Its lawless when comes to vunerable children.
Never answer phone keep you waiting least over 30 minuites then just cut you off.
My 2 neices has not been to school for 3 years now they doing same to my nephew
Their SEN in irtually non existent
Social care dont keep within the law instead threaten you with care orders and make false allegations when you make complaints.

I have Recently been sent a parking fine, not picture evidence in the letter that came through whilst I was away.

Finally managed to access the link that didn’t work several times to see one of my rear wheels in a small yellow box in bishops Stortford town centre.

The cause as clearly visible in the pictures is where the traffic in front of me was moving (no brake lights) as we travelled through the green traffic light a motorbike broke causing the car in front of me to temporarily brake for a second causing ONE of my tyres in be in the yellow box for seconds.

After being pushed about the phone system being fobbed off with texted links I finally spoke to someone after a 1 hour and 48 minutes wait on hold.

I raised an appeal after receiving legal advice from Nocholds solicitors, only to be told by Hertfordshire traffic enforcement I was too late now to appeal.

I am now paying £105 as I have no other avenue to go.

These are the cowboys we pay our council tax too who just do their best to take and take where ever possible.

We had very good experience with a new social worker call Laura she very helpful restoring my confidence in adults social care i was so anxious at first to talk to her but after a few minutes I felt comfortable talking to her .she so helpful I do wish all social workers is like I know it is hard work she treats you like humans she was very upstanding person and caring you could see she was not in for the money is because she care God bless you Laura

A Warning for Families

I am a father who had to leave the UK with my young child to keep her safe. We are now safe abroad.

For years, I reported serious concerns about my child's safety to Hertfordshire Social Services. I provided clear evidence. My concerns were ignored.

The evidence I have includes:

· A letter from the local authority confirming a serious incident in the same household.
· Admissions of neglect.
· Recordings of children describing harm.
· Documents showing I was not given fair treatment.
· Independent officials abroad who said I did the right thing.

The system did not protect the children involved. A child was harmed. My own child was harmed. The institutions meant to protect children instead protected themselves.

My child is now safe and happy. But I will not stop until the truth is known and accountability is served.

Journalists have been contacted and more will be shared to protect other families.

My identity, my child's identity, and the identities of all others involved are protected at all times.

The public has a right to know what happened. A system designed to protect children failed them.

I have clear evidence. I will continue to speak out until the truth is known.

This has to be the worst run county council under liberal democrats adult care services under councilor Symington has the worst reputation and offers low quality service she is the leader of dacorum council so is doing to many jobs and being poor at both .

One star for not enforcing fines for littering especially in local parks during hot/busy periods. If people are too stupid or selfish to pick their litter up and take it home, they should be punitively fined. How about traffic wardens doubling up this work during the summer months rather than walk around aimlessly. The message will get out after a few £1000 fines.

I have had a long-running dispute with Cllr. Ken Crofton and Hertfordshire County Council about the yellow-lining of the narrow road behind our property. Parking there has caused persistent damage to our property, which we have had to repeatedly repair at our own expense. The Council's actions in permitting this parking constitute a breach of section 130 of the Highways Act 1980, i.e., for failure to provide a highway - due to the inability of large vehicles to pass parked vehicles without mounting the verge, and also to encounter significant problems in attempting to turn into or out of our side-street.

The date below is arbitrary - the problem has been going on for many years, and the initial request for yellow-lining was made to the above-mentioned Country Councillor in 2018.

You can see the problem on Instant Google Street View. For instance, if you: (i) place 'SG2 7EU' into the search thereon, then (ii) rotate the view so that the red arrow points up and the white arrow points down, and then (iii) press the lower arrow 12 times, i.e., until '14, Aston End Road, Aston, England' is shown, you can see that large moving vehicles are required to squeeze past the parked vehicles on the narrow Aston End Road in order to pass and also to turn into our side-street (St. Mary's Close). Since its insertion in 2022, the black ball-and-chain fence protects our land from being damaged, although this fence itself has since been damaged many times, and we have had to repair it at those times at our own expense (as we did previously with damage to the verge and corner - which are now behind the ball-and-chain fence).

I spent around 2 hours in CRADLEY trying to find a road called Finchers Corner, I asked numerous residents with everyone saying they had not heard of it.

After nearly 2 hours I asked a lady who looked on her phone to no avail, then she asked me to follow her back out onto the main road and up to another junction which she turned into, she said I think it might be here and left, I drove a short distance and noticed a road with no name, I went down and knocked on doors with a man saying he knows the person I was after and gave the number, second go and the door opened and it was the person.

What ignored me was the fact the Council had not put name signs on it, I complained to them and as usual no reply and a fob of, NOT A VERY GOOD COUNCIL.

Sorry got my facts wrong, it’s NOT this Council but HEREFORD COUNTY COUNCIL, Apologies for my error.

Not much to say honestly

What do you actually do linked to highways basic maintenance. Clearly not a lot as you only have to manage contracts and you aren't even able to ensure that the basics are completed (keeping the kerbside and drainage clear of debris). For just highways maintenance £100 million of tax payers was allocated for 2025/2026 and the basic maintenance isn't even being performed, yet along any improvements to the ageing highways infrastructure. The money must be going somewhere though, but not where its supposed to and there is no independent auditor to audit any spends.

I feel I have been betrayed by my own home county .. I feel hertfordshire county council mainly and Hertfordshire police and social services for my home county of hertfordshire not just betrayed me but let me down by not protecting me as a child as a teenager and as a vulnerable young adult when I faced utter hell as a child as a teenager and as a adult when I want answers they refuse to give me answers so now there’s more questions than answers now .. and Hertfordshire police have caused a lot of heartache and hurt too .. but there betrayel to my past experiences… hertfordshire county council made it clear that they will no longer communicate with me on my subject I want answers too so it shows they don’t care but sweep it under the carpet like hertfordshire police do too lots of bad cops there and council workers that I no longer at all trust or respect,.. Hertfordshire county council have caused nothing more then heartache and pain …

Regarding herts pension. She listened so well and was super helpful and thorough with the explanation. Showed good care and empathy.

I have been raising the same issues for over a year, both on my mother’s behalf and as her primary carer, yet my complaints have never been properly escalated and have repeatedly been treated as new complaints. Requests for reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010 were ignored, and only reluctantly addressed after I pressed the matter a second time or more.

The manager, Richard Stenhouse, and the Council’s legal team have failed to provide the support and services required, including essential care provisions and other necessary services, leaving me in a position where my responsibilities as a carer have been undermined and obstructed, causing significant stress and affecting my and my mothers health including physical injury to her Hip.

Their handling of my case demonstrates clear discrimination, including taking advantage of my mental health and dyslexia, failing to make reasonable adjustments, and showing disregard for their legal obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and care act.

I have now fully exhausted the Council’s complaints process and have initiated the Pre-Action Protocol under the Civil Procedure Rules. Given the Council’s repeated failures and obstruction, this is now a matter for the courts to address.

This experience highlights a concerning pattern in which Hertfordshire County Council’s Adult Care managers and legal teams, led by Richard Stenhouse, fail to treat vulnerable individuals and their carers with fairness, respect, or accountability, effectively discriminating against those who rely on their services.

I must express my deep frustration with Hertfordshire Council. I urgently need to transfer my daughter, and it has now been an entire week of going in circles. Each time I contact the Council, I am told I must apply through the website. I do so, only to be told in return that I should contact the schools directly. When I contact the schools, however, I am informed that none of them have any places available.

I honestly do not understand this process. I recently moved from Horsham, where the Council there was efficient and genuinely helpful — everything worked smoothly. In stark contrast, I have been here just one week, and I am already caught up in this endless back-and-forth.

At this point, I do not know what else to do, and I find the situation utterly exasperating.

WSe are absolutely devastated that we purchased a house in a cut de sac and pay high council tax every month without fail and to Broxb our Council too, and the wall from our road and the main road went down in storms in. November and been left without a wall. No one will take responsibility not even proprietors of the wall. We have contacted our local MP and he hasn't been able to help us. We have exhausted all avenues and tried so hard with letters constant phone calls , we are so ill and sick to think that they came to us when it went down com plaining about our wall which had been weakened by their wall. We were ordered an d threatened to knock our wall down and Reb build it and we are elderly pensioners had to rebuild our wall so did our neighbour opposite. But still nothing n o response from them at all. We feel we are on a building site now for over 7 months. Who do we turn to n ow?? we have tried everything. T^his is disgusting all they do is the roads that don t n need doing yet they won't rebuild the wall. We are in desperation its mad us ill. Please help us if anyone e out there can.Tried Alice Beer on Tv programme This morning but nothing yet. This is absolutely disgraceful . Please someone help us if you can .

On 13 November 2024 the council issued a Stage 2 investigation relating to my complaint that it failed to provide advance signage of a major road closure on the M1 motorway Watford exit. This directly added over 30 minutes of delays to me and hundreds of motorists. The council's investigator claimed there was such signage, but was unable to provide proof. Following a Freedom of Information enquiry, the council's own highways team admitted no such signage existed. When I provided the investigator with this evidence and asked for comment, none has been received. Draw your own conclusions on the independence or otherwise of this council's approach to complaints.

Asked for help from the adult disability team and I’ve been waiting several months for just a copy of my report and all I get is we are sorting it but yet my OT is always apparently ill or on annual leave never in the office, the deputy manager same thing but just annual leave and the manager does not listen when your report the issue or ask for a new OT they say they want to help but don’t offer the services they say they do and have caused more harm on my mental health than they have helping me with my mobility issues they are rude and take advantage of your medical requirements and do not meet my needs and the do not have procedures in place to support this needs
