Ordered charcoal a month ago. Still not received. Chased twice, and was ignored. Dreadful service. Once I got hold of them finally, they failed to apologise for the lack of service, or for the treatment, and refunded without making it better.
EDIT: after a significant amount of chasing, I finally got both an apology and a nice gesture of a free 10kg bag of charcoal. Whilst I think the original experience stands as pretty awful, once they paid attention, they tried to make it right as best they could. I would be willing to try them again - the charcoal is definitely good, and I think they are well-meaning people doing their best.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the charcoal, because it didn't arrive.
Most reviews say it's really good, and I was really looking forward to trying it.
But, like so many other reviews, the delivery was the problem, or lack of it.
The delivery company keeps being blamed, but if you've had that many problems, why wouldn't you use a different delivery company?
I hope these guys get things sorted, because serious BBQ ers are always looking for good charcoal.

Genuinely excellent charcoal but their logistics and customer support is as bad as their charcoal is good. Have been buying consistently since they first opened up in the UK. Rarely have I had a smooth and/or timely delivery experience. Last order has taken nearly 2 weeks to arrive with virtually no updates.
So if you're not in a rush or don't need coal for next weekend's cook, then this is worth the wait but if you need coal delivered in good time then sadly this is not the company for you.

*Latest Update* My order arrived and ,as stated below, the product is A star. I have been contacted by Globaltic again and they assure me that this is a hiccup and that they will strive to deliver a better service. Fingers crossed this was a blip and I will persevere with them as I really like the product*
*Update, I have received an apologetic and sincere email from Alex at Globaltic and they have kindly refunded me. I am not going to close the door on them and really hope they can sort things out.*
The products are 5* however the service is terrible. I placed my order (12390) on 11/05 and am still waiting for it! I have received 2 X copy and pasted emails to when it will be delivered. Really disappointed to say the least and is a real shame that a company who produces great product, hence it being priced at premium rates, cannot offer the service reflective of it's price point. I have used other companies offering similar products and have never been let down so I can't see why Globaltic can't get this right. Like I said the product is great once you eventually get it.

Very disappointed. Order is allegedly with DPD but they're tracking says different. Have been offered a refund, but that hasn't materialised yet.
Ordered some charcoal on a two day delivery (for a family event). Now two weeks later, still without charcoal and very poor response from customer services department.

Globaltic's charcoal is fantastic quality, the best in the business in my view. I have been ordering from this company for the last three years without a problem. Recently they have had significant problems with DPD not picking up or losing packages and it has taken a while to get this issue resolved. The customer support team have been absolutely fantastic in trying to resolve the problem and I am pleased to say that my last order was delivered today. I really hope that customers are not deterred by this temporary delivery problem as this is a business that deserves success. Thank you Globaltic Team

Not had charcoal yet so cannot review it! Ordered 14/May hoping it would be in time for bank holiday weekend. Got in touch 2 days ago for an update and now they say it’s due to be delivered 29/May. Almost feel like if I had not got in touch nothing would have happened.
Order 12497 if need to check. Changed from loyal BigK customer to try this highly rated charcoal, not a great start to the switch!

BE CAREFUL: Terrible service. Placed order on 11th May, DPD 2 day delivery was raised but no product sent to DPD. Raised with customer support who said they were having issues with DPD (I’ve had 3 packages from DPD in the same period with no problems). DPD confirmed they have not received package. On 20th May I’m told I would be a priority order to be sent on 21st May. Chased again today and guess what, I’m a priority to be dispatched this Thursday!!
Save yourself the hassle, go for Big K, at least you will get the product before the summer is over!!

The charcoal is really good quality, but it took longer than expected to solve an issue with my order. It was missing one item, I contacted customer service by email in various occasions. Although it took some weeks, in the end they got back to me and made things right.

I bought the oak and birch charcoal a while ago. Very decent sized chunks. Just done a 10 hour cook for pulled pork on the kamado joe yesterday using the oak charcoal, and was amazed this morning when I seen how much charcoal was leftover and ready to use again. Will definately be purchasing again!
