I tried to join Folyo and had just one small question before signing up. It’s been quite a while since I first reached out, and despite following up multiple times, I haven’t received any reply. Disappointing experience so far.

I make it a point to personally respond to every inquiry promptly — so I'm sorry to hear this wasn't your experience. I wasn't able to locate any emails matching this account in my system, so it's possible messages got caught in a spam filter on either end. False review.
This "customer" was promptly canceled and refunded when requested.
My customers can cancel anytime, throughself-service cancellation using the app they sign up on.
I'm not sure why he's claiming that my service is a scam.
He signed up for it, on my sales page which is clearly laid out and gives you an idea of what to expect.
Simply because I didn't reply to his emails immediately doesn't mean I'm scamming him.
Again, he tried the service didn't like it and was promptly refunded. Now he writes a review calling me a scammer.
Not sure what I did wrong but best of luck to him.
Solid leads and good advice
During the pandemic I leaned more into Freelance work and learned of the leads service provided by Robert WIlliams of Folyo.
I chatted with him a few times first, followed his blog post a while before deciding to try it. Once I signed up, not only did I get good and relevant leads for my web design and development business, Folyo also had great resources and advice for freelancers on best practices for outreach, prepping for RFP replies and follow up.
There is action required by subscribers, but I have landed multiple RFP awards thanks to the leads service.
Highly recommend for any serious freelance designers and developers.

Folyo is not for me
Quotes from the FAQ:
"I’m outside the US. Is that a problem? -> Nope. Folyo has members from all over the world. "
"What if I do X type of work?
Folyo is great for two types of freelancers: designers and front-end developers."
I paid the subscription fee and there were very a few opportunities for developers (mostly for designers). Also, when I sent out email, none of them responded.
The Slack community was not really alive, just plugin messages pinged the whole @chanells without any further review (sometimes just saying based on an integrated form: "@channel, XYZ Marco recommended a tool for us: -" or something other non-sense).

Hi Németh, thanks for the feedback. The Slack community was something we tested out and is not currently part of the leads subscription. We have actually changed the leads we send too, much more website development focused. Appreciate you trying the service.
