I worked with Alex for ~6 weeks ahead of my GMAT and had the best experience! The content was curated to my needs and was well-organized, and prepared me immensely. As a mechanical engineer, I've always been strong at math but had been struggling with the time factor - Alex showed me some great ways to restructure and approach quant problems, which ended up being a major game changer. Alex was exactly the tutor I needed. He’s someone who respects your time and tells you the truth upfront. From our third session, he assessed my profile and recommended I switch from the GMAT to the GRE — pointing out that my strong verbal section was an asset, and that I could realistically master the GRE math in 7 weeks rather than spending months grinding GMAT quant. I appreciated the honesty.

Alex was also remarkably flexible on both scheduling and budget, and found a way to make it work without making it feel like a negotiation.

I also have to note that I have a habit of cracking jokes when things get tough, and Alex’s warm but charmingly deadpan reactions became a running highlight of our sessions.

Like most students, I first discovered GMAT Ninja through their YouTube channel. With a ton of free resources on how to decode the GMAT & work through the various problems, I was able to elevate my score. I was especially proud of the 88/90 (99th Percentile) I got in Verbal, a significant increase from what I was scoring previously.

After such a positive experience, I wanted to see if their application consultants would also be able to help me. I can honestly say this was one of the best decisions I've ever made. As someone doing the MBA to double pivot (industry & function), it was very important for me to make sure I was able to convey that my career path til date made sense connecting to what I wanted to do in the future & that I could provide a unique value proposition to an incoming class. James and I invested the proper amount of time brainstorming what the best way to tell that story. I would send him a draft in the evening/night, I would do my day job and when I got back from work, I would have an updated reply with constructive personalized feedback that I would take into consideration before working on my next draft. Once I finally nailed the story, the rest was history.

In the end, I was able to get admission at every M7 & T15 that I applied to, as well as collected over $120K in scholarship money. I do not think either of those would have been possible without working with James, Charles & the rest of the GMAT Ninja team. I am truly grateful the experience I had working with these folks & my only regret is that I didn't work with them sooner.

Bransen was great and helped me increase my score after being stuck at 635 for three straight attempts. GMAT Ninja is able to give structure to your prep, while also providing the flexibility to adapt to your strengths/weaknesses. I think the biggest help for me was that they were able to identify the quant subjects I was weak at and make sure I targeted those subjects to see big improvements.
