Scammers!!!
I have the same issue as 100% of people who took them time and left reviews.
You are here because of the same reason we all end up on this site...I am sorry, but don't get upset, it is done.
MY ADVICE...
Don't waste your time waiting endlessly for your order... just ask for a refund whey your order is late, few times (as you will not be refunded) and then contact your bank.
You will get your money back, even if you used debit card. You will have proof that items didn't come to you and refund was not issued and you will have an emails of requesting it as proof.

I am reporting this issue to the police and Trading Standards, as this is clearly regular issue with those people.
Due to number of reviews, we can only suspect high numbers of money they might stole...

Avoid!

Avoid!!! Would give zero stars

I have been waiting for an item for nearly 6 weeks since placing my order. Unable to speak to anyone on the telephone and when I finally received a response via email chasing for an update I was informed it would be shipped within 4 - 5 business days. After chasing again my order was cancelled without any explanation.

They may offer competitive prices but it isn’t worth the hassle

Buyer beware - Don't buy

Buyer beware - taken my money and sent no products. No responses advising where my products are. Waiting weeks now. Will have to get my credit card company involved.

Avoid…

I purchased a beauty product and it has not been received. I have contacted the company several times to enquire on a dispatch date with no response. I have requested a refund and again there has been no response and I have not had the refund. I have since contacted trading standards.

Wrong item received

Paid £18 for a hair product. Wrong item was sent. Emailed and emailed. No response. That was about 2 months ago. They tell you not to keep emailing but if they don’t answer this is your only option. Wish I’d read reviews before ordering. Terrible service.

Now four weeks since my order and no goods. Emailed at two weeks but still mo reply.

It is getting near the time to report them to trading standards

Advise do not order from this company

Please note that there are reviews under "Gooseberryshop" and "Gooseberrysalon" for this company in addition to those here. They detail a similar and consistent practice.

Like others have detailed, I ordered £150+ goods from them. As described, I too went through the same process - no communication then when asked what was happening got a Hermes tracking number.

This tracking number was from Shipstation (An app that sellers use to raise a number with Hermes) This is completely meaningless until Hermes are actually given the parcel - so if the tracking continues to say "We're expecting it" - this means the seller has NOT shipped anything.

After this, I contacted them by phone, email, instagram and messenger - 1 nonsensical apology and claim to be raising a new order and no other communication/ action.

This is a stalling pattern.

My bank dealt with this after I contacted the disputed transactions team. If the seller has failed to send the goods and you have made all reasonable efforts to resolve, they will take this up to refund the transaction.

I checked companies house for the company registration and note that it states that there is an "Active proposal to strike off" for the company Gooseberry Shop Limited.

Be warned.

What has happened to you Gooseberry?

I've ordered from this company lots of times and they've been brilliant - until now.

Not so with the order I placed in July.
The payment was taken on the order date, I chased 2 weeks later, finally got a response about 4 days after that. I cancelled my order because the shampoo was needed and there was no indication or communication regarding a delivery date.
2 weeks Iater I receive the product.

I suggest ordering from elsewhere until Gooseberry get their act together, if ever, because your money is tied up and you really don't know if you will ever get your goods.

Gooseberry, you should not hold onto peoples money and you should start communicating!! What is the point in having a phone line that you don't answer and you certainly don't call people back.

I feel privileged to get one reply by email. I assume you are inundated with complaints!
I think people would understand if you communicated, but ignoring us just doesn't work.

Ordered on 21 July and have sent an email and left a voicemail. Not heard a single thing from them 3 weeks later.

Absolutely abysmal customer service. I highly recommend you shop elsewhere

Absolutely the worst online shopping…

Absolutely the worst online shopping site. I was given a shampoo/conditioner that was already expired. When I returned it and sent the proof of receipt there was no reply and I still haven't received my refund after 3 months!!! I just lost money and time for nothing. Rather pay a couple of pounds more and shop from a different site.

I had great expectations of this…

I had great expectations of this company but I have had the same problems as other reviewers…I ordered some hair product on 26 July and two weeks later nothing has arrived. Neither have I received any communication from them. They shouldn’t be allowed to operate in this way!

TERRIBLE

TERRIBLE. DO NOT USE.

Ordered on 6th June. Now 7th August and my order has still not arrived.

I have chased via email and the automatic response says they will respond in 2-4 days and that I should not chase or it will go to the back of the queue!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE!!!

Like everyone else I so wish I had read the Trustpilot reviews before I ordered from this website. The order took 2 weeks to arrive, the package was very badly damaged and the hair conditioner had leaked out everywhere. Part of my order was missing, replaced by something I didn't order. I sent an e mail and photos on 28th May 2021 complaining - I didn't get a reply until 24 June (!). They don't answer the phone at all. They refused to address their error and I have now given up because life is too short to waste it on companies like this. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!

Scammers - please don't be fooled

Ordered a product from their website and now over 30 days later it still hasn't arrived. After 2weeks I chased them by email and got an automated response telling me not to email again or I would go to the back of the queue! At this point alarm bells were ringing. Phoned them and it went to voicemail. I have probably lost my money (tho am trying my bank's chargeback scheme), please don't lose yours. Have reported to Trading Standards

Rip off

Rip off. Take your money and don't deliver or respond. Wish I'd have read reviews before falling for their scam website. Will tell as many people as i can to avoid this company. I've seen some reviews on their website that say "great customer service". They must have wrote their own reviews as customer service is non existant.

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking, ordered hair products, after 2 weeks still hadn’t received shipped confirmation, emailed, waited a week for a response, nothing, they don’t answer their phones, then finally received email saying they had a problem with deliveries, 5 weeks before I received my order, gave them the benefit of the doubt with it being lockdown, however ordered again and exactly the same, I was totally ignored, they may have the better prices but I will never order from such a rude unprofessional online shop again, I would rather pay double - AVOID, I WISH I READ REVIEWS FIRST

I awarded 1 star here, else it won’t allow me to review this company, but it should be 0 stars. I’ve ordered a product over 2 months ago. The product was shipped but never delivered. I contacted the courier, Hermes, which claimed that they couldn’t contact Goosberry to inform they haven’t delivered the product, thus they couldn’t do anything. I contacted the company about 12 times via email and all I’ve received were automatic replies and then a couple of days later, an email stating they’ll look into the matter and nothing else. This was the only customer care email address provided. As per the only phone number provided, they never reply, you have to leave a message and they never call back. I’ve never in my life experienced such as horrendous service and such appalling customer care services, if it could be called like such. Please stay clear of this company, as the promise to save a pound or two is truly not worth it.
