We hired a van (Dunnydeer) for 10 days. The van was clean as brand new with lots of equipments already included in the price ! The owner, Mieke, was really kind and explained us everything we needed to know before taking the road. She was reachable if needed (even if everything went fine for us) and there were videos explaining all the technicalities (emptying grey and black waters, filling fresh water...) in case we forgot. Initially it may seem a bit more expensive than the big companies but at the end with everything included, it's clearly not the case and worth it. We recommend working with Grampian campervan as the service was on point and its a small local company.

We used their camping site, which is small, cozy, super clean and well equipped. Kitchenette for indoor dishwashing with microwave and tea/coffee facilities is a highlight

Incredibly welcoming, super clean, flat parking area, you only pay for what you need, and stunning, stunning views. We’ll definitely be back.

Great intro into campervan life. All aspects of the vehicle thoroughly explained at the start. Great vehicle, easy to drive and very comfortable for a week's trip. We had a great time exploring Isle of Skye, Glenfinnan and the Ardnamurchan peninsula. We are looking forward to hiring from Mieke again at some point.

I stayed with Jan & Meike on their campsite for a few days.
What a lovely couple they are. Very friendly and chatty.
The facilities are spotlessly clean. Brilliant hot showers. The rest of the site is similarly well maintained.
I'd definitely stay there again.

So we hired Ben Alder campervan for 6 nights. Well all I can say is we had an excellent experience from the day I booked to handing the van back.
To be honest I'm a bit loathed to tell you how good it was as I don't want them to become too popular. I'll be gutted if I can't get a booking in the the future!!!!! 🫣🤣

We arrived at their site which I can tell you is spotless and obviously well looked after which gives good vibes from the start. Mieke showed us around the van which again was spotless and in excellent condition. The vans/motorhomes are kept in a fantastic barn......I now have barn envy.
The vans are stocked with everything you need so don't bring too much, I brought too much!!
We loved our trip and seeing some other rentals on our journey we realised how lucky we were to have found Grampian Campervan Hire.
Mieke was also on hand via Whatsapp for any questions we had during our journey.
They are a family business and you can tell. Your not just treated like another bum on a seat they really do look after you.
We will be back!!!

Had a great short break in Ben Mac Dui. A lovely clean well equipped van, so easy to drive. Mieke was warm welcoming and friendly. Great tutorial. Would recommend Grampian Caravan hire to anyone.

We recently hired a motorhome from Grampian Motorhome Hire and couldn't have been happier with the experience from start to finish.

From our very first enquiry, the team was friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they made the whole process straightforward and stress-free.

The motorhome itself was immaculate, exceptionally well-equipped, and clearly maintained to a very high standard. Everything worked perfectly, from the heating to the kitchen appliances, making our trip comfortable and enjoyable.

What really made the experience stand out was the personal touch. We were given a thorough yet relaxed handover, which left us feeling confident before setting off. The thoughtful extras, including a welcome pack and local travel tips, made our holiday even more special. We were also provided with Mieke's contact number, giving us peace of mind that help was only a phone call away if we had any questions during our trip.

The site also offers camping in a beautiful, peaceful location that's well off the beaten track. The toilet and shower facilities were spotless and maintained to an exceptionally high standard. When we eventually buy our own campervan, we would happily return to stay there.

Overall, the service was friendly, professional, well-organised, and immaculate. Every detail had clearly been carefully considered, and it made for a fantastic experience.

We were very pleased with our experience hiring a campervan from Mieke and Jan. They were easy to communicate with prior to the hire; Mieke was very friendly and helpful explaining how everything worked, and the van itself was immaculate, so well equipped with nice extra touches. On return, no issues, just a warm welcome back and concern that we'd had s good time. Their premises are spotless and you get the impression this is a most professional outfit we would be glad to use again and recommend to friends.

We were a group of 5 friends renting two vans (Ben Rinnes and Ben Lui) for a NC500 trip and had a phenomenal rental experience with Grampian Campervans. I could not recommend more.

First, the vans are in perfect condition. It is clear how committed Mieke and Jan are to accommodating all types of trips and they have a range of options that they are regularly
updating in response to demand.

Second, Mieke offers a top class customer experience from start to finish and responded to every one of our queries within the hour. This makes the difference vs other rental companies where you may get a tolerable product but with no access to advice/ help when it’s really needed.

Very new campervan stocked with everything you need and plenty extras that other places charge for such as outdoor table and chairs and awnings. Choose to hire from here because the pick up and drop off times were much better than anyone else anywhere near Aberdeen. Website has video guides on how to work everything in the van which is a great touch. It is run by a lovely couple who seem to genuinely care you have a good holiday.

We had a lovely two night stay last weekend in our motorhome with the warmest and friendliest welcome we’ve ever had, and we’ve been about! Our pitch was level with hook up point very close and very nice views over to Tap O’ Noth. The facilities were spacious, clean and comfortable. The weather was lovely so we sat out a fair bit at one of the picnic tables. We used a local Huntly taxi firm to collect us and take us into the town for a couple drinks and they took us back out again, £35 return. Thanks for having us, we definitely recommend and plan to visit again.

We had a fabulous 5 days away in Ben Vane. Two of us and our dog. It was our first time away in a Motorhome and it won’t be our last. The van had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. It was easy to use and was cosy. It’s a great way of seeing Scotland. We stayed at Dingwall Ullapool gairloch and Findhorn and our favourite site was sands campsite near gairloch. Thank you Mieke.

Online booking was easy to use. Collection was spot on. was showing how everything worked. Was so welcoming and friendly. The van its self had everything we needed and was a great time away. Would definitely use again 10 out of 10.

Where do we start .. from picking our van with a smooth online booking - great communication from the owner Mieke . On the day of arrival we was very well welcomed and we was given a complete run through of everything in the camper van from inside out. We have never hired a camper van before and we wanted to see how we would get on and our trip certainly has opened our minds to plenty more campervan days. We was all over the west coast from Huntly to oban to mallaig to Ullapool and into Invergordon and last stop was outside nairn before heading back and departing with Ben Lui camper. She was just a delight to travel In and see all the lovely surroundings . Everything you need on your travels is within the camper with some nice additional games if you settle and chill a while day or night ( we gave battleships a good go most nights ) returning the van was very smooth and we met both of the owners whom are just a delight to talk to. We both highly recommend you to take the plunge and jist go for it. You will not be disappointed. Thank you again Mieke until next time :)
