Never Again
After having a positive experience in the past we hired Freya to stay at our house to care for our two dogs while we went away for Christmas 2025 vacation. The promise was daily check ins via text to let us know everything was ok. After a day and a half of no text messages or responses we checked the driveway camera to discover two strangers in and out of our home. Freya was "unable" to stay at the house as agreed and rather than utilize the emergency contact list that was left for her, she decided that her friend and her sister would fill in instead. Two complete strangers in our home. We then contacted our nephew, who was on the emergency list, to take over. Upon seeking a refund (she insisted on being paid upfront despite always being paid after service in the past, should have been a red flag admittedly), which we eventually did get, Freya berated me and never did accept responsibility for this turn of events. Never even an apology for us having to scramble from afar on our vacation to secure our dogs and our home, only a name calling rant when I tried to hold her accountable. She has become unstable in my opinion. Off to change the locks. Although great in the past, never again.
