I contacted them with a genuine crisis
I contacted them with a genuine crisis: a close relative fell seriously ill and I had to be there. I explained the situation clearly and asked to cancel. Their response? An automatic refusal with no explanation, no flexibility, and no human acknowledgment of why I was asking.
It's low season. My booking wasn't expensive. I would have rebooked when things settled. Instead, they chose to keep money from someone dealing with a family emergency. I understand cancellation policies exist, but there's a difference between a policy and having zero empathy in how you apply it.
I won't be back. And I'd urge anyone considering them to know: if life happens, they won't care.
