No Refund

They did not inform me that a credit card was needed and only told me after I had paid.

I requested a refund and they told me they could not refund me for 30 days.

More than 30 days has elapsed and they are refusing to give me a refund.

They are thieves that will steal your money - do not go with hertz under any circumstances!

Booked a Specific Car‼️Got Anything But That‼️, Every Time… Terrible

I’ve used Hertz UAE several times in the past six months , only because they list the BYD Han, which other companies don’t have.

Despite booking this specific model and notifying them days in advance that this is the only reason I’m choosing them, I have three separate times been given completely different cars. Once it was a 4x4 that cost me significantly more in fuel. Another time it was a vehicle not even worth half the value of the BYD Han.

Customer service is worse than the car swaps. You call, you email, and you’re told “the concerned department will contact you.” That department appears to be a ghost team — they never call, never follow up, and never resolve anything. Getting refunds or charge clarifications? Nearly impossible.

There is zero transparency and no proper system in place. In such a competitive market, this is shocking.

If you want to waste time, money, and add stress to your trip, this is the company to book with.

Money deducted, vehicle still not delivered

Yesterday i paid online and booked rental for AED 1412, soon after online payment, the site showed error and my amount was deducted from bank. I called the bank and got the auth code and shared via mail to hurtz reservation team. Till now, they are not responding and asking me to wait, until their concerned dept. get in touch with me. Very poor and bad service. Kindly requesting Hurtz top management call me immedialty for further assistance. 0543093554

Arrived to hertz office in abu dhabi mall on 31 jan2026 at 7 pm, hertz emplyee was not there until 7:30 Waiting for him to show up.. in addition very very slow and careless service for completing the paper work to take a rental

Disappointed by the long waiting time.

I rented a car from Hertz in Dubai and, during the rental, everything went well.
I was treated politely by the staff, and I have nothing negative to say about the vehicle itself.

However, after the rental period, I have been extremely disappointed with the post-rental follow-up. Despite multiple contacts and reassurances that my case was being reviewed, I have been waiting for a definitive response for a long time, without any clear update or resolution.

While the service during the rental was good, the lack of a timely and concrete response afterward has significantly impacted my overall experience.

I have been waiting for my issue to be resolved for about 3 months, but I have not received any response. I rented a car from the Hertz branch at Abu Dhabi airport between May 20-30. I received 8-9 different traffic fines for this car. The fee for the last fine could not be charged because my credit card changed. I have been sending emails and calling for months, but I have not received any response. My credit score has dropped because my identity information shows that the debt has not been paid, and I am having trouble renting cars. The only reason for this is that Hertz has not responded to me for months.

What is terribele car rent this is!After standing more than a hour in line, they did not have the SUV only small car. I had 4 suite case and a wheelchair, I booked a SUV and they told me, no we do not have this.You can cancel/refund but that did not help, other companies ask double when we standing there.
After 3 hours we get a small car and drove twice to the appartment. All was so bad never in my life I rent a car at Hertz Dubai.

Disgusting Customer Service

First we arrive at Hertz, I have a reservation for 21.00pm 23rd December, I only get helped at 22.45pm almost a 2 hour wait.. ontop of that the car inside is durty and no one there seems like they want to work or assist there clients.... I get a car which is supposedly Full cause the needle is on the full line, 440km to go, when I go to fill the car its at 565km till empty, and the inside dash is full of dust, and was informed to have the car washed before returning it. I arrive to depart back home 3rd December, no one is there to assist or direct you to where you have to leave the Car, then to be shouted at By some Guy who I assume must be in charge, with no customer skills. YOUS are the cheapest and I understand now why, cause your service towards your customers is disgusting. The only reason for a 1 star is cause of the price to rent, that deserves a star but you Employees need some serious Customer Relations training. Its Disgusting how yous handle Customers i guess its just Money for yous.. I Seriously cant believe that you have such ill mannered Staff, and The attitudes of your employees Seriously needs to be worked on.

HORRIBLE NEVER GET A CAR HERE

In my experinces,dealing with Hertz feels like dealing with a company that has completely forgoten what customer service even means.The disorginisation,the shrugging of problems,and the constant back-and-forth just to get basic issues handled can make the whole process exahusting.It often feels like the customers are left to clean up the companys own mistakes---whether its messed-up reservations,suprise fees,or staff who seem unintrested in helping fix anything.

What makes it worse is the sense Hertz cares more about polishing its image than acctually improving what customers go through.Some people walk away from terrible experinces only to be nudged to leave glowing reveiws,as if a 5 star rating magically erases the frustration.It gives the impression that the company is chasing good publicity instead of owning up to its problems.When a buisness focuses more on optics than honesty,it leaves a customers feeling used rather than valued fix your stupid ahh dealership

Terrible experience we booked to…

Terrible experience we booked to collect a car at 11:00 pm from terminal 1 it took 1.5 hours to process the paperwork and then the car had to be driven from terminal 3 and it wasn't even the car we had originally rented. Honestly it's negatively impacted our holiday as it's started very poorly.its simply unacceptable that it should take 45 minutes per customer to process paperwork and that you don't get seen in your allocated booking slot.

Renting from this company was a…

Renting from this company was a terrible decision. I returned the car in excellent condition, with no scratches or damage whatsoever. I even made a video of the car during return, which I unfortunately deleted later.

Despite this, I was later charged 1820 AED for alleged damage to the front bumper — something I strongly dispute. It felt like a scam, but I agreed to pay only because my i dont want to risk coming back to UAE.

While I chose to settle the matter for practical reasons, I would not recommend renting from this company based on my experience.

Avoid them at all costs

Avoid them at all costs. Constantly tried too charge my account with more and more deposits after returning car. Left my selfie stick and car and was never found (went back 10 minutes later). Emails will not be answered. Never refunded Deposit so I had to charge the amount back with the help of my Credit Card company. DO NOT RENT WITH HERTZ IN UAE

I strongly advise against using Hertz at Dubai International Airport.

I booked a higher category vehicle online at a competitive rate. Upon arrival, I was told — without any prior notice — that my reservation had been cancelled. Yet, I was able to show the staff that the booking still appeared as active in their system, which they acknowledged.

Despite this, they forced me to accept a lower category vehicle at a higher price, with no alternative or explanation beyond blaming a so-called “pricing error”.

No apology, no gesture of goodwill — just cold, unhelpful staff and an obvious strategy: lure customers with fake prices, then cancel the booking at the counter and make them pay more for less.

Customer service is nonexistent, and there’s zero accountability. This is clearly a dishonest practice, especially shameful coming from a major international brand like Hertz.

Avoid at all costs.

Extremely disappointed

I recently booked a car through the Hertz UAE website, expecting a reliable and well-maintained vehicle in line with the Hertz brand.
Unfortunately, the car I received was extremely disappointing and way below expectations. It had almost 130,000 km on it, no rear camera, and was noticeably shaky when taking off. Even more concerning, the oil indicator light kept switiching between blue and green, which felt unsafe.
This car should not have been listed as an option in the catalog, especially without any advance notice about its condition.
A car in this condition should not have been part of the available fleet — it was not what I expected from Hertz.

They took the deposit and claiming they

They took the deposit and claiming they release it after 1 month. But its now 1 month and 15 days there is no return of the deposit. I claimed dispute with my bank and bank will take another 21 to 45 business days to return my deposit. Next time if you book the car for rent with them then say we will pay you in 80 business days. Such a headache.

First Experience with Hertz Dealers

As a first experience i had the opportunity today. My car was for its service and the Hertz representative Mr. Waqas Ahmad called me. First he said the greetings and then followed with the enquiry of my location to replace the car with mine. As i shared him the location and i could find out the location was wrong, and I had totally forgot about it. When Mr. Waqas called again saying he reached then i understood about the location. I shared him the correct one and asked him whether he could come and without hesitation he said ok and once he reached he was very polite and had the patience to listen to my issues and noted down.The overall experience was good and Hertz Keep it up the way the employees are profiled.
