Lovely desk but needed replacement parts
My Brenin desk took 9 weeks to arrive. When it did, the legs didn't fit into the desk top. Customer services are great, very responsive and have arranged replacement legs, but if someone had check it before it was sent, I would have had a useable desk earlier and saved the faff of needing to send the first legs back. It looks like a lovely desk but I don't have the new legs yet to test it out.

A tactile beautiful product
Every time I got in touch with Grain they were excellent as was the beautifully crafted table that finally arrived. I know Grain acknowledge their errors and try to provide the best service they can - where I would look to improve is to give a more accurate/personal update - the automated updates caused more confusion than it solved. The table wasn’t quite the doddle I had hoped to put together (one corner was a bit of struggle to align) but now it’s up - love it - it’s so tactile. Can’t wait to celebrate Christmas around it now!

Great quality furniture that was easy to put together with excellent customer service. Good communication throughout the process, helpful courier service and fast, useful after care service via chat. Really pleased I ordered and will definitely come back for me.

Our beautiful table and bench
We have had our table and bench for a few months now and are absolutely delighted with them both. Every one admires them and comments on the beautiful design. Other comments are ‘Wow the table tops Pink’ chosen after much debate between my wife and I but it fits perfectly with our Grey kitchen. We have entertained our family and friends and are hosting Christmas Day for our family this year so the table will have its first big test. Would recommend Grain to any one. Fab people fab company.

High-quality, solid, tactile furniture
Well made, solid, tactile - simple and effective design, minimalist and handsome. I ordered two 150x75 Brenin desks for a new home office set up plus a shoe rack. They are robust and appropriately heavy, clearly well made with quality wood that i would expect to stand the test of time. Desk surfaces are pleasingly textured. High quality furniture that i would strongly recommend.

My side tables are beautiful, well made products.
My side tables are beautiful and we’re a reasonable price. There was good communication with the sellers, and the tables arrived well packed, and were easy to put together.

Can't fault the customer service
Can't fault the customer service. But ended up with a table that has dents in it. It was replaced twice but still has faults. Then was offered another replacement but it a smaller size. Shame as the table is so nice and my bench is perfect.

I am sorry to hear that your Grain experience has been less than satisfactory, Lisa. Your journey with us has given us food for thought on how we intend to improve our transparency with our customers, regarding the nature of our materials.
The dents come from the natural texture of the oak beneath our lino. The visibility of this can vary from sheet-to-sheet of oak, and this can occasionally not meet our customer's expectations. This is what we are all going to work hard on making more apparent to our customers, as we want to highlight the difference between natural markings and man-made defects.
We are sorry that the change to our sizing has thrown an extra spanner in the works within this situation. 'Customised to the centimetre' has been a part of our offering since the beginning of Grain. However, over time we've found that we can do a better job for the customer and the planet by taking the hard, but responsible approach.
Through the last 6 months of research we've found that there are patterns in the furniture sizes people order. Because of this, we realised that we can provide more value to our customers by offering size variability, based on how people interact with their furniture. Giving the right amount of options, rather than too many.
Having nearly 42,000 possible combinations available in just one product as we did before means it's difficult for us to always be efficient when it comes to how we plan for waste. By reducing this number we can ensure the new sizes we offer will enable us to plan optimal material efficiency to make the most of each sheet of wood and minimise waste.
We really hope that your table continues to be put to good use, for many years to come. If there is any more that we can do to help, or if you have any questions, please let us know.

Great quality and easy delivery
Despite a few hiccups along the way with order dates, incorrect cancellation email etc. the table was delivered on time and is beautiful. The oak looks fantastic and you can tell this is quality. We would definitely recommend getting one! The delivery guys were great too, and I liked that 99% of the packaging was recyclable, and I really loved the way the screws etc. were packaged. Always unsure when purchasing something of this price from a small business without a showroom, but this experience has shown me that I should do this more often. Thanks!

Nested Side Tables
Grain's nested side tables are simply wonderful. Such a great shape, size and beautifully made. I am so thrilled with them.
The Grain team kept me informed both on the telephone and by email of the delay in getting the oak for these tables. It was definitely worth the wait. When the tables were ready to deliver it was easy to track them. So top marks for customer service and communication.

Our stacking tables took quite a lot longer to arrive than estimated but they were worth waiting for. They are very carefully made and seem like very good quality.

Excellent communication though out the buying process and with minor problems I had after assembly which really is very straightforward and probably due to my incompetence… I’m very pleased with my tables, lovely quality and a bit different and just perfect.

Very happy with my nest of tables
Very happy with my nest of tables. Reasonably priced for quality.Perfect for the end of my sofa to use for whatever it just to admire. Would have given more stars but only downside I ordered in July and tables didn’t come until late October. Grain did make me aware of delay and kept me updated.

Ideal for small spaces
The nested tables are ideal for small spaces and the quality and finish is good. Unfortunately the legs of the larger table would not fit in the socket in the table top once they had been bolted together. The recess was too tight. We fixed this by dismantling the legs, fitting them individually into the recess and then bolting them together. An extra 1-2mm tolerance would have made all the difference. Overall we are very happy with them despite the hiccup in construction.

I was looking for quality office furniture - desk and shelves - from a supplier with the right sustainable philospophy and came across Grain.
