Can't speak highly enough of our dealings with Dermot. Contacted him asking about fitting two hearths, he visited that evening and we chatted through what we wanted, what he recommended etc. Dermot was professional, knew exactly what he was on about and reasonably priced. Booked in and work started shortly afterwards. All very friendly, genuine and done to a phenomenal standard. The slates are perfectly matched, super neat and clean workmanship, the gas work done properly and we're over the moon with the result. Can't recommend Dermot highly enough – just exactly what you wish you get when contracting a service, great communication and just faultless. Wish Dermot could do all of our home – every time we walk in the rooms we just grin.

I was recommended Dermot by the builder who is converting my conservatory and I’m so glad I took his recommendation. From the first assessment until the job was finished the professionalism was first class. He was prompt, informative and extremely courteous. The price quoted was extremely competitive compared to some other quotes we’d been given but without having to cut corners on the standard of product/ materials/workmanship provided. We are so pleased with not only the fitting of the log burner which looks great but the hearth stone, tiled chamber and oak mantle looks fantastic and just what we had envisaged having prior to the work commencing. I was most impressed by Dermot’s attention to detail especially when it came to the safety of the fitting of the burner and flu. Overall a job excellently done by Dermot and Oliver

Dermot was recommended to us to install a new log burner, oak beam and all the other things that go with it. We had constant fantastic communication as well as professionalism and friendliness throughout from the first communication to after the install. I can’t thank and recommend enough.

Dermot was recommended to me by a good friend of mine and I can honestly say he is be tradesmen I have used without doubt, From the initial phone call he promptly attended my property and a quote was sent the next day, Communication was spot on and he even gave me great advice and helped me to pick the right log burner for me, On the day of the work Dermot an Oliver turned up on time, The work was carried out to the highest standard from start to finish and the end result has far exceeded our expectations, i would highly recommend Dermot to anyone and he is a true gentleman.

Dermot went to a lot of trouble and did much pre-install research to enable me to have the stove I wanted which was fantastic. On the day, he and his team worked quickly and very professionally always checking I was happy with everything. Did a really thorough clean-up too! Would highly recommend.

After having tried 3 other companies who were not interest, Dermot visited, recommended the style of wood burner to suit our need and arranged a suitable date for fitting. The finished job was excellent and far exceed our expectations. We had just had new carpet fitted and we were nervous about the possible mess, when they arrived they covered everything and removed all waste. It is difficult to express how please we are with the finished job. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Dermot replaced our fireplace and fire. We were very happy with the work done. Dermot and Oliver worked very hard, were very professional and everything went to plan from the initial quote through to the actual work being carried out.
We would recommend the hire of a mini-skip as Dermot doesn’t remove the debris, however it is left in rubble bags.

Dermot and his team arrived at the time promised to fit my new classic eco gas stove and like a well oiled cog the process started within minutes. Dermot and his team have recently fitted the wood burner I took with me from my previous home to my new one. Nothing was too much trouble, even picking up the burner from my previous home and I am absolutely delighted with the job. The team are extremely efficient and just get on with the job straight away, everywhere was sheeted up and left clean and tidy at the end of the day. The guys are so friendly and polite, it’s a pleasure to have them in the house. Dermot is a perfectionist and this shows in the end result. Dermot from heat matters has completed the fitting of a false chimney breast double lined chimney flue and log burner and couldn’t be happier!!!!….From our first point of contact until completion, today, we couldn’t fault him and his small team. He is a true professional craftsmen who are very few and far between these days. He gave us a quote which we were delighted with, the quote never deviated, no add ons or extras which is always a worry. The team were punctual, considerate and friendly even with our 3 dogs in tow. I would have absolutely no reservations in recommending dermot and heat matters to anyone!!!!….Thank you dermot for transforming my living room the end result is nothing short of stunning!!!!

Called this Dermot person & discussed what work i needed doing. He said he will pay me a visit the following week. I got no contact from him so texted him to ask if he was coming to check things out. He read the message and didn't bother replying back. So annoying when incompetent/unqualified people are not courteous/brave enough to respond back stating they cannot carry out the work. Why waste my time?! Just flippin' be straightforward with me so i can seek assistance from someone else!

Had my log burner fitted today and I’m absolutely over the moon with it. Dermot from heat matters really knows his stuff. I have never met such polite and professional tradesmen. They turned up on time and just got on with the job. All 3 guys were amazing. They left my room spotless and even give me a demonstration of how it works . Dermot also provides kiln dried logs at a really good price , and he does servicing of fires and chimney sweeps . I would definitely recommend Heat-matters for their professionalism and politeness. Excellent from start to finish couldn’t be happier. Had a damp problem in chimney breast plus wanted a stove fitted and chimney opened up. Reliable friendly and professional would highly recommend to anyone. Cleaned as they went everything kept tidy and the job they did is second to none really pleased couldn’t be happier with the work they have done, first class!!!
