Great E-Learning Modules
I purchased an e-learning module to gain an understanding of Cyber Security training needs within the company. It was beneficial being able to carry out the e-learning in my own time. The ordering process was simple and the e-learning modules were informative and good value for money. I did have to contact customer services regarding an error I was getting on the website, but the advisor was very quick to respond and helped me in resolving the problem. I would highly recommend.

Self-Pace Course Did Not Prepare Me For The Exam
Having previously achieved various ISO Lead Auditor qualifications by attending courses in person, I thought I'd give web-based / self-pace learning a try and signed up to the 22301 Lead Implementer course with IT Governance. I wish I hadn’t.
Quite simply, the information provided during the course did not adequately prepare me for the exam. It felt like the exam questions were written by a completely different organisation.
Early in the course, during one of the pre-recorded tuition videos the tutor advises you to “pay particular attention to this aspect” by remembering as many of the 22301 terms as possible such as RTO, RPO, MBCO etc, as they are likely to come up in the exam. Based on this I put a huge amount of effort in to memorising these terms, but this was a waste of time because there wasn't a single question in the exam that called on this knowledge.
During the course, you are provided with "Knowledge Checks" and quizzes at the end of each module to test your knowledge of that module. I did these tests over and over again, memorising each question I got wrong to make sure I got it right next time. This was a complete waste of time because none of the questions in the exam resembled the knowledge check questions.
The knowledge checks are the closest you get to taking a practice exam. There is no option to take a mock exam or similar to prepare you for the final exam.
During the exam, I remember one of the questions being to name a particular obsolete standard that was released in a certain year. Since failing the exam I’ve gone back to the course to find this information. That standard and the year of its publication is mentioned once in one slide and is buried among nine other bullet points. There is no particularly special attention paid to this fact, and you are not told that it is an important fact to remember. There are no questions about this standard and its year of publication in any of the knowledge checks. How was I supposed to know that this was an important piece of information to remember over all of the other statistics and figures?
There are very particular requirements to take the exam which you are not made aware of before the course. It's only once you decide you are ready to take the exam and register for it that you are provided with a set of very particular hoops to jump through in order to undertake it. If I was aware of how onerous these requirements were, I would not have chosen this method of study.
Post-exam feedback is non-existent. Having failed the exam, I have no way of knowing which questions I got wrong and what I would need to study to pass this exam next time.
Overall, I’m very disappointed. I haven't given up on the qualification, but I have given up on achieving it with IT Governance. I'll cut my losses and study in person with an alternative provider.
I acknowledge all the positive reviews for IT Governance but I notice that at the time of writing this there isn’t a single other review of the Certified ISO 22301 BCMS Lead Implementer Self-Paced Online Training Course.

We’re extremely sorry to hear of your experience with our Certified ISO 22301 BCMS Lead Implementer Self-Paced Online Training Course. The course content and the exam should both cover the same syllabus, working towards the same learning outcomes.
And you’re right the exam questions are written by two different organisations, otherwise there would be a conflict of interest. That said, as above they should both be supporting the same set of learning objectives and outcomes. Our pass rate is 69.33% which is above average, however we appreciate the exam is still challenging.
Whilst we undertake a review of the course and exam bank of questions in our self-paced course, would you like to contact us to discuss perhaps attending the Instructor-led Live Online version of the course (free of charge) so we can help you to pass the exam?
This version of the Certified ISO 22301 BCMS Lead Implementer Training Course is rated five stars on our website with great feedback from previous delegates. You would need to cover the cost of the exam, this time, however, the exam is proctored live by the trainer using Microsoft Teams.

The course is good
The course is good, with helpful training day and support. The learning guide is very helpful and holds up to date information about ISO27001, however more practice exam questions would be beneficial when preparing for the exam.

Quick and easy to purchase and book the exam. Very good exam experience, plenty of time, helpful support and instant results. I also attended the ISMS Lead Implementer Self-Paced Online Training Course. The content of the course was very helpful and aligned to the standard. It also came with very useful presentation slides!
