In my view HarveyRhys provide a service that is second to none. I am able to get an appointment when I want one and I am always made to feel welcome and valued. Dr Coogan takes the time to explain issues clearly, hence I feel both reassured and confident that I am being understood and helped appropriately. I feel very lucky to have found HarveyRhys. A highly professional and efficient service
I'm a relatively new patient at the clinic, but I have found all the staff that I have come into contact with to be highly professional and efficient. They also have a warm and friendly attitude, which is quite unusual in today's world. My Health Review was very comprehensive and informative and Dr Steve was extremely patient and helpful at the time of my review. All very impressive.

HARVEY RHYS V GP PRACTICE
The big difference between the harvey rhys clinic and a normal gp service is:
In the HR clinic I am a person where as in a normal GP practice im nothing more than another NHS number.
The quality of service is outstanding and knowing that the doctors and staff have taken the time to study you and your medical need certainly makes them the place i want to be when feeling the need for help !!!

Dr Steve and the whole team have been very professional from the first day we went with our newborn daughter. Thankfully, he took the time to actually go through everything with her and explained all the issues we were going through at the time in great detail so, we understood what was going on. we were so grateful for the time given and cannot thank him and his team enough

Remember family GP's ??
Remember the days when some of us had a family GP who took an interest and you felt like someone was trying to help manage your health?
The NHS is becoming an emergency only service. They simply have not got the time or resource to spend much time with patients. Its not their fault, the population are living longer, have chronic conditions as they age and the NHS have to focus on critical illnesses. Covid accelerated the already resource constrained service to crisis point and it has not recovered.
With this clinic, it has been set up to try and do it in a better way. All of the staff and doctors are first rate and the clinic is run in a very caring and efficient way. I have no criticisms at all!
My own view is that this type of clinic will become more commonplace over the next few years but Dr Coogan has had the courage to jump in and have a go and his diligence and attention to detail is appreciated.
I hope the clinic goes from strength to strength.....

5⭐️from me. Dr Coogan has been the first ever GP who listened to my health concerns & actually worked towards getting me the diagnosis I’d suspected for many years. I’m a business woman & working mum, efficiency with appointments are a necessity. At HarveyRhys I’m given an appointment on the same day & what’s more I get to chose how long appointment I require. The reception & admin staff are trained exceptionally well, they are accommodating and professionally proactive, consistent & conscientious. The nursing dept are thorough, kind & empathetic. There is a strong caring 360’ thread throughout and I am extremely glad I made the decision to seek out Dr Coogan after he left his former NHS practice.

There are two scenarios when booking…..
There are two scenarios when booking an appointment with your doctor.
Either,
phone at 8.00am hoping you beat all the other callers and you are early enough to book for today knowing that you might not be lucky and have to repeat the process tomorrow at 8.00am, or the next day.
Or
Phone anytime of the day knowing you can see a doctor today or tomorrow.
Which would you prefer?

An Alternative Solution
I am a great fan of the NHS and have paid in my contribution for over 40 years, but at the moment it seems to be failing me and at 80 years of age I havn't the time to wait to see if it gets better. So, I opted to sign up for 12 months with HarveyRhys and I have not been disappointed, Being able to discuss health issues with a doctor at short notice, both face to face and by video-link is a delight and a pro-active response makes it even better.
I would certainly recommend this service if you feel you need medical help and seem to be struggling to get it from the normal channels.
