Despite being on the TPS and opting out of cold calls I was contacted twice by this company. On the first occasion I informed them that I was not interested and was infact in the middle of serving a customer. Despite this the caller said that they would just like five minutes of my time to discuss and I was foced to hang up. The next day I recieved another call wanting to talk about an R&D claim, I told them I wasn't interested and hung up again. I would be very wary of any company that ignores the TPS guidlines and cold calls on several occasions. And after reading the reviews posted here I would not deal with this company.

Jellyfish called us and convinced as that our company should submit R&D claim. It was the first time we’ve heard about this claim at all. We have agreed first, but reviews on the internet made us cancel before the deadline.
They said it is too late, even when we didn’t confirm until the deadline. We didn’t have a choice just to trust them. They won the submission somehow, but after a few months HMRC informed us that our company is not liable for such a claim and we will have to give back all the money. How did we even win if we are not liable to win??
This jellyfish company took the fee and refused to pay back.
It might be a well organized SCAM SCHEME when they convince people to apply by taking care of the whole process, even when they might know the company couldn’t apply, they still do it, by writing anything just to win and claim the fee. And then you are left with whatever what goes next: Paying everything back (including the fee they took), penalties and etc.

So our advice is to AVOID them at all cost.

Do yourself a favour, DO NOT give into false promises, YOU RUN THE DANGER OF BEING FINED BY HMRC like myself and other companies. Green Jellyfish wipe their hands of it and keep the money they made from the R and D claim. And we are left to pay all the claim back to the HMRC.

Although I was a bit hesitant when I first received a telephone call out of the blue from green jellyfish, the subsequent service and communication received was nothing short of fabulous. I didn’t think our company qualified for R&D but some weeks later we have received a substantial payment from the tax man. Thank you to Charlie and the rest of the team who assisted me in my claims.

One of the worst companies I have worked with...they messed up so badly with the HMRC and then stopped liaising with the HMRC and us (the client)...I was left picking up the pieces with HMRC and it took several months to resolve. I do not trust them one bit...enter into agreements with them at your own peril.

Its a nonsense, don't even waste your time, hardly any R&D claims apply with HMRC and we have gone through the whole process and now facing a stinging bill with HMRC and zero support from Green Jellyfish and little accountability.

Horrific practices. I was assured in writing by S. Jones a Business Development Manager who said: "Our services are, therefore, provided effectively on a no win, no fee basis. We do not charge any fee unless we are successful." My claim was unsuccessful and I am owed more than £31k in fees that I paid to Green Jellyfish.

This is what they have replied: "I understand that at the time of submission, you were told “fees are due on a successful claim”. However, we would like to reiterate that our agreed Terms and Conditions, as outlined in the formal documentation, supersede any verbal or written promises."

This company lies, tricks, deceives and scams you into believing a dream. PLEASE do not use them!!!

Green jellyfish have successfully processed our R&D claim with HMRC 2 years in a row. This year Thomas buttery was helpful in identifying our business objectives and assessing our case for R&D based on a friendly chat about our business and what we do to come to the figure that we could claim back. The percentage that is taken seems high but in the end is good value due to the amount of hassle this is to do yourself, they do earn their fee and the process is thorough enough to ensure the claim is not rejected due to miscalculations etc. They are a professional company and look forward to more successful claims in the future. unable to give zero stars, Green Jellyfish are cold calling companies and telling they can claim rebates for things that you are not allowed to claim for, it even states on their website that Dom care can be classed as R&D, this is misleading, our company has been through hell due to the fact that this company has mislead us and we have made claims that are now being clawed back by HMRC....please read the R&D guidance before you submit a claim, you can not claim for the implementation of systems if those systems are used by other providers, that is not research and development....so many companies are being destroyed whilst green jelly fish are sat on 10m, also their "legal" support is actually a company called Kirby Haslam who represent you when HMRC investigate, are also owned by GREEN JELLY FISH

Incorrect information, unhelpful responses and random calls threatening legal action if "invoices arent paid" when invoices aren't required to be paid unless work is completed in an appropriate way.

I had to contact our accountants with Green Jellyfish and almost everything was done without my help - just great!
