Professional Experience

Parasto Yari is an experienced lawyer, human rights professional, policy advisor, and peacebuilding specialist with a strong background in government institutions, international organizations, civil society, and women’s empowerment initiatives.

Her professional experience includes working with UNAMA, the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Afghanistan Peace Council, and the Chief Executive Office of Afghanistan. She has also served as Senior Advisor to the Minister of Peace of Afghanistan, led the Law Board of the State Ministry of Peace, and was a member of the Technical Committee of the Afghan Peace Negotiation Team.

Yari has extensive expertise in human rights, legal affairs, policy development, peacebuilding, gender equality, women’s political participation, advocacy, and minority rights. She has held leadership and advisory roles in national peace initiatives and worked closely with civil society organizations to promote inclusive peace and greater participation of women in decision-making processes.

Her professional experience combines legal expertise, policy analysis, strategic advisory, human rights advocacy, institutional development, and peacebuilding, giving her a broad understanding of both national and international policy environments.

Currently working in Poland as a Lawyer and Chief Human Rights Officer at Kochanski & Partners Business Law Firm, Yari continues to apply her professional expertise in law, human rights, equality, and international cooperation.
