In every European country where I’ve…
In every European country where I’ve worked, there was transparency, only in Portugal is there a lack of transparency regarding the work you’re actually expected to do. Companies abuse job roles, forcing staff to perform tasks outside their scope of competence, engaging in deceptive practices and, on top of that, failing to pay for overtime. And, of course, sometimes they don't even pay the required statutory contributions. The Portuguese goverment agenda is to building a rich society, for that, the rents are skyrocketing and housing prices have reached exorbitant levels that are completely out of line with the minimum wage. People end up on the streets, many lose their jobs, some emigrate (as I did), while others end up homeless, struggling with drugs addiction and mental illness, sometimes even dying by suicide, like my brother due to a lack of proper care. The guilty parties hide within political institutions, spending their time badmouthing one another and siphoning off the European funds intended for the most disadvantaged. The EU often ends up cutting funds, and they end up doing the same to their own citizens, but they don't explain the reaso s for doing that...
