Far better than Sparx Maths. HegartyMaths wasn’t great, but in comparison to Sparx, no complaints. Wish they brought it back.

Good until Sparx got them. Now its broken and boring.

So, Hegarty is now actually part of Sparx Maths.. and I can't place a review for Sparx. so I will leave this review here.
This website is terrible. It is supposed to "build confidence" but it really just brings anxiety and stress to school students instead, as well as making them hate mathematics as a subject with their entire living. This website is so abyssmally bad that I don't get how its still up.

Probably the worst thing to even come from this homework website is the idea of "bookwork checks" just so they can have an excuse for children to write out their answers on a sheet of paper.
Not only is it a waste of time, but it's also utterly useless. It doesn't benefit anything, it doesn't even properly encourage working out the answers to the questions. And even if you fail the check, all you get is just MORE checks. Like most people actually do not care about them, let alone like them.

Another think it does is expect students to get EVERY single question on the homework right to complete it, and if you get it wrong, you are encouraged, (or rather, forced) to watch an annoying video with some 'teacher' trying to explain how to solve the question, but it literally just tells you the method - which is probably confusing, or even worse, not even telling you how to solve the question. Getting it wrong three (it used to be 2) times will cause the question to change, so you have to start all over again, wasting more time on the homework and probably end up getting it wrong AGAIN. Atleast it now has the ability to skip questions now... But you only get 3 skips and you also have to watch the "help" video to get the skips.

Also, not only do they force you to get 100% correct, but it expects everyone to answer (the majority of) these questions without calculators, but there is no actual punishment for actually doing so, AKA, it's just lying. Students are still probably going to use calculators, AI and other technologies to solve the questions for them.
Maybe if the homework wasn't so bad we would be bothered to actually work out the questions like they expect.

But that's not all! the amount of questions in each homework are absolutely abyssmal (40-60 on average) and that's just too much for a homework website everyone hates.
And especially since it is an hour's WORTH of homework. Like, the amount of school work we have to do, as well as homework really stacks up, doesn't it?

Also, the website will add constant and useless updates that won't really do anything instead of actually having useful updates. There is no point of it. Like, what is the point of an update that changes how XP functions when you don't acknowledge the pleas by people to fix glaring issues to the website (The bookwork checks and no dark mode as an example.)

Speaking of XP, it is even more useless than the bookwork checks. I understand that it's meant to encourage students to do the homework, but there's no real gain for it other than leveling up and a useless virtual leaderboard. And if you finish the homework, you also get 'extra XP' for the more passed bookworks checks and less questions swaps used...
You get less XP for the more you struggle on questions, basically. That's just not funny.
Also, you need to finish each section completely to even get the XP. So if you struggle on 1 question but finish the rest, you get no XP for the section.

This website seems to exist only for the suffering of school students and I have had it with this website. If there is a way to get it shut down then I will do it.

Sparx maths

Please make it be easier for a dyslexic person because there is no read out loud button. The algerithm is really bad because it makes you do questions you cant do even with the videos you still can't do it. And on the times tables make more than just rapid fire rounds. And not to mention the unreasonable bookwork checks.

to all your developers i don't see the point in this the videos only cover the easiest bits and like why do you need to complete 100% to have it submitted? i miss maths on paper. if u dont discontinue sparx people will come and skin ur family if u dont understand lord help us all

Sparx Maths is a torturous labyrinth of intellectual despair, meticulously crafted to drain every ounce of motivation from your soul. Each problem is a Sisyphean task, rolling the boulder of logic up a hill, only to have it crash back down with a cold, merciless “Incorrect, try again.” The interface is an abyss of tedium, designed to ensnare you in an unrelenting cycle of monotony, where every misstep feels like an affront to your sanity. It’s not merely a waste of time—it’s a calculated assault on your patience and willpower, leaving you adrift in a sea of futile equations, with no hope of escape.

sparx maths made me want to spit on it and all who help to create it. Sparx math is worse then the German invasion of Poland in 1939 on 1st of septemeber it is worse then all the national disasters ever never use it if you use you are helping to support a evil organisation that might as well be added to he united nations list of major security threats as sparx makes people more angry aka they become supremacists dont use it save your self and your country.

Hegarty is good Sparx is not the two online maths homework companies which are massive rivals there is only 1 winner and that is Hegarty Maths Sparx jut makes me cry otherwise when I am told about hegarty it is good this is why I give it 3 stars

This man is worse than a thousand gingers, he sucks the lives out of many innocent children for a laugh, not only does he rip the life and soul out of innocent citizens, but he is also a raging crack addict, Colin Hegarty, if you are reading this, rethink your actions. But no, that’s not all, I have seen this man walking around with his 10 vapes in one hand and his bottle of pure alcohol in the other which he will probably drink then use to beat his infant children untill they finish the 90 question trigonometric algebra questions he set with a span of 5 minutes to complete. I feel awful for his wife, as she must be a victim to hegartys devious plans. Colin Hegarty, if you are reading this, feel ashamed of yourself, then please erase this disgrace of a website you have created to torture souls, I feel degraded just knowing you exist. You are nothing but a foul, bland, awful monkey.
