Live chat was initially took time to route me through to an agent but in the end Callum went above and beyond assisting me. Great company in my opinion. Great referrals program for existing customers too they have reduced my instalment price.

Special thanks to Leigh from customer support, she went above and beyond assisting me with all the queries and I was a heavy burden for her as I did not know how to add additional driver to my policy, I was even refunded after adding the second driver! Fab company, I wish they had multi-car too.

I was told quote is valid for 14 days but closer to the start date when I went through with an earlier cover start date they increased the price by a fair amount, apparently quotes are valid but depending on cover start date being closer they still added on. Otherwise actually a 5 star experience…

Was quoted about £500 more than…
Was quoted about £500 more than hastings youdrive and I went for Gate as it doesn’t include a black box, got 3 drivers on the policy, I didn’t have high hopes to be honest in the beginning but policy is truly fully comprehensive despite having some high price optional extras.

they cancelled my policy because I didn't upload my no claims proof within the time, EVEN THOUGH THEY NEVER SENT AN EMAIL ASKING FOR IT! Apparently I should've seen it in my account....

Requests for No Claims Bonus documentation are issued digitally and can also be viewed within the customer portal alongside policy notifications and outstanding requirements. Where requested documents are not provided within the required timeframe, policies may unfortunately be subject to cancellation in line with underwriting requirements.
If you believe you did not receive the communication correctly, please email support@gateinsure.co.uk with your policy reference and our team will be happy to review the notification history with you.

Didn't receive policy instantly but was fixed quickly.
I made a payment, my card was charged, but I never got my policy confirmation until a few hours later when I reached out to support. I got worried at first but support was great and fixed a system error on their side relatively quick. I'll not down-rate it due to that as I'm very happy with everything else.

most definitely a scam as they have no number to contact, they dont share the underwriter, and i have contact them via their online support and email and asked about the underewriter and they are yet to respond. the final thing would be that i tried paying by credit card incase i was scammed, they just kept refusing it even though i tried multiple cards. STAY AWAY

To clarify, we do provide underwriting insurer information to customers who request it. We simply require a quote reference first so we can identify the specific quotation and underwriting route assigned to it.

Regarding the payment issue, repeated payment attempts can sometimes trigger temporary automated security checks from the payment provider, particularly when multiple cards are attempted within a short period. This can result in transactions being declined temporarily even where funds are available.
If you are still interested in proceeding with insurance through us, our team would also be happy to guide you through the payment process directly via email support.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Car got written off on a slip road, thought sorting the insurance would be absolute hell. But they were unreal. Easiest claim ever, no stress at all. Best insurance experience I've ever had, they really looked after me
