As a female I have often felt unheard, not believed and even tangible health issues that are visible have been brushed off. This is a family-run practice with mainly male doctors and female receptionists. There is rarly a female doctor to be seen.
I have to be persistent to get a referral, and the GPs talk amongst the services where I don't get any further service. I had to pay a private doctor to treat an issue which was very visible but brushed off by the main GP.

Wes Streeting, former UK health secretary mentioned medical misogyny, and I can only underline this. My partner (male) gets much better service and faster referrals. I will be changing to a different GP after doing a lot of research first.

I have been a patient for many years in this practice and have always felt patronised, disrespected and not taken seriously. The main GPs father and son Dr. Arora Snr and Jnr have always come across bored, not taking me seriously. Today was the last drop.

The receptionists always had a laugh, chatting while the phones were ringing off the hook.

I have PTSD and have avoided this practice for these and other reasons. I will drop before going there again.
