The service was great I have used this garage for 8 years and they have always give a great service and always respectful to the car and customers I will give them 5 stars and there knowledge on vehicles are outstanding.

Volvo services
I have trusted Martin Mathewson and his team to MOT, maintain, and service my Volvo XC60 cars for the past 12 years. To keep this review in context I should say that when it comes to motors, my cars always sparkle in the sunlight and I am,unashamedly, a self confessed perfectionist, During that time I can honestly say that I have found their garage services to be consistently accommodating, efficient, effective, friendly, spot on in terms of diagnostics, and honestly priced at the point of delivery. When it comes to recommending them do I really need to say any more?

I know it could not be helped but having to insure myself for the Courtesy Car
was an added expense. Otherwise, excellent customer service.

Thank you for the feedback on the recent clutch assembly replacement we carried out on your Ford C Max, much appreciated :)
With regard to the insurance, we have always found that the vast majority of our customer's are covered to drive any vehicle, under their own insurance policy. To assist our customers, we are able to give them the option to use our loan car if they wish, on this basis, whilst their repair is being carried out at the workshop.
Always very helpful.

My car went in for a service, i was informed and asked if I wanted some extra work done but declined but was given advice of when to get the work done. Good and professional service and great staff

Trust issues - extreme caution
Update: Each has to decide …who has trust issues, the garage that disconnect the customers dash camera (without asking) that is designed to monitor driving(not service on the car) or the customers that are not even offered a minimum facility (in your own waiting space) to observe the work.
The car was not in for MOT and was not serviced in MOT area.
After 30 years of trade your practices are an insult for any of your existing and potential new customers.
Trust issues. They do not have cameras to see what service they do to your car. They have 2 cameras that covers MoT area only. They also disconnected my dash-cam so they are not getting recorded for whatever reasons. If they cannot do a service visible snd they do whatever it take to hide then there us a reason not to be trusted as garage. The car had all fluids changed (what was payed) but behaves as nothing was changed, and I been given no reason they did what I payed them to do.

Yes, I agree, you do have trust issues. Maybe you should work on these.
If you would have had the common decency to call us at the workshop, then we would have been happy to explain that the MOT bay requirements state that 'non recording' cameras are in situ - please take that up with the DVSA!
The workshop itself has CCTV and a high degree of security. There are many reasons why we disconnect vehicle dash cameras, as the signs located around the garage and waiting areas indicate - this question would also have been answered, if you had had the decency to call our ever helpful Reception staff.
Thanks for the random picture of a bolt - not sure why you took a picture - probably them trust issues you need to work on again.
It appears from our records that you purchased this vehicle from an existing customer of ours, who had happily been returning to us for servicing, MOT's and maintenance without any issues, each year since 2018, so we know the car well.
After 30 successful years of trading - your comments are an insult to me and my Team!!

Another great job with my older Volvo V50. My fourth service and I won’t dream of taking my car anywhere else for a service and MOT.

Annual service
Used Martin Matthewson a fair few times now, this time for a minor service on my Mazda 2 which they managed to fit in the early the next day after I contacted them. They always have done a good job at a reasonable price.
