I NEED TO SHUT DOWN MY BUSINESS

Over the past 3 months I have had to struggle and borrow money from family and friends as my electricity bill has tripled!! I dealt with a man called Jordan who put me on a pass through contract. I trusted them as what they were saying sounded legit. Little did I know, they lied to me. I am now looking at options to close down my business as I will not be able to afford this going forward. DO NOT put money into this company’s pocket, they will tear your company apart.

Dealing with James from the beginning…

Dealing with James from the beginning of the process to the end was great, very helpful at looking into our previous bill for our small business, locking in a new 5-year deal at a saving! Would definitely recommend their service.

I live near Green Shift's new office…

I live near Green Shift's new office and they commonly group outside the office blocking the path, shouting and ditching cars on the street.

I saw a man in a wheelchair forced to go onto the road to get past.

Have some more respect for your neighbors, you operate on a predominantly residential street.

EDIT: To add to this, they're trying to report this review to Trustpilot as being intended for another business. I'd imagine they've done this with other bad reviews on Trustpilot.

Avoid. Pushy & Bad techniques

Avoid.

Our experience with Green Shift Energy was one of the worst we’ve had with any company.

Despite repeatedly telling them no, they continued to push, pressure and attempt to wear us down. At no point did they seem willing to respect our decision. Instead, they encouraged members of our team to “just scroll to the bottom and sign” without properly reading the agreement, simply to hand everything over to them. That is not how any professional company should conduct business.

What made the experience even worse was that we explained we were dealing with an urgent personal situation – one of our dogs was at the vets receiving a very serious diagnosis. Rather than showing any understanding or compassion, the response was cold, dismissive and the pressure to sign continued regardless.

A trustworthy company should allow customers the time to read contracts, ask questions and make informed decisions without relentless pressure. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Green Shift Energy.

Based on our experience, we found them aggressive, unprofessional and completely lacking in empathy. We would strongly advise anyone considering using them to read every document thoroughly, never feel pressured into signing, and be extremely cautious.

We will not be using Green Shift Energy and would not recommend them.

The energy procurement process is complex, but Paul made it simple by explaining the available options, highlighting potential savings, and ensuring we fully understood the implications of each contract.

I didn’t want to change my energy at first but he collected my information, gave me real energy live news links with backed up data, to help me understand why I should switch to a new supplier,

6 months later he called to tell me the same thing and now I’m fully fixed with N-Power until 2029.

I dealt with James Hobbs

I dealt with James Hobbs, who sent me a list of quotes to choose from and advised which one he would take, I just got my first bill in and everything he said was going to happen has.

He also deals with any brokers who call me now to let them know I won’t be using anyone else while my business is up and running.

Charity left in tatters

Had a call from Greenshift, very pushy from the outset. We run a charity for disabled children so every penny helps. We eventually spoke to a senior pricing specialist, James who seemed nice at first. He had told us our renewal price had doubled since we had last taken a contract out 3 yrs ago. We were initially over the moon that James was able to get just under the renewal rate and fix for 5 years until we got our first bill. All I can say is WOW!! My monthly amount seemed to triple! I spoke to my energy supplier and was told my contract was fixed for 5 years and James should have advised me of the amount to be paid each month. Im not sure our charity will survive this.

Hi,
After double checking our records, we have never been in contact, quoted or contracted electricity or gas with any disabled childrens charities. We have also never been in contact, quoted or contracted any customer by the name of Darren Jones.
If your experience is genuine I would recommend to make an official complaint, if not resolved then follow up with the Energy Ombudsman, however due to some of the details being correct (we do have a pricing specialist called James) I believe this review to be fake and most likely from a competitor or previous employee.

If this is genuine, we have not been involved in this and would be happy to help resolve for you against another broker/consultancy you have worked with if you would like to provide more details on the charity name and how this has happened we would be able to help raise an ombudsman complaint to cancel the agreement entered into if you have been mis-sold.
