A very short notice delivery request was completed quickly and efficiently without fuss.

Efficient, professional and a good range

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing.

I placed an order for over £500 worth of Clase Azul as gifts for my groomsmen ahead of my wedding. The order was cancelled due to security checks. While frustrating, I completely understand the need for fraud prevention and had no issue with that.

The problem started when I contacted customer service.

I explained the situation, including why the delivery address differed from the billing address. The representative I spoke to, James, told me he understood and provided me with a payment link, explaining that if I reordered through that link the order could be processed and dispatched that day.

Based on that advice, I placed a second order for over £500.

Less than 10 minutes later, I received another email informing me that the second order had also been cancelled following security checks.

At one point, I had over £1,000 tied up across two separate transactions while still having no order and needing to source wedding gifts elsewhere.

What I find most disappointing is not the security checks themselves. The issue is being advised by customer service to place a second order, only for that order to be cancelled almost immediately as well.

To add to the confusion, the cancellation and refund emails were sent from Champagne & Gift Company rather than Fulham Wine Company, despite the order being placed through Fulham Wine Company. It left me unsure who I was actually dealing with throughout the process.

Had I been told from the outset that the order could not be fulfilled, I would simply have purchased elsewhere and saved a significant amount of time, stress and uncertainty.

The staff member was polite throughout, but the overall process was poor, contradictory and left me with very little confidence in the company's ability to handle legitimate orders where the billing and delivery addresses differ.

In the end, I had to source the bottles elsewhere in order to meet my deadline, which completely defeated the purpose of contacting customer service and following the instructions I was given.

Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won't be ordering again.

A mistake was made and they rang to apologise and explain that they will rectify it. They did promise me a box of chocolates as well but I'm still waiting on that, 🤣. However, communication was great, so cant fault them.

Will definitely order again.
