sound as once it fails it stays failed because the wood is ruined. When i spoke with the individual in thier office i was given the impression that this company were up to scratch. What they say and what they do are miles apart. What disgusts me the most is the lies that they are telling my landlord. If anyone has a problem with me calling them out as liars and if Trustpilot don't like it i don't really care because its a valid word and its in the dictionary. I would have given Flooring Matters no stars but it doesn't allow that. But as far as I am concerned getting a job wrong is one thing but when the dishonesty starts that's when they get called out. Substandard and dishonest. As you can see the company responded but all they have done is lie again. As i said they are dishonest. And they are not fit for purpose. They're stink of corruption. My kitchen floors due out to be done soon and this cowboy organisation will not be doing it that is for sure. This shower would probably put the lino on the ceiling. What an absolute disgusting company.

We’d just like to clarify a few points. The operative who carried out the work confirmed that the existing subfloor was sound and in good condition. Chipboard was brought to site as a precaution; it was not forgotten, but simply wasn’t required in this case, which is why it wasn’t replaced. At no point were we informed that it had been forgotten, and it was explained during the phone conversation at the time that replacement was not needed.
As part of the installation, the subfloor was overlaid with new 6mm plywood before the cushion vinyl was fitted. As a company, we would never install flooring over a subfloor that had failed or was unsuitable, and this was not the case here.
We would also like to note that the individual you mentioned as having inspected the flooring had in fact left the company around four months prior to these works taking place.
As we were subcontracted to complete these works, any further concerns would need to be raised with your social housing provider, who appointed us. They will be able to review everything with you directly.

The team have been amazing in completing the fitting of 4 new carpets (including stairs). John has done an excellent job each time. Neil has also been incredibly patient when we encountered a water leak problem and replacing the final carpet was delayed by 4-5 months.
