FxSound kicks a$$
I just started using it and I'm absolutely amazed at the quality. For a free program you can't beat it. It's enhanced movies and games to the point where I have fallen back in love with my pc. I would recommend to at least give it a try if you feel your lacking in the sound department.

Decent at best
It's a good program. If you're looking for more volume, you will get it, but it comes at a cost. Sound quality.
I run my computer source material directly into my Crown PS-400 amps. They are very clean, spacious and reliable as gravity. When I turn it up to "11", the sound seems a bit dirtier, than when I disable it.
The only way it seems to work for me, is when I run the eq flat. At that setting with all effects turned off (surround, clarity, ambience) it performs "decent".
so I use just the dynamic boost as a volume control. the other features although sort of enhance and add some presence to the sound, it comes at a cost of reduced sound quality.
Overall I would recommend this program. but for true audiophile use, be cautious with the settings.

Perfect
I Felt like the bass wasn't that great so i tried downloading the software and it made it 10 times better.
I highly recommend this program if you need better bass or better sound quality in your preference.

I use FxSound for my bluetooth earphones!
I have been using FxSound for about 3 months now and it is absolutly amazing. It has an easy to use menu and I can boost my volume without any distortion at all with a 9 point Equilizer.
I have tried many different softwares in the past and this one is the best
I highly recommend this software

Far better than Nahimic
It's free, easy to use, definitely boosts sound quality & volume.
This is the 2nd laptop I've used it on & the improvement is waaaay more noticeable than the bundled Nahimic crap!
