Do not book through Glamping Hub

Do not book through Glamping Hub! They are total scammers. Sounds like they are horrible to owners and renters.

They say that if you cancel at least 15 days before your trip you will get 50% back. Which I already think is kind of shady, in 15 days they can most likely rebook, but we gave them a month's notice. But you do not actually get 50% back. What they do is this, and I am going to make the math super simple...

The place you rent costs $400 for the number of nights you book. You pay Glamping Hub $400. You think you will go on a nice little glamping weekend until something happens and you have to cancel.

You cancel in time to get your 50% back.

But then you have to pay them an ADITIONAL $200 for them to give to the people who own the property PLUS a fee of $50.

So now you have given Glamping Hub $650 to get back your $150.

This is completely insane. I book places all the time, just go somewhere else. No one has ever asked me for an additional $200 over the $400 just to get back my 50% which was going to be $200 until Glamping hub then takes their $50.

The place I booked was clearly on other sites because the woman contacted me after I booked to let me know that there was a lot more information on her property on a different site.

Just save yourself, do not book here, they are horrible

25th anniversary fiasco

April 24, 2021 I inquired about booking a lakeside cabin for us and our 2 small dogs for the July 31-August 7 week. The host replied that he might have a pending booking for that week but would let us know within a couple of days. I emailed back 3 days later no response. Our reservation was rejected on May 4 "host has a problem with availability". We lost 10 days, and now finding another place is next to impossible. I should have stuck with Vrbo. In 15 years, we never had a problem with them. I wish I had checked for reviews before hand.

Customer Service is terrible and just want your money!

Do not book with them use VRBO!
For starters I booked my reservation back in May 2020 for a place to stay in July 2020. We needed a place that allowed dogs and found a beautiful place that did! I was so excited went and booked the place then messaged the host about my dogs. They then began to tell me that it was a mistake on the site and they actually do not allow dogs and they have been meaning to change that. They were very apologetic and said they would then cancel my reservation for me, BUT glamping hub did not accept their request to cancel charged me a butt load of money and said that I DID NOT CANCEL IN TIME!!! WHAT??? I went straight to my credit card company disputed the charges and got my money back so I thought I was in the clear, but ohhh no was I not! A few weeks later the charge was added back to my card and I LOST the dispute! I began calling and emailing glamping hub, the host even got involved to get my money back by calling and emailing them and it took me about a month or more of fighting by Facebooking, emailing, and calling for them to give me all my service fees back an the hosts sent me my reservation money. The host was great and knew it was all just a misunderstanding because they had put they allowed dogs but Glamping Hub was trying to claim it was MY fault and that I read the site wrong about the dogs! If they take your money FIGHT THEM it is not okay if I was misinformed!!

In all fairness the hosts were great and worked with me, but I ended up booking with VRBO after this mess and VRBO was fantastic, easy, and they very accommodating!

Reservations were canceled to Joshua…

Reservations were canceled to Joshua tree a week prior to arrival. Host said her had maintenance issues he forgot about and booking site was unable to fine me another place in similar price range. No credits were issued. Extremely dissatisfied.

What a stupid system

What a stupid system. We had to request a booking and give credit card details. We heard nothing. I wrote a message to the host within the system asking for confirmation. Nothing. 2 days later - still nothing so have withdrawn the request for a booking. How unproductive is that for all concerned. And now I've lost 2 days possibly finding another good place to stay.

Worst place ever do not stay do not…

Worst place ever do not stay do not book anything with this company. They have 2,000 of my money and it is h*ll to get it back. The story is we book a place to stay with them THEY confirmed the reservations and then THEY canceled it on us last min ( the day before we was supposed to stay and now its been 5 weeks and still have not seen my money!! all i can say is RUN RUN RUN unless you like loosing your money.

Awesome experience using Glamping Hub!

I had a great experience using Glamping Hub! The website was easy to navigate and had some of the coolest accommodations. It was easy to book and see my confirmation. Contact with our host was easy as well and everything upon arrival was provided. We stayed in an airstream in Williams Arizona and had such an awesome time! Will definitely be using Glamping Hub again!

Wish I'd read these 1-star reviews

Well, another one-star review. What more is there to say?

I booked a cabin getaway with GlampingHub for the Christmas period. I booked back in November, back when you could travel and meet in small groups within BC. The recent public health order meant I had to cancel, through no fault of my own.

While my host was very accommodating and agreed to refund my entire booking, GlampingHub have refused to refund the extortionate 'service fee', which was hidden away in the FAQs. They won't budge, and I won't get my money.

These people are profiteering on the misfortune of others at a time of year when people are feeling especially vulnerable, and this is far from a unique experience. They should be deeply, truly ashamed of themselves.

Avoid them like the plague.

HORRIBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!

So, if I could leave NEGATIVE stars I would. NIGHTMARE!!! We booked a property on Glamping hub..but the property is hosted by Vacasa and tripadvosor/flip key...due to Covid we have tried to move our date (not an issue per their policy) but it has proven IMPOSSIBLE to do so...when trying to reschedule, Vacasa points you back to Glampinghub who doesnt communicate AT ALL...I will NEVER use any of these services again...what good is a policy, if you cant functionally take advantage of it...I am now out $600.00 and had to dispute with my credit card company...DO NOT USE !!!!!!!!

I really wish zero stars was a thing

I really wish zero stars was a thing. Booked a cabin over a month before our stay. Less than a week before our trip, they send us an email saying we double booked the cabin and your reservation is cancelled. To late for us to find something else. Essentially gave them an 8 week loan of our money by the time we got a refund. Very poorly managed company. Go somewhere else for travel reservations.

Can I give -10 stars!?

Can I give -10 stars!? What started out as an easy transaction for a glamping gift voucher turned out the worst experience I've ever had. Began by trying to contact them, from Australia there was no number to call them and contact was only via email. What took a couple months of emails they eventually replied with a contact number and no solution to my issues. Not only did the number not work but further emails were ignored. After 7+months it was finally sorted. Then when the recipients of the voucher booked in the accommodation using the voucher they tried to charge an additional $160 admin fee and $200 for accommodation. Back and forward another year, finally the gift voucher was used. I would never ever use this company again. Very hard to get in contact with, kept adding additional charges, rude staff and an almighty hell to deal with. Never again.

Beware of Glamping hub !

I had my Island rental listed with Glamping hub and had my first booking . Awful experience that cost me $714.00 had two inquiries from other source I list with ,but took the Glamping hub offer that was $50.00 more . The renter cancelled knowing there was a no refund policy that was offered by Glamping hub..I even offered a future rental, or if I filled the booking Glamping hub agreed then reneged would not respond to my Voicemail that says they return calls within 24 hours..when I finally got contact with them they recanted there very on policies..Lost $714.00 in revenue that I count on to pay my overhead..Beware if you deal with this company .

Tried to book a secluded camp with my…

Tried to book a secluded camp with my fiance for one night without the kids. Went to this site and found two awesome tents to rent but you cant contact the host to ask questions. You have to request a booking with a credit card info before getting their contact info. After I filled out the information form I wrote on a message to the host saying before you confirm can you please contact me so I can get more information on the two tents she had and I was looking for something within. This month because I'm about to have a baby in october. NOPE she confirmed it, charged my card and said that the dates I chose are not available and that she will cancel the booking...... 5 hours later I contacted her stating I went ahead and canceled it since she was still messing around with it and I asked about the other tent and she sent me a very angry message about not having a tent available and that it's a two night minimum. No where did I ask about the tent I originally inquired for was in the second message and the website doesnt say 2 night minimum. She is just taking her time to give me my refund. Her name is Kim on this site. 0 stars for the website and for the host being so negative.

Brilliantly Unique Booking site

Booked a dome on Glamping hub back in February. It was the last vacation I took prior to COVID lockdowns. Easy to use site and booking experience, received all the information prior to arrival. Looking forward to using the site again for my next trip!

Do yourself a huge favor and go straight to the host to book!

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was my first Glamping Hub experience and it will be my last. Due to COVID19 I had to cancel my reservation (well in advance), and found there were hidden service fees (13%!).

Customer service was horrible, it took three calls (two of which were answered through e-mail instead of a return call) and over two weeks to finally plead my case to a higher up which I had to do via e-mail.

Regardless, the company was unrelenting in refunding the service fees. I am a student and work full time, so this was a blow to me. I usually read reviews, but I did not in this case. I will next time - because I see I would have been forewarned.

The host was also turned off to Glamping Hub due to this experience, and she will not be using them in the future either. She also discovered she was charged hidden fees and was frustrated with her customer service experience as well.

Worst company ever

we visited the property at Willis County through Glamping Hub. It's listed as a Cabin when it was definitely a trailer. Trailer park trash to be exact. This was for my daughter's sweet 16 and we were completely embarrassed of this disaster. The owners ended up sleeping in a small trashy trailer that was on the property and left their doors open all night which was extremely creepy to the kids and myself. The gas grill did not work or function, the fridge broke hour after arriving, we found 2 spiders in the bed. We had to leave early the next morning cause the kids were afraid to go to bed cause of the filth and spiders. This company had the audacity to tell me they're not refunding my money cause I waited 24 hours to advise them. Unbelievable right? Please use vrbo to book anything as I've booked through them for years and always a great experience! DON'T BOOK THROUGH GLAMPING HUB OR the FAMILY CABIN NEAR SAM HOUSTON NATIONAL PARK IN WILLIS COUNTY NEAR HOUSTON. THIS IS A COMPLETE DUMP

Horrific site and service

Horrific site and service. My partner got me a voucher for my birthday. Our plan was to use it for accommodations along our road trip. First we found out the voucher can only be used on a single accommodation (annoying but fine) then the accommodation we booked had no response. We were told we could cancel and book something else which we did. We got no response AGAIN and we were due to leave for our trip THAT day so had to do last minute booking on booking.com. the original accommodation we tried to book on glampinghub thay we had no response from we were able to book quickly, easily and safely in booking.com. When we asked for a refund on our voucher they said they could extend the voucher instead but it still had ti be booked for the expiry of the voucher (not really an extension) which doesn't suit us at all. We were also extremely 😞 with the level of accommodation advertised as "glamping", it is just house or rooms or camping rented out. AVOID THIS WEBSITW AT ALL COSTS

A big "thank you" goes out to Glamping Hub! They provide a nice supplement to our rental program. Any questions or concerns are answered within 24 hours. They are not only courteous and helpful, but are very professional and willing to go the extra mile for guests as well as hosts. We hope to continue our relationship with Glamping Hub for a very long time!

Terrible Terrible Terrible

Terrible Terrible Terrible. Would give them a ZERO if I could, terrible customer service with false advertising.

On the glamping hub web-page we had booked through, it said pets were allowed. We followed up after booking with the host to make sure this was correct... well turns out it was a mistake on the Glamping Hub page. We asked them to cancel our reservation IMMEDIATELY. The next day we found that they had charged us for the full stay. After a day of calling them and trying to get a hold of them, I decided to dispute the charge with my CC company. This seemed to get their attention a little, the hosts were very responsive and were able to get our money back to us, but Glampinghub kept their $70 fee saying because we have no proof (Even though I have the messages) and disputed the charge that they will keep the fee. PS this is about a month later and I am still dealing with these dweebs.

Again don't use these scammers, best to go through VRBO or something more established. BUNCH OF CON ARTIST!

Warning - NEVER use Glamping Hub

Glamping Hub is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in 42 years. I would give it a ZERO if that was an option. I have never written a negative review before because I understand things happen and we are all human but they are really terrible.

Glamping Hub double booked the place I rented months ago and then CANCELED MY TRIP BY EMAIL THE DAY OF OUR VACATION WHEN I WAS ALREADY ON MY WAY - 2 HOURS FROM HOME! I frantically called and they would not answer the phone! They knew the day before they double booked and did not have the courtesy or professionalism to call me. They literally left me and my family stranded on the side of the road hours from my home and wouldn't answer the phone. They did not offer to help find me lodging. They did not offer any compensation. They called back a week later after and left a message telling me to email them. The host felt so bad for us that she had to Venmo me the refund from her own pocket so we could try and make other accommodations because neither of us were getting responses from them. If she wasn't so thoughtful, we'd probably still be waiting for our refund.

I can't believe a company would have such disregard for their customers.
