Hartville Pet Insurance Opiniões 

I have had this company for a couple of years and the first time I filed a claim I was completely satisfied. My dog had an emergency surgery and they followed through on their end. Last year I changed my policy to illness and injury and the first time I used the policy was a couple weeks ago. I took my dog in for a hot spot and found out she had an ear infection as well. The total amount did not even add up to the deductible but they would not apply anything because they said that hotspots and ear infections are related to allergies and since my dog has allergies it is a preexisting condition and would not cover anything. I called and spoke to someone and they supported this so I canceled all three pet policies I had with them. Of course when they sell it to you it covers practically everything until you try to use it. This company, like a lot of insurance companies like this, looks for loopholes to not cover what they say they will in the beginning. Do not waste your time with this company. They are another one of those companies that do not follow up on their promises. I tried to file a complaint on the better business bureau and they do not even have a profile. That should tell you a lot. Reached out to customer service last week and have not received a reply yet.

They denied claim for an injury my dog received at end of Jan 2024. They said a previous vet clinic showed a document stating my dog was limping in July 2023. That Vet clinic only has records from Sept 2021 when the spay was done. We have been using a different vet office since then. This is a Scammer company as I purchased it through ASPCA, but Hart Ville Group is the underwriting company. They will be getting sued.

I am very satisfied with Hartville. I've submitted a few claims and they make the online process very simple and the response time was great.
Did not take long at all.

I just purchased a new Chesapeake pup and the breeder suggested I purchase health insurance. This is my fifth dog over the past 35 + years and first time I have purchased pet insurance. Hartville seemed to be a good plan at a reasonable price. First vet appointment is next week so I will be able to give it a test run then :)

So this is a first for pet insurance and I was looking months ago but they were so expensive and I didn’t understand a coworker told me about hartville and I looked into it and I must say vary impressed 39$ a month for mg baby girl with preventative we shall see if it goes as smoothly as it seems so far I hope this helps thank you

We have been clients of Hartville Pet Insurance for over 15 years since our first little Bully, Abby, completed our Family. You have been Amazing! It's not necessarily about the speed of completing our claims (which are also Amazing - usually within 2 weeks!), or the price of your policies (which are very reasonable), but you have been there for me during some of the worst days of my life!

When we lost Tilly, we were devastated. She meant the world to us. Within a week after I made a claim, I received a call from Hartville. I thought they were calling to deny our claim. When I answered the call, this beautiful woman talked with me for almost an hour, asking me to tell her about my Sweet Tilly. She listened to all my silly stories about our Baby Girl. She never even brought up my claim. All of a sudden, I realized she was calling to walk me through my grief (I'm crying right now just thinking of her kind gesture.) After speaking to her for almost an hour, I learned that she had just recently lost 2 dogs herself! She let me go on and on about my loss without even mentioning hers! She was going through the same grief, times TWO, just a month or more before me. That's not just Customer Service, that kind of empathy and kindness went above and beyond what I needed that day!

So, to say I'm happy with Hartville is an understatement! As long as we have a pet, we will continue to insure our Pups with Hartville.

Reasonable amount of time to receive claims.

First of all, my experience only includes the ease of creating an account. My dog's insurance doesn't go into effect until January 4, 2024. I really can't report on anything else.

Very easy to sign up.
Thankfully I haven't needed to use it.
I do keep getting emails for me to join but I already did. I sent an email trying to settle this and I thought it was settled but I am still receiving emails asking me to join. Please stop sending me emails asking me to join.

Availability, politness, professionalism.

The coverage was good and will benefit my two kittens. The price was good compared to other pet insurance companies.

They are always here when I need them. I have 3 trouble maker dogs all with Hartville policies that helps us through the hard times. From cancerious lump removals to ear infections they have covered all our emergency costs to insure our dogs are able to get the best care without us having to worry about the bill.
