They do not do it the right way

They do not do it the right way! Don’t believe the commercials. Goettl has to have the worst customer service in the industry and I have a maintenance plan. When you call them to leave a message, no one calls you back. When you send emails, no one responds. They install wrong parts then have to find the right parts, and still you can’t get updated with when your problems with your HVAC will be completed. Supervisors don’t respond to your concerns, and their tech teams are the worst I have ever experienced in my lifetime. I have been battling with getting fixed “the right way” ever since I signed up with their maintenance plan. They don't even deserve 1 star, but you have to choose at least 1 star to post a review.

Do NOT use this company for plumbing

Do NOT use this company for plumbing. Do NOT sign up for the monthly maintenance plan. It is a scam. I had an emergency plumbing issue and Goettl was the first company available to come to my house. I signed up for the monthly plan over the phone because I was told I could cancel at any time. HOWEVER, this is not true. You actually agree to a 2-year commitment and if you want to cancel, you pay a significant cancellation fee. We had roots in our pipes, so I agreed to the service. I am now in-debt for 2 years because I opted for the financing program. Due to the excessive price quote for pipe repairs, etc., I got a second opinion for fixing the damage from the roots. My second quote was almost half the cost of Goettl. The second company showed us inside the pipes with their camera and reported damage much less significant than Goettl claimed. This company is only out for your money. I will say, at least the actual technicians are very professional.

Maintanance plan scam

I tried to cancel my membership but i cannot because they said it was a two year contract. I did not know it is a contract upon signing. Please ask before you sign up. They dont really do much maintainace work they jst look for things for you to spend on. My house is brand new and they already found 500 dollar work of work on my ac unit. They say you will get member discounted prince for services, but they dont. They want to charge me 211 dollars for tankless water heater flush, if you call other plumbers, it cost less than 200 without membership. Don't get fooled by this company like i did!

Predatory towards seniors

Grossly overcharged. Found the parts container that the "upgraded" start up Capacitor came in . CSRU2 Hard Start Kit 5-2-1 HVAC Compressor Saver for 3 to 5 Ton Units Pre-Wired Design & Compact Mounting
List Price: $32.99List Price: $32.99 .

They charged me $574 for the part and the 15 minutes it took to install. Seriously unscrupulous operators. Beware and just find someone more honest. I had a subscription maintenance agreement so they just used the access to overcharge me!!

Monthly maintenance plan which is a sales pitch for things that are unneeded and expensive

I signed up for theirv$19.95 per month plan for ac/plumbing. As part of the plan they are supposed to provide preventive ac/plumbing maintenance. It takes 5 months out to schedule a plumbing/water heater flush. When they have done hvac check, they try to upcharge everything including what you don't need. They tried to charge $300 for one pound of refrigerant. I was told when I signed up that I could cancel at any time, however, when I called to stopvthe service I was told there was a $120 charge to cancel. The phone numbers provided go to a call center and you cannot talk to a supervisor at all. I tried 3 different numbers that all went to a call center person that was unfriendly and not a customer advocate.

Reasonable price & Good CS

I had gotten 3 quotes for installation of Electric Hot Water Heater. They offered the most reasonable. Quote person came and answered our questions. Later in verifying a few items, the office customer service was quick to get me answers.
First attempt at installation and we realized we bought wrong size! Zach helped us on right size and we rebought. They very nicely arranged another date for installation at no charge (though wouldn't have blamed them!) The installer was friendly and efficient and once again answered questions and demonstrated items my husband wanted to know. Everything went as planned - no hidden costs. They truly went out of their way to help us with this installation.

One of most unethical businesses I’ve…

One of most unethical businesses I’ve come across in 50 years. First note that they bought Pacific Drain to boost their ratings. And note that many of the recent reviews are written by people that have only written a couple of reviews on this site, meaning they are likely fake.

Our experience and many of the reviews on Yelp tell the same story. Came to fix a clogged toilet and said it couldn’t be fixed, that the main line was clogged and wanted $14,000 to replace. Sent them away after paying an exorbitant $320 for their visit. Called another company and they quickly unclogged the drain at the toilet for $89. I asked them about replacing the main drain since Goettl noted it could fail anytime. They checked and said it should be replaced but no urgency and it would cost about $4500, one- third the quote from Goettl.

So Goettl didn’t fix what we called them for and lied about where the line was clogged. I contacted the BBB, filed a complaint and Goettl did refund the $320. There are lots of good, honest plumbing services out there, but Goettl is not one of them.

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!

PLEASE BEWARE….I called Goettl because my AC wasn’t working like it should .. the tech came out said the blower motor was bad and they are in back order 1-2 months ( peak season this should have been a red flag ) .. so there is nothing they could do to fix it..however he suggested that since my AC is older 10years old I should just have it replaced and the company that installed it did it all wrong .. so I agreed to the new unit as I have 3 young grandchildren newborn,2 and 6 living with me and my Dogs .. so with that being said they replaced it the very next day .. however this has been a complete nightmare the new unit is worse than my old one .. my house has yet to get cool during the day its stays 80-85 degrees it does cool down in the middle of the night .. The communication with this company is horrible .. I had to ask three times for the invoice of purchase .. when I called the first night to let them know it wasn’t cooling they set up a tech to come out he called said it was from the install to give it till morning it was late and there wouldn’t be anything he could do that night.. so called back the next day tech came out said nothing was wrong it was the filters they were wrong they are the white ones I should be using the mesh ones (I’ve used these filters for over 25 years worked just fine on the old AC ) then said it my house is older and probably the insulation.. ok but prior to the blower motor going out in the old unit my house was cool.. and the tech left .. then I call them back again they sent out a tech this tech said the elbow part from the unit to the house was not installed correctly and he couldn’t do anything as this is an install department job.. so called the company back again they send the same tech from the day prior now mind you-the company is not calling and following up with me after now 4 tech visits have been out or called they gave me the install manager to call.. he said nothing he could do as they were booked .. I explained that I have small babies in the home .. he then said he would talk it over with the last tech which has came out twice now and now says I need duct work and insulation and took pictures .. shouldn’t all of this been looked at prior to just jumping on the install of a new AC if this is the case with this new unit not working.. so the install manager calls me back and said he was sending out a portable AC till they can get to this on Monday .. so Monday comes they techs come out and say they fixed the elbow part that was installed incorrectly .. still the issue with the AC is not cooling the house .. call them they say I need to talk to the sales guy because the house needs new duct work and insulation.. I called several times no call back .. so frustrating to say the least .. so I callback to have them come out again as this is just a complete nightmare nothing is getting resolved .. this tech comes out and replaces the thermostat. Well the new thermostat says call for service as it’s not cooling … oh and I also pay for the maintenance plan .. they also didn’t put the sensors on the new unit as this is something that comes with this service.. so now I have yet another appointment for a tech to come out.. when is this going to be resolved.. I have to reschedule work my kids work to accommodate these appointments that are not resolving the issue .. I would never recommend this company for service.. terrible customer service and seems like they don’t care about the customers or fixing any problems that their company has caused .. they have gotten paid so on to the next poor soul to collect their profits.. my next steps are if this doesn’t get resolved is to hire another company to fix this and take Geottl to court for the cost of getting this resolved ..

Broke AC unit, Took Card, Couldn't Fix Anything

The experience started off great. I got them to come look at my AC unit right away and the guy came really quick. Then, the guy hooks up his gauges to my
AC unit but there was a lot of gas escaping while he did this. It seemed to take longer and lose more gas than I've ever seen. He said that it was low on gas. He went up to the attic to check the coils and said that even though he is not sure, it's most likely to be leaking at the coil because the ice was causing corrosion and that there is probably a small leak there. Being that the system was r22 which is 670 a pound, it would be 3000 just to top it off and almost 6000 to fill it from empty. So any repair would be +6000. It was obvious at this point that this guy's main objective was to sell me a new unit. That's what they do to everybody. I asked him for any alternative gas or retrofitting to accept another gas. He repeated the company motto "we do it the right way, not the easy way". The problem with this is I didn't have 13000 for a new system nor could I get financing due to credit situation. I needed a reasonable repair. I had 2000 which should be able to repair a system. He repeated that replacement is the only option. I told him I couldn't. He went into the attic to 'put it back together' and came back to run my credit card for the service call. I paid him the 100, but didn't get my card back. I asked him do you still have my card. He said he gave it back already. Gone. My card is still gone. I've looked everywhere and it has been missing since I gave it to him. Lastly, my ac system was completely broken after he left. It worked when he was here, but after he went back into the attic, it didn't work anymore. So I go see what he did. The plug for the ac was only halfway put back into the recepticle causing it to spark and break going on and off over and over. He obviously thought that if he broke my system, I would be forced to buy his brand new system. He just didn't understand that I can't afford it! Not that I didn't want it, but couldn't get it. So he broke my system, has my card, and even let out more gas taking his gauges off. I'm sure he let it all out. That's how they make sure you buy their AC systems. 'we do it the right way'? No! It's definitely the wrong way. Now I'm even in a bigger predicament thanks to this company. I had to pay them to hurt me. These guys are crooked and don't care about the customer, only their money bags.
