Good prices + fast delivery. However, trousers has been previously altered at the waist and therefore didn't match the measurements specified. For the sake of £20 I'll just donate them to charity + call it a risk of ordering secondhand sight-unseen.

I bought a pair of german army gortex scout boots for £22.99 plus £3.99 p+p ordered size 9 which i am they arrived quickly but were a bit small free return i asked them to change them for size 9.5 easy return process 2nd pair arrived quickly great fit very good quality even they graded them as 2 there like new this is the 3rd purchase I have made from them excellent to deal with will definitely buy off again no problem

I am writing this to review my experience of the staff at GoArmy, specifically Matthew.

A few months back I was looking for the perfect boot as I work as a forester. I called the Glasgow office and got a professional, passionate chap named Matthew who immediately took an interest in my quest and went all out to help me. He sent several sizes of the boots I was considering , as it was too far for me to get to Glasgow to try at the warehouse. I was then able to try them all, decide on the ones, return the rest. The result was I bought five pairs of those boots. They are perfect and will last me an entire career for the price of maybe one pair from the high-street.

The main takeaway however was how Matthew made it his own personal mission to go on my shopping journey with me. He understands how important a pair of boots are when you never take them off.

It's not often you come across a guy like Matthew during an online shopping experience, it was a genuine pleasure.

I have no doubt he will go very far because, put simply, he has the right attitude and the right manner. He showed a lot of respect. GoArmy- give Matthew a bonus- or at least a thank you.

Bought a British Army winter sleeping bag in grade 1 condition. Which is supposed to be 'lightly used and fully functional'. I received an item with stains, a broken zip, and most of the velcro closures ripped off. Contacted Go Army to see if they would exchange it. Just got a brief response saying: 'this item was sent in error, you should have received a grade one item and I apologise for the condition your item arrived in. Kind Regards'
That was it! No offer to take it back, refund me, replace it - in short the customer service rep had no interest in actually doing anything. Eventually gave up but don't trust the gradings on items - used means heavily used in my experience.

I wasn't allowed to do a return past the 30 day policy, this was very frustrating, but after some back and forth and en explanation of why I missed the return date, they were very kind and extended it for me as I missed it due to health issues that I was dealing with, they were extremely understanding. I'm very grateful for there kindness and understanding, top guys! Thank you Sam.

Ordered a grade 1, reasonable quality but not grade 1, more likely 2. I ended up keeping it because sending it back wasn't worth the hassle, but I do wish they'd check some of the bits better before sending them out.

I bought a pair of Altberg defender boots and to be honest,I didn’t expect much for the price after checking the price for a new pair.My feet are average width and I went up a size as this brand does run small.They fit nicely.The boots are in very good condition with no damage.The sole is a little worn but not to the point where they need a resole.I’ve used them in the Lake District,gardening and an outdoor event.They’ve been through 5 inches of water and no water got though.The grip is excellent in the mud.Whats not to like about these boots? Quick delivery as well!

Been looking at these on various military surplus sites. Good price and quick delivery. Main bergan as expected regarding condition. The internal frame, side pockets and side pocket yoke were brand new. Purchased other items from this company at the bushcraft show in 2025 and they are friendly, polite and the kit is usually in better condition than you would expect for the grading.
I would definitely buy from them again.

Ordered a pair of altberg defender combat boots ( grade 1 ). Best pair of boots I have ever worn. Massively in to my mountain walking ,every year I would go through a pair of £150 pound hiking boots ,within three months the boots would not be water proof. On the other hand these altbergs are different gravy. Long walks in all weathers on all terrain ,and feet kept warm and dry. For £56 I’m over the moon with them.

Ordered a grade 1 winter sleeping bag and compression sack. Both turned up the next morning in fab condition looking barely used. Very happy with my purchase from Go Army. Thank you.

Boots are sold as grade 1.
Disappointed in the amount of wear. Not grade 1.
The sole needs replacing before they can be worn.
Won't be buying from them again.

Ordered a grade c backpack. Expecting it to have wear and tear that you would expect. What I got was zips broken, innards torn, a hug hole in the top behind the main flap, and just as a bonus, a mouldy banana stuffed into the document compartment. It's unusable.

Best avoided.

I purchased 2 coats which are fantastic condition at a reasonable price compared to other army sales sites.
Also purchased t shirts in green as I couldn't find anywhere else that was selling 3 t shirts at a reasonable price.Also end up after scouring the internet for camo trousers buying from GOARMY again Very good quality, would recommend to anybody, you will be delighted with your order ,also my goods delivered within a week.

This company describes some items as being “Gore-Tex”..but they are actually another brand!..if they were described as “similar material to Gore-Tex”.. I’d accept it.. but they’re not the same thing at all.
I was searching for Gore-Tex clothing.. and was led to the site.. and made a purchase..only to be told afterwards ( when I queried it) that the item was made of “Seyntex”.. which is “only a different brand name” and it’s “Semantics”.. Don’t use a brand name if it’s not the Brand!…No.. A brand is a brand after all!

The items were delivered on time and in good condition.. but their website is MISLEADING!!

Altberg boots with new soles, were exactly as described in the advert the upper are used but in very good condition.

Ordered black deployment bag , arrived with ripped handles, they said i could get it repaired myself and they would knock off 10% , why would I pay to get a bag that should have been skipped repaired, then get charged £4.99 for postage , best avoid, complete waste of time.
