HAB Law supported me through the process of applying for a NMO against my ex partner. It was a very stressful and overwhelming time and I was very anxious about the process and had no idea what to expect or what the process would entail. The staff that managed my case were all amazing! They supported me with the legal aid process and everything from beginning to end. They offered reassurance, compassion and treated me with respect throughout. They explained everything to me very clearly and I felt they were with me every step of the way. Vincent, Gemal and Giti were perfect, they were very helpful, however I was not informed of the consequences of the orders, which left me a bit unprepared in the courtroom. Shanushiya was quite disrespectful to me, never calling me by my correct name, and seemed to prioritise the Respondent’s communication over mine. Furthermore, due to her misunderstanding of the law, she allowed for the respondent to make claims against me, when in the end the judge said what I had said was correct and I should have been given information from the beginning.
Overall I think it is a good law firm, but some of the solicitors can ruin their reputation.

I would highly recommend this solicitor to anyone going through a difficult domestic violence case. From the very beginning, they were professional, compassionate, understanding, and supportive.
